It's quality made. The red colored "kwiklock" Ceros uses a dual motion to open; twist and squeeze, that's it.The green "locksafe" (my other choice) adds an additional motion, "pull" before the "twist" and "squeeze" for more safety.I'm newer to climbing and I bought this to use mainly at the gym. So when climbing with fellow newbies that aren't belayed certified yet, I'm switching top ropes often. This makes it A LOT FASTER than a screw lock. The extra belay loop"trap" also helps keep it proper so there's no cross loading or flipping upside down etc, during that split second when I was a bit slow to take up slack.

Works great with the Edelrid Mega Jul, Petzl grigri 2, grigri plus, BD ATC guide, Wild Country Revo and even a Munter Hitch. Works okay with Mamoot Smart Alpine, but is slightly narrow and requires attention from the belayer.Screwgate closes nicely and quickly, unlike Metolius. Rope end is wide enough and with round profile so that a munter hitch works well, even with 10mm stiff rope. Works well on rappell. Anti-cross load feature out performs the similar features on both Black Diamond and Edelrid belay carabiners.Probably the best belay Carabiner I have tried and I've tried it huge number. Love this as a carabiner for my GriGri. It's simple to get used to using, prevents cross-loading, auto locks, and works very smoothly. My wife and I use this in a gym setting where we take turns going up the wall. This means regularly switching ropes, and whose harness it's on. It might take a tiny bit more time to get set up than a normal carabiner, but it also gives you something to do while your partner ties in. It's worth it for me to be sure I won't be cross-loaded, even if we're only top-roping indoors.

This biner is really well made and operates smoothly. Most importantly it completely eliminates the possibility of cross loading a grigri. I have tested it in every possible orientations and it always ends up loaded on the major axis. The captive bar works well, it is tight and the belay loop won't come out. Also opening toward the palm makes it easier to operate with one hand. The material and finish is top notch. I will be adding more DMMs to my rack from now on.

Best design for a belay carabiner meant for an assisted breaking belay device. The wire gate portion that connects to your harness is elegantly simple (compared to black diamond's version). The horn keeps a grigri type device from rotating all the way around. The twist gate locker doesn't need to be screwed down to lock.Anymore I laugh at my climber when belaying them and they ask if I'm "locked-up". This thing is sweet! Buy it if you use a grigri

Amazing for GriGri and other assisted lock devices like the Mad Rock Lifeguard. A bit bigger and heavier than I'd like, but it's the ultimate in convenience. 4.5 stars, rounded up.Edit: Changing this to 4 stars. I noticed that over time the wiregate creates a sharp edge on the bottom of the carabiner, which I have to sand down every couple of months.

This is easily the best belay biner I’ve ever used. Prevents cross loading better than any other I’ve tried (esp. with a GriGri) and super easy to use. I especially like that the gate that goes over the belay loop opens toward the back of the biner unlike many other brands. This makes it much easier to put on quickly and get set up.

For belay devices that have a tendency to twist or cross-load a typical carabiner, this device is a lifesaver. Perhaps literally. The lock that keeps it stationary on the belay loop solves that problem completely. The action of the catch is also beautifully precise and snappy. It's a VERY well-made piece of kit. Glad I got this!

This one works really well for keeping your GriGri in place and it's quick. The interior gate is much better than the BD Magnetron version, and it can't be crossloaded with a GriGri (which is another problem for the BD version). If you're running an autoblocking (GriGri), this is definitely the one to get to go with it.

Perfect. Absolutely bomber and idiot proof. You can’t cross load on the belay loop because of the secondary gate. You can’t cross load the gri gri because of the “horn”. You can’t forget to close the locker because it’s auto lock. Super safe. Super sturdy, lighter than it should be. Awesome product.

Wonderful upgrade to the normal locking carabiner specifically for belayers. The "horn" feature stops grigris from cross loading and the bottom gate keeps the carabiner snugly in place on the harness loop. I don't see myself using any other carabiner for belaying now!

I love this biner. It works just as expected, and the quality is great. I also have the Black Diamond Gridlock. If I had to pick between the two, at this time I would pick the DMM as I like the Rhino notch which keeps things in order.

I work at the local rock gym doing birthday parties. I noticed many kids returning to the ground with side-loaded carabiners. I like that fact that the lock and the retainer are independent of each other.

A more thought out version of the Black Diamond version, the Ceros smoothly reduces the ability of my belay device from starting to cross load. Another excellent product from DMM.

Excellent finish, easy one handed opening/closing, operates smoothly and no rough edges. I love and use it everyday and have no complaints about using or securing it.
