Super nice product, just beware of your phone limitations. The device is perfect. It is foldable, so it takes little space compared to standard gimbals. It is fast and reactive. It feels solid. It charges over USB-C and provides a USB port to charge your phone (being the phone mounted slightly angles on this version 3, the USB ports on your phone are accessible). It has good control on the device with a button to swap between portrait and landscape mode, the record button, the joypad for manual movement and the trigger to fix position, all of which can function without the DJI Mimo app.The software is good, but beware of your phone limitations. The DJI Mimo app offers some nice useful features.I like the tracking mode, where you can select an object or face and the device will track it keeping it centered on the screen. It offers also some zoom, though if the phone doesn't have physical optic zoom I wouldn't use it.The problem with the app is actually the phone. Samsung for example doesn't allow third party apps to use 60FPS through the camera API, therefore the DJI Mimo works ar 30FPS on my S8. Other phones have similar things, like newer Samsung, Oneplus... Check compatibility. The gimbal though works with the onboard app, and can use HID to use the record button on the phone app. So unless you need the object tracking, the regular app should do fine. All in all, I would definitely recommend this item. I would say especially because it future proof your camera, being that you probably change your phone every 2 years, but you are probably going to keep this at least twice as long or more.

Bought with a little bit of knowledge, enough to know it should solve many of the things which normally make me decide NOT to video. Smooth panning, smooth zooming and ease of use. I'm glad I took the plunge with this Osmo 3. I'm sure it will go everywhere with me from now on. The learning curve took a hour or so to become second nature and the muscle memory to use it smoothly took around the same time. The lense on my particular Sony Experia was too near the centre of the vertical phone axis and I could not mount the phone and have it balanced in landscape mode without the gimbal's motor housing obscuring 50% of the image. I almost sent the Osmo back but then remembered an unused Huawei Which solved the problem.I love this device.....a lot!

Only used once. Here are my thoughts:-- PositiveLoads of optionsTrigger button is greatJoystick is accurate and smoothEasy fold awayLight but well balancedWorks great with Samsung Galaxy S9+Very smooth shot, especially when runningGood priceLasts a long time on a full chargeYou can charge your phone from the handle. -- NegativeZoom is awful. So don't use it while shooting. Most phones show poor quality shots when zoomed in, even without a gimble.Fast tracking is poor, so don't buy this if you need o track some one/thing going at a quick pace, unless you are running with them. Takes ages to charge.Joystick look up doesn't go that high.

I've no idea how they manage to make this and sell it for a profit at this price!Everyone I've shown it to is amazed when I tell them how much it is. Its really easy to set up and get going - I'm using it with a Huawei P20 Pro - a simple download of the Dji Mimo app and you're away. It's got some really cool features like being able to switch from portrait to landscape with a double click and the tracking feature is really good and works really well. The only bad point is that the zoom function is a little clunky - although I suspect this is more to do with the phone itself rather than the Osmo. Overall you really can't go wrong - just buy it - you wont regret it.

Well, works well so far. So test it in action very soon. But to my disappointment the holder can't fit Samsung s7 edge with seacosmo rigid case for about 1mm so if I want to use it with my main phone will have to remove it. The same problem with LG g4 with extended battery. The plastic have a little cheap feeling when it's off. But will update that after it goes thru the desert in a week. And the update: little disappointed but work fine in slow environment and need a lot of patience to get use to work with it, sometimes invert the controls on its own. And had to calibrate it 3 times in 20 days and few hours of use.

Am overly pleased with the item. Got to be one of the best mobile gimbles on the market for quality to price ratio. Love the compact unit, great for travelling. Stabilisation is great. And the trigger for locking view is amazing. Really surprised at how good the item is. Ontop of that, its really handy having a usb charging port so i can keep filming and charging my phone at the same time, this product gets a 5/5 from me!Unfortunately it does not work with my phone, phone is to big Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra 6-Inch, check before you buy it works with your phone.

I needed to shoot some short promo videos for a local charity providing support during lockdown - funders wanted something showing volunteers at work and interviews with clients. I could have set up my Canon DSLR on a tripod but I wanted something lighter. My iPhone XS does good enough video - I just needed something to steady my hand. This was great as it allowed me to hand-hold and focus on what I was recording rather than on keeping my hand steady. Not explored all the options yet (like face tracking, panoramas or time lapse) - but I plan to.

I have been so pleased with this! Surpassed my expectations. When combined with the DJI memo app with its features that are beyond that of the iPhone standard ones, you get some really awesome photos as well as videos. The smoothness of the footage I have created is brilliant especially when walking.I am no Spielberg, Nolan or Kubrick; but those who have seen my mini movies I have made in the last few weeks have been seriously impressed.Turn your home movies into easily created and well loved features to be treasured forever

Nice feel to this one, simply by the types of plastic materials used, other brands just seem cheap and generic. There is no immediate out-of-box experience as it takes some testing and experimentation to get a feel for the intuitive way it works, but once you've got through this stage it becomes an extension of your own body, and movement it fluid and smooth. Take it for a spin while out walking the dog, you'll be astonished at the dog's eye view footage, compared to the junkable video clips you previously took.

ActiveTrack, Timelapse, Hyperlapse and gimbal stabilisation of video footage is great. Mimo app control of camera functionality not as comprehensive for Android users as it is for the iOS system but even then I think some iPhone 11 owners has not been too happy - check out YouTube. SlowMo is, frankly, better with my Huawei Mate 20 camera app than the DJI mimo app. Also Mimo cannot access and use the excellent Huawei wide angle lens, so again it's best to use the gimbal for stabilisation only

Absolutely love this DJi Osmo 3. Not only does it do what it’s intended (stabilise video) it’s packed with features, shoot timelapse, hyperlapse, panoramic photos, & story modes which automatically edits the transitions for you. It’s a 3-Axis gimbal which means it stabilises the pan, tilt & roll Axis. Battery life is amazing, you’ll have no problem shooting all day using this. I’m using iPhone 11 Pro with this device however the clamps move wide enough to accommodate larger format phones. :)

For me as a Youtuber this is a better choice than a drone, you can use it anywhere without worrying about rules/crashing it/annoying the neighbours and get those scenic shots of whatever you are trying to film. The setup is a bit of a faff but there is enough clear guidance to get anyone through it within a few minutes. I use a iPhone XR and have had some stunning 4K scenic shots/hyperlapes off this. Hidden USB for external charging & 15 hr battery life but tracking does reduce batt life

Due to covid 19 my dad has been off work, and I am a key worker working with vulnerable children we have been going to the parks and enjoy videos and photos of scenery. I then came across the Osmo and my dad looked at the reviews and videos and recommended it as a surprise i then bought him one and myself. I absolutely love it. It is good value for money comes in a little case with a tripod stand you can even download an app. The Osmo it’s really easy to use and I would highly recommend.

I bought this gimbal to compliment the amazing camera on the iPhone 11 Pro, footage looks very smooth and steady and the app lets you track objects or people easily, you can also set the system up on a tripod, and using a hand gesture it will start recording and tracking you by itself. My only gripe is that the DJI memo app doesn’t support the wide angle lens yet, but it works fine using the normal camera app or a third party app like filmic pro etc. You just lose the tracking feature.
