I tried quite a few different bottle brands, (my baby was premature and low birth weight and struggled with feeding) including Tommee Tippee and NUK, and Dr Brown's have been the only ones my baby could use.POSITIVES:- Baby can feed from them easily - the teats don't collapse like the Tommee Tippee ones did- The flow of the included Level 1 teats is appropriate (not ridiculously fast like NUK)- They really helped (but didn't totally cure) my baby's wind problems/colic- They come with a small vent brush for cleaning- All of the parts can be cleaned in the dishwasher (in a dishwasher basket) to save time handwashing all the parts - and the measurements on the side don't rub off- They do a premature baby bottle with a 'preemie'teat which were the only bottles my baby could take to begin with, and when he was older he transitioned easily to these bottlesNEGATIVES:- They have quite a few parts and take a while to clean by hand, particularly due to the small tubes in the vent- You have to buy travel caps (around £3 for a pack of 2) separately as you can't shake the bottles to mix the formula with the teats on as the bottles leak - because of this, they should really come with a travel cap included!- If you need to heat up a bottle, you need to slightly unscrew the collar of the bottle to release pressure while it heats, as otherwise formula will travel up the vent tube and out of the collar of the bottle. You then also need to remember to tighten the collar back up to check the temperature and feed - I've forgotten on a couple of occasions during sleepy night feeds and ended up with formula everywhere! But once you're used to loosening and tightening, it works and stops leaks- They can stain easily if you put them in the dishwasher with anything that has a slight residue but then I'm sure that all bottles are the same in this regard- compared to other bottle brands, they are quite large and bulky to carry around in the changing bag (especially when you move on to the 270ml larger bottles)- They end up being quite expensive when you're buying a few (I bought 8 including the 2 that come with the microwave steriliser) and extras such as travel capsITEMS WHICH MAY BE USEFUL TO HAVE IF USING THESE BOTTLES:- Dr Brown's bottle travel caps - an essential really, as you need them to be able to shake the bottles and take them out and about- A dishwasher basket to save time handwashing the parts all the time (I use the OXO Tot basket which I got from Amazon)- Skip Hop double bottle bag - I spent some time after I'd purchased these bottles looking for an insulated bottle bag that would fit the 270ml bottles as well as these, as they're quite tall, and this one does the job- Level 2 teats ready - the Level 2 teats say 3 months+, but I was advised to move my baby on to them at 2 months as he was getting frustrated with the Level 1 teats by then and getting tired before he finished a feed - and he was very small for his age- Dr Brown's microwave steriliser- A colourless and fragrance free washing up liquid if handwashing to avoid any staining of the bottles (I use Fairy Pure and Clean)

I’m never one for writing reviews but if this review means somebody buys these bottles and if helps with their unsettled baby I’ll be happy.Firstly I was a bit skeptical when buying the bottles as I was thinking ‘how could a bottle really make a difference’? But after our baby suffering from colic, and spending several hours through the night screaming, we were willing to give anything recommended to us a try.The first thing I noticed with the bottles is how much slower the feed was, baby would usually gulp her bottles down, but with these Browns bottles she was unable to do so and the feed could take up to 15/20 minutes longer (which can be annoying with the night feed, but totally worth it)After almost the first day of using these bottles the difference we seen in her, she was almost like a new baby. There was no more horrendous screaming through the night, and she is an all round more settled baby. She will settle a lot sooner and happier after feeds and sleep for longer through the night! As for some reviews state about the leaking, we haven’t really had an issue with this. Yeah one or two spillages here and there but nothing major, if used and cleaned correctly as stated you shouldn’t really have a problem with that. The only issue we’ve found is they don’t like being tipped upside down, and won’t fit in our insulated bottle warmers, so we just take a warm bottle in our original bottles and transfer to the Browns bottles when ready for feeding. We have been using these bottles along side the infacol. And for us and baby I believe these bottles have really helped out, and for the price you pay if you are suffering with a colicky baby would recommend trying these Dr Browns bottles.

Our little one had a few winding problems her first few nights home so our midwife suggested we buy these. After purchasing them and using with Infacol before each feed I can honestly say that they have made such a difference to her feeding. She seems to take her milk at a better rate and is a lot more settled after each feed once she's been winded. The vent system is excellent as it draws air to the bottom of bottle when in the feeding position. The 150 ml bottles also fit into our tommee tippee sterilizing machine which is also a huge bonus.Only 2 negatives which stop me from giving 5 stars is1) The price. To buy a set of bottles is costly compared to buying a pack of tommee tippee but you can't put a price on a restful nights sleep with a newborn.2)The bottles leak which is so frustrating, I've taken to swirling the milk formula and water instead of shaking it as I learnt the hard way at 3am having milk spill all over the bedroom floor, I'm surprised a product like this isn't made leak proof when tested as that's the only thing that let's this product down.Apart from that its a great product and money well spent.

