I bought these to replace some old clicky (bad non-replaceable bearings) cage pedals and they are great grippers. My feet never come off and as such provide much better drive power. They look great and unique. Another plus is all the internal components are easily available as spares though as long as you maintain them and regularly top up the grease with the grease port it will probably be a long time till anything needs replaced. Some of the grip cleats are also replaceable though not all. Also the center pin which screws into the crank arm can be undone using a hex key as well as a pedal wrench for a little extra torque it if they get locked up.The one con I could find is the silver alloy ring seal has a tendency to slip off and rattle if your foot inadvertently hits it.They cant get lost though and I don't really notice till I finish my ride. (This could let mud and grunge into the internals.)This is the only reason I deducted a star.I have also owned the red blood splattered style ones and the quality is consistent. Both color styles look good depending on frame style.

Ordered some of these for my hard tail MTB, great pedals with great grip. Would even consider using them on my downhill rig. The pins are super grippy in that, if you accidentally catch one in the shin, it'll leave make you bleed a little but that's the price you pay. They come with a little syringe of grease and instructions to fill until grease starts to come out between the axle and the pedal body (or something similar). This is in no way achievable with the tiny syringe supplied and the reason they're not getting top marks. Not really an issue if you've got some teflon grease and a grease gun to hand but if you need to buy those that's another £10 expense. The V12 gets around this with a sealed bearing which doesn't need greasing but these are fine if you don't mind a bit of pre-riding prep.

Good strong pedals, should last a few years. Be aware though, the grease supplied is not even enough for 1 pedal, so if you follow the instructions provided then you may ruin the pedals. I put half of the provided red grease in each pedal, then pulled the syringe apart and filled it with my own grease ( a bit messy but easy enough ) and each pedal took a further whole one each. Just be careful not to cross thread the grub screw when replacing it.

Seem well made. The ring around the main spindle for keeping dust out of the bearings is an odd idea/design, can't see it working well. And they are very heavy. However I bought them for grip, not to reduce the weight of the bike, I have some SPD pedals for that. And from a grip point of view they are excellent. Having now fitted them, I do however wish I had paid the extra and got the V12's. But for the price, they are excellent.

Great Pedals!! so sticky to the feet but be careful with them, these little guys will take chunks out of your shins like a knife in butter. I have them on my single speed in London and they are fantastic. I have noticed a few people moaning about the lube - this is not an issue whatsoever and didn't actually use the whole tube when applying. they look great and are sturdy and would recommend to anyone.

Great pedals top quality and good priceStrengths:Easy to self serviceGreat gripGreat for beginners as cheap without compromise on quality.Weaknesses:Don't come lubed from factory and seringe of lube it comes with isn't nearly enough. Use a calpol seringe or other grease applicator to fill them.Overall: Great pedals at an awsome price that with care will last a very long time

Fantastic product, the red really gleams on my Cube Attention 29er and they feel really smooth. One small criticism, as others have pointed out, the amount of grease in the syringe is woefully inadequate, so best buy a small tube to do the job. I just squirted more grease into the syringe and filled up the pedals as described.Happy cycling!

Very grippy pedals, I mainly use them for downhill biking on a GT Avalanche 4.0 2012. Look very nice too when not caked in mud.Advised not to be used for road biking due to lack of reflective strip but i don't think this matters in the slightest, lights and a reflective jacket are plenty. Would also reccommend spoke reflectors.

I always buy V8s - outstanding value for money, really tough and reliable. These acid blue ones are pretty sweet too, mostly black with a kind of turquoise camo effect. Just note though, the pins on these are VICIOUS - they will tear up cheap shoes and they will tear up shins if slip or bang them!

Being out of stock recently at importer, prices even S/hand were hitting mid £30’s. That says a lot about them. They need to wear in as feel tight at moment, even a little rough. But I have a pair a few years old and are beautiful smooth and free running and my bike gets left outside.

These pedals are excellent. Solid, robust but not too heavy. The grease port is an excellent feature and allows you to service the pedals to keep them running nicely. I have put these pedals on my cyclocross bike, not really noticed the difference from my SPDs!

Excellent pedal - large area and very grippy. You MUST buy a tube of Grease with these.the syring that comes with it has grease inside - dont use that, fill it with your new grease and each pedal takes about 2-3 syringes full.

Nice product and as described. However, I might be being extremely fussy, but the axle on the right pedal feels slightly bent, it doesn't foe round true. It's not bad enough that it's unusable, but if I think about it I notice it

Back in the BMXing day I also used DMR as I trust them for quality. Now got a MTB and one of my first purchases was a DMR pedal set. Love this pedal and got to say that delivery was super fast leaving me feeling rather happy. :-)

Good value pedals which have made a big difference on the MTB trails. Most of the time my feet stick to the pedals which is great for ascents, drop-offs, etc.Would recommend them to folk who don't want to be clipped in.
