There are lots of very dramatic reviews on here slating these, but here's the thing: they're treats, not food, and of course if you give a load of them to a cat every day it's not as good as a balanced diet. That's like giving daily happy meals to your five year old. My cat loves them, and he gets a few as a reward when he does something helpful, like letting us clean off whatever he's rolled in outside, or accepting defeat when it comes to any spot-on treatment required. My partner also managed to train him to do 'paw' with them for requesting food, rather than shouting from the kitchen whenever he was hungry. He doesn't get them every day,but he does get some hidden in his favourite spots around the house when we go away and he has to put up with a cat-sitter not doing things the way he is used to. We love our cat, and it is important to us that he feels good, so he gets a balanced vet-advised diet, and the occasional treat. I like the analogy someone else used, that they are like Pringles - addictive but only in a junk food sense. He also loves cheese, mashed potato and popcorn, but if he lived on those, he'd be in cat fat-camp.As for the allergic reactions and vomiting others have mentioned, that's what happens when we give him yoghurt based treats or the higher end, richer foods like cat pate, so we avoid them. He even reacts to whiskas gravy based pouches, whereas the jelly ones are fine. He gets hyperactive on anything from the Felix range, and always has done. That's cats for you. They have sensitive stomachs, and there are days he will throw up and we have no idea if that's because he's eaten something we've given him, or if it was a small rodent he scarfed the night before. So we give him the things he's fine with, and don't give him the things that make him vom, and hope that he doesn't eat too much carpet crap or small animals that disagree with him. If they make your cat sick, don't give them to your cat. Try a different treat. If your cat is eating too many, give them less. If your cat is demanding them aggressively, remove them and don't give them so often, or at all. The treats aren't bad, they just don't suit all cats. Because cats have weird digestive systems, and they are fussy creatures.

There are some harsh criticisms amongst the reviews but I can honestly say hand on heart that Dreamies are the best cat treats ever!WARNING I do completely agree that cats do act like crack addicts getting a fix but as long as they are given in moderation and in a routine they are fine. My cats 2yrs and 15yrs old both have a healthy diet of homemade cat food with no plant proteins and they both are given 4 in there evening meal. This is obviously the most looked forward to meal of the day.Other than this 8 dreamies are put in different food mazes each day so they have to work for them. Dreamies are the only treat they will go to the effort of working the mazes for. I have tried lots of other treats. They did enjoy felix goody bag treats once upon a time but if I give them one now they just look at me like stupid or have insulted them. They are also good for hiding around the house my younger cat knows I hide 8 at a time and wont stop searching until everyone is found. My cats (like many others) try to get more and guide me to the cupboard where the dreamies are kept but its as simple as this IGNORE them. Do not be bullied by your cat.Overall I really don't think giving cats 8 small dreamies a day, which they absolutely love, is bad for them if they are on a healthy diet. Like all treats they should be given in moderation. However I do think 20 a day is a bit much.Enjoy cat lovers, you'll be their favourite human :)

I put these in finger bowls on a buffet which was looking a little sparse, because I'd had a glass or two of wine ahead of the guests arriving and couldn't be arsed to walk to Tesco for some additional nibbles - anyway, they went down a treat. People seemed to palm a few of them, and pop them into their mouths, and then swallow them as quickly as possible, before their eyes bulged so much as anyone would casually notice. OK if they had a drink in their hand, but if they didn't then a pickled egg as a chaser got the same result, albeit a little more slowly. I saw one lady stuffing salted peanuts into her cakehole to 'dilute' the effect of the Dreamies, and make things more palatable. It was well worth the laugh, great value for money, and the cat ate all the crumbs at the end of the day. I'd do it another time.

My two cats take great delight in watching me open a new pouch of food and then turning up their noses and walking away from it in disgust. Yes, they may have eaten that same food this morning, but by this afternoon it is no longer to their taste. This infuriates me, and they know it? Who was it that said that humans never own cats? How right they were, whoever it was - I don't own my two, they own me!So, to try and save on waste (and money), I thought I'd get these treats to sprinkle onto the top of the (obviously disgusting) food that they would no longer eat - and yes, it worked. Thank God!Dreamies are a fairly soft biscuit and are quite large, so one packet doesn't go a long way.My two cats have most definitely approved of them and almost hoover them up - aswell as the the food underneath.Good stuff!