We had been using the Medela bottles with the Calma teat since our daughter was born for 2 reasons: 1 - we had the Medela pump, 2 - The Calma teat replicates breastfeeding and we were keen to avoid any confusion. After about 3 months she began to reject the Medela bottle, so on recommendation from a friend we tried Dr Brown and it immediately made a difference - no more refusals. In hindsight I think it was wind that was causing discomfort and the Dr Brown bottle is far better at reducing wind.I bought the wide-neck Dr Brown bottle (by mistake) and it is much wider than the Medela, so doesn't fit the pump (see attached pictures). The Dr Brown has more components so requires more cleaning, but it's worth it for the wind-reduction.Highly recommended.

We bought the tommie tipee anti colic bottles but they were no good and my little girl suffered quite badly with gas. Bought these instead and coupled with ‘comfort’ branded formula products she has settled down nicely. I even use them to give her camomile tea and expressed breast milk which is a lot thinner in consistency and they keep the gas at bay just as well. I would recommend getting the bottle caps as they do not store liquid for times when you’re on the go and when shaking bottles for mixing formula they leak. Do not make formula with the vent in the bottle!! Buy the big ones since my little one has just about grown out of the 150ml size at 3 months.Vents are fiddly to clean but worth the hassle.

Love these bottles. Originally we bought the tommee tippee bottles as they came with one of the sets we were given. However, our baby hated them and ended up with terrible reflux due to the design. My sister suggested these bottles as she used them for my niece who had colic & we have never looked back. The straw design in the middle eliminates a lot of the air meaning reflux is kept to a minimum. Our baby quickly returned to birth weight and loves these bottles. The only downside to these is that they only seem to be sold in ones rather than sets making it expensive when you need a few. Wishing these were suggested sooner as we would have worried a lot less if these were used from birth!

This is an amazing bottle. I bought it for my son who had realy bad wind and I would end up winding him for + 2 hours . he would not take the outher brand bottels . but after a full day of feeder him I realy needed a brake. when he was 3 months old he started taking the bottle well and he has hardly any wind now. this bottle is made very well. clean Nicly but some times dose leak if you tip it to fast . you can use it with or with out the valve but if you have a windy baby I would suggest only using it with the valve as I once forgot to put the valve in ( sleep deprived mom ) and I had to again wind him for a long time .

OMG! These are godsend! My son is nearly 3 months and never drink 150 ml at once even worse he drink 90 then get very upset because the nipple collapse 100 times while feeding and stop drinking at all.First we started with tomee tippee but half the milk was dribbling of his mouth then switched to Nuk and again no success nipple collaps and baby was very gassy with this.I though to try these and will never regred .So happy to see him nicely fed and he is sleeping shortly after like lamb in his cot and i have to say he was upset all day long before and super windy.Such a pitty i didnt buy earlier !.

These bottles were great in terms of helping my daughters gas/colic but they are a little annoying to use as there are so many bits to it. It takes up a lot of room in the steriliser and more to wash up. They’re simple enough to wash (Just a lot of pieces) and easy to put together but they do leak quite badly. My daughter has now grown out of colic so I was hoping to use them without the vents as it says you can, but the teat just collapses and suctions in on itself so doesn’t work. They are quite expensive but were a life saver when my daughter was little so worth the money at the time!

Never disappointed by Dr Brown's bottles! Someone complain about leaking but I'm using this bottles by 3 months every day 6 times a day and the liking is happened only twice that probably mean that was me who didn't closed well the bottle or didn't washed well before (you need to clean this bottles, maybe not each time until the holes of the insert but at least with a soapy sponge and rinse very well!).My daughter actually prefer this bottles to anyone else (and I can assure you that I tried really many bottles, even more expensive than this one!).

Best bottles out there! We've tried everything on the market and could not escape fast flows (even with smallest-size tits) and wind. Dr Brown saved the day, ideal for newborns and for avoiding trapped wind and colic. Only minus is that they do have multiple components to clean, but so have the other anti-colic ones. Also, a bit bulky design. Regarding the leaking, they leak only if the top part (green) is not properly installed. Once I made sure it's in the right place, worked fine. I could not recommend Dr Brown more...

Dr browns is great and was a life saver for us when our baby suffered from colic. However, these particular bottles annoyed me as not only do they not come with nor fit a disc on them (to stop milk flowing into the teat for travelling) but the inside straw doesn't fit my other dr brown bottles. I don't understand why the brand would improve their bottles for them only to not work with the old style. I know only use these particular bottles at home and don't take them out.

Made a big mistake in buying the most known brands in the first place. As a midwife, I just assumed newborns take silicone and nipple shaped teats better. However, our baby suffers a lot from reflux and colics and this is the only bootle that she feels comfortable drinking from, as she can control the flow better. Whether your baby suffers from the same or not, there’s no harm in preventing it. It’s the best bottle to have and I will recommend it.

I have always used Dr Browns, mine were looking a bit tired at 11 months so bought some new ones. We used to have the normal ones that they sell in the supermarkets with the green tube, but I decided to get the pink ones having a daughter... they look great and still do the same job, but the lids are pointless they just don't stay on! Wish I stuck with the usual ones

I am so happy with this bottle that I have just ordered another one! I was using Tommee Tipee and Phillips Avent and my baby suffers from colic. The flow was too fast from these bottles and it used to leak through his cheek which was causing problems. This Dr Brown's bottle doesn't leak, flows at very slow pace, easy to clean. Highly recommend!
