This hood is made in Japan, and as one would expect it immaculately made and finished. It fits the Olympus 17mm f1.8 with no discernible vignetting. No play in the threads and they don't seem to bind either. A 55mm diameter pinch lens cap fits the front since there is no internal threading on the inside base of the hood. A really top bit of kit, and much better value than the Olympus LH-48B hood for example.
