I use this to lock the spindle on my huge Skill hammer drill which came without a spanner and does not have a built in spindle lock. It has a keyless chuck and if I don't use a spanner, the drill bit will spin. This spanner is ideal for this job and is probably quite good at tightening or loosening 15mm nuts and bolts. 15mm is also the correct size for bicycle pedals and this spanner is probably just long enough if the threads are not seized.

Having bought a professional spanner/socket set from Halfords I thought I'd never need another spanner, but unfortunately they never include the sizes that you really need and 18mm was one of them. These Draper spanners are made of strong, good quality chrome vanadium alloy and not your cheap plastimetal rubbish that they sell in your local budget toolshed. At this price I have no complaints whatsoever.

I bought this for bike pedals which it is slim enough for. It is stronger and more robust than the overly priced tinfoil bike pedal spanners for sale, hence the purchase. It tightens, loosens and other 'spannery' things. Buy one if you need a good 15mm spanner. Don't buy this if you need to feed the pockets of weak, bendy pedal spanner sellers (the pedal spanners are weak and bendy too!).

Good value mid-range spanner. Well finished and a good fit on nuts. Not quite up to the Elora quality of my other sets (Also by Draper) but not same price either! Though I would entrust my knuckles to this item in all but most extreme situations. Bought to use indoors rather than in the garage so it can be kept clean, oil and grease free!

I bought two of these to replace the spanner bent in my set. The spanner that got bent had already done a really good job and was made of cryptonite! This has also done a good job, in fact at one point I had to use both on either side of a bolt and nut on the car and this was seriously seized. Finished the job off perfectly! Recommended.

It's a shiny spanner. It does spanner stuff without snapping or deforming and maintains good grip on the bolt head. Invaluable for changing a Freelander TD4 drive belt. I have confidence that it will continue to do shiny spanner stuff for a long time... or until someone pilfers it and runs it over with a tractor.

Well, its a spanner. It was a good fit, did what it was supposed to and is still good to go. I thought I had one but this appears to be a bastard size that nobody includes in spanner sets. Draper was, and as far as this purchase goes, still is a good name.

I usually buy Draper tool's, I've never had one break and they always do the job. Why pay £££ for a fancy brand when Draper work just as well ?This particular spanner took quite a beating and stood up to it well. Very happy.

Just buy this for your bicycle needs - Parktools and the like make genuinely great quality stuff, but a good old spanner does the job as well.Solid, made of metal, spanner like - what can go wrong.

Seems very sturdy. Used it to change my bicycle pedals which after three years being weathered felt like they were welded on. With this little baby and an allen key it undid like a charm.

This looks and feels like a good quality spanner. It did what I wanted and so far seems to show no signs of being a poor quality like some of the cheaper brands.

Lovely spanner. Large size that's not always included in kits, I needed this for a particular suspension bolt, does the job. What can you say about a spanner?

and I have NO complaintsI needed to remove a towbar fitted to my car I bought new in 2006, rusted on, this hammer easily took a 5lb hammer to do the job

Well finished, and I hope as strong as you'd expect from the Draper brand. I bought it for my bike so am not likely to be putting it to any hard work.

good quality and tough want to take down a flag pole where the bolts were rusty in the ground so used a lot of force on it and it did not break