I don't know what's in these things, but the way my cat craves them is disturbing. I bought a bag a few months ago, and never offered them much to my kitten. Recently, however, I've discovered their power. If he's outside and I can't find him, often just shaking the bag gets him inside. If he's gone someplace in the house and we want to get him back, a bit of a shake and he comes running. He adores these things, and will do, apparently, anything to get them.I am worried that they're the cat equivalent of crisps or doritos; they're probably not very healthy, so we only use them when we absolutely want to get him to come to use, or as a reward for doing something especially good.

Well the cats really do love these, even our little feral cat who, bless her, didn't know what cat treats were, has recently discovered they are something she should be eating right now lol. The kitties seem to like most of the flavours but the chicken version is definitely their number one choice. This was good value for a box of 8 packets (similar price to when they are on special in the supermarket) and free delivery doesn't hurt either. The soft centre is also good for older cats who maybe have dental problems and can't handle so much hard dry food but this is a little easier for them as a treat along with their wet food. 5/5

I buy these on the odd occasion for my cat. I don't feed them to her directly, they either go in her treat ball or I hide them on her cat tree, makes it more fun. My cat can hear the bag being opened from a mile away, no chance of doing it discreetly. People saying this is like a drug to cats ..... Are you sure your feeding your cats dreamies? I'll put 6-8 pieces in my cats treat ball, she'll spend time getting them out but she'll only eat 2 or 3 at a time, and save the rest till later. Surely if they're like 'drugs' my cat would eat them all in one go and destroy the ball getting at them. just don't go mad handing them out.

I've been informed by a friend of mine that Dreamies is like crack cocaine for cats. I don't know what they put in the stuff, but next doors kitties go ballistic over the damn stuff. Ok that's that out of the way. The reason I've put fingers to keyboard is that these packs retail at £1.38 at the local supermarket (The one where you slap your backside as you leave) If you don't mind the wait, purchasing them off of Amazon you get them for £0.94. That's a saving of 44p a packet. Which in the not so long run adds up something rotten. And supermarkets are where you are supposed to save money.

My cats love these although my little tortoiseshell finds them too rich and throws up, may be its because she is a hunter but the other two cats gobble them up as if they will never be fed again. Highly recommended but do not give the cats too many at a time, gave some to my neighbour and her cat loves them too. Pity price has gone up from £8 to £9.51 this means I will not be able to give the cats treats often and buying them on Amazon is no cheaper than local shop. Pity!!!

My kitten loves regular Dreamies, but nothing makes him crazier than the Dreamies Deli-Catz treat, especially the beef flavour. He’s not fussy when it comes to food or treats but there’s something about these that makes him go INSANE. We’d picked up one box which contained a few sachets at Pets at Home and they went very quickly so we thought we’d buy in bulk. He went mental when he saw all 16 boxes of his favourite treats waiting for him.I’d highly recommend these.

I befriended a feral kitten, whose is now my house cat. She's there when I get up in the mornings, waiting on the coffee table - above the drawer where I keep the Dreamies for her morning treat . I bought these for her after I found her starving outside and gradually gained her trust by feeding her, then eventually getting her indoors for her meals. She absolutely loves her Dreamies and I now have a regular supply for her :)

Would give this 5 stars if the ingredients were less vague than "cereals, oils and fats, derivatives of vegetable origin, meat and animal derivatives" etc. I don't think I'd have much of a problem with the ingredients, it would just be nice to know more specifically.Whatever the 1.1mg of tuna flavour per kg is, my cat goes crazy for it, I'm pretty sure she would risk injury to get one.

Im a firm believer that Dreamies are like kitty crack. My cats looooooooooove them. I have three large boys so this 8 pack was good value for money and has lasted really well. Meal time is not complete without a couple of dreamies each and no peace is given until the humans comply with their demands. I often find one or more of the cats trying to break into the treat drawer for these.

Our cats go crazy for these and they suffer terribly if we run out but amazon comes to the rescue and saves the cats suffering from withdrawal symptoms in no time with their print delivery.(shame the owners can not be as efficient as amazon said the cats). These are good value for what you get(as well as fatter cats). We give these out as treats after the cats use the litter tray.

Dreamies seem to work just like they do in the adverts, my 2 cats are hooked on them. Please remember they are a treat and not a nutritionally balanced biscuit, they should be given to your cat sparingly. Our Vet told us they are loaded with sugar so excessive consumption can lead to weight gain and even feline diabetes.A few a day as a treat should not be a problem.
