I've grown up with Yardley's Lavender. It is something that I have used from being a child and still use now.I like the lavender soap that Yardley's produce. It is a solid pale brown block of soap which smells like lavender rather than a chemical variation and, best of all, its perfume lasts for almost the entire usage of the soap.Lavender is known to help reduce stress, is calming and aids sleep. It also has antiseptic qualities and helps alleviate pain. I can testify a couple of these qualities.Due to a long illness I have problems sleeping (a sort of pain induced insomnia) and I have noticed that I get a better night's sleep if I wash with the Yardley's lavender soap before I go to bed.Itis known that the aroma of lavender eases tension that is caused by the pain and because (like a vicious circle) the tension causes the pain to increase and the counter action is that when tension is reduced the pain is also reduced. I can confirm that using Yardley's lavender has had a pain reducing affect on me.Yardley has always produced quality products and I'm glad to say that after all these years they still do.I know that Lavender is frequently regarded as an "old lady" fragrance but I love it and I admit that, regardless of the other perfumed soaps I have tried, I always come back to Yardley's lavender. It helps with sleeping, reducing stress, tension and pain and it smells great, and best of all you get 3 bars of lovely soap.

You can tell this is a high quality soap and it does last, but calling it a rose soap is a bit misleading as it has a very mild smell and with only a hint of rose to it. It is a nice smell, which I would describe as linen with a hint of talc and rose blended in. The soap is smooth and lathers well with only a little water. It is great for hands or the bath and it doesn't make your skin dry at all. It goes well on a flannel or sponge and it is a thick lather rather than bubbly. The smell is like fresh sheets but with a smell of older soaps. Yardley have changed their soaps over the years and this 'new' one actually smells more like the older ones from years ago.I had heard that Yardley were doing a revamp on their products and that they were returning to their roots and after smelling these new ones, which I have purchased for years, I can tell you that Yardley is returning to its more traditional smell. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does depend on whether you prefer the more old fashioned smell that this soap has or more of a strong rose smell that more contemporary soaps have. You could give this as a gift but make sure that the person you are giving it to prefers more traditional smells like Dior and those sort of perfume houses.

Ordered a box of these as a present from England for some German friends, part of a thankyou for their wonderful hospitality. This scent couldn't be more typically English. It's 'English Lavender' from an old London company, with two Royal Warrants on the elegant box. Then I looked at the info. on the back ! "Made in Germany" !!! What on earth is going on ?Life gets more and more confusing. Sadly, I recently abandoned wonderful 'Pears' Soap' after Unilever ended a 200 year-old recipe in favour of nasty-smelling synthetic ingredients. Now they make it in India. (I had used it and loved it for 50 years, heartbreaking I call it.)Decided I couldn't give the Yardley's to my German friends, but I did enjoy using the 'German-English-Lavender' soap myself.

I've bought toiletries online before and been badly disappointed with stale items; this time I thought better to buy direct from Yardley and, well, wow.Terribly girly and romantic. Delish. I've put the packets into my errrm drawers drawer, just to get that lovely sweet smell. Going to be even better when I use a soap to wash with.Sorry about all the effusion but - ecstatic :D

Lovely stuff if you like the smell of lavender, which I do. I have also learned over the years that tripled milled soap is by far the best sort to buy. I have never known the bar to split when left in the dish to dry, it has a lovely smooth and creamy lather and lasts for ages, right down to the last sliver!

The package of 3 bars of soap quickly arrived, well packaged.on opening the envelope the lavender fragrance was very evident.I have put all three bars in my sweater drawer to feel the benefit until my Imperial Leather runs out. This product is a good price and is post free. I will order it again.

These yardley lily of the valley soap trio packs are quality made soap but they don't smell nicer than the brand morny lily of the valley soap which i prefer but only because of the smell but those soaps tend to go a bit mushy after awhile while these yardley soaps don't which i prefer too. Hmmm!

We love lavender soap. These bars are creamy and fragrant; we feel so calm and relaxed after a nice, hot bath. The lavender smell is not as strong as the French brand we have used or the original Yardley lavender soap but we enjoy it just the same. Will definitely order again. Thank you!!

I bought these as gifts, so haven't opened them, but you can even smell the lavender fragrance through the packaging. The boxes are different from shown (as in the enclosed photo), which is possibly a more modern version. Also, the price is unbeatable at under 3 pounds per box of 3 soaps.

Yardley make the best lavender soap. I couldn't be more pleased with this product. I keep on buying it for the bathroom, it is high quality but at a very reasonable price.Yardley is a name you can trust.Smell is delicate and lathers up very well.Perfect

Don't be tempted to buy cheaper alternatives as these soaps are the best. A bit more expensive but worth the extra as the scent is what you'd expect from Yardley. Delivered well within the time scale. Would recommend this product every time.

Ahhhhhh violets.........such a lovely perfume. Lovely creamy soap. I don't know why violet perfume is not readily available in shops now, must have gone out of fashion or something, but I would strongly recommend.
