Let me just say that this game is absolutley amazing. It has everything a DS player could want; story, strategy, action PLUS the longevity all great DS games need. The combat involves drawing various runes on the bottom screen in order to defeat your oponent.However, it takes a lot of strategy and accuracy to become a good player.Strategy comes into play when you are introduced to the various types of spells you can draw. Some runes have low mana costs and medium damage, but can be blocked with the shield. Others use more mana, but cannot be blocked. Curses (some of the most powerful spells) can be blocked easily, so the player has to combine it with barrier-breaking spells in order for it to hit the opponent.It all sounds very complicated on paper,

Doodle Hex is not a puzzle, it's not a rpg, it's not a strategy game, but it's got a bit of all these genres and it works really well.It's a stylus-only game where you draw spell runes to defeat your enemies. Each character has its own rune set and each runes has a different effect on yourself and the enemies.Very fun and deep game that people of all ages will love to bits, and the multiplayer is one of the most fun experiences you can have on a Nintendo DS.Highly recommended!
