Unless you've been living under a rock the past 18 months then i'm certain that you will have heard of Dior Sauvage. This is a 2015 Eau de Toilette release created by François Demachy the in house perfumer for the house of Christian Dior. I myself have started collecting fragrances the past few years and this one has been a long time coming but glad i finally added it to my growing collection.As you may or may not be aware but all fragrances have several component parts and in many cases natural ingredient are used. Many of the more expensive fragrances follow this simple rule, Blue de Chanel by Chanel being a prime example in their use of naturally grown Jasmine among other ingredients.Sauvage by Dior differs on this front in that while it still uses several different components they are all synthetic. Typically fully synthetic fragrances tend to suffer due to a lack of quality or authenticness but due to the expert way Sauvage is blended along with a very powerful Ambroxan note (effectively artificial ambergris which is a very expensive and rare whale by-product).Here are my fragrance notes:Top Note (Smell you get as soon as you spray it up untill it dries on skin):The Ambroxan creates an almost musk-esk note, very strong at first with hints of spiced pepper and a citrus accord, very fresh and nostril opening, certainly arrives with a big fanfare to say "i'm here". It's fresh and is mass appealing, it certainly won't cause offence to anyone around you.1-6 Hours after spraying:As soon as it starts to dry, a faint lavender and woody note start to come through as the initial amber accord settles down slightly. You only get hints of it but that's all you need. I also get a strong Patchouli accord that comes through the longer you wear this fragrance, almost as if the initial Amber note is that strong you get other components revealing themselves as the Amber starts to recede. You certainly get a nice scent bubble around you while wearing this scent although it doesn't project beyond and arms length. My girlfriend did note however it leaves a lovely trail as you walk around.6-8 Hours after spraying:You can certainly detect a drop off in performance during this period but it's still stronger than most other fragrances and indeed for an Eau de Toilette concentration i'm actually very impressed. You would swear blind this was an Eau de Parfum concentration given how well it continues to linger and project itself even though it does sit closer to the skin after some 7-8 hours8-12 Hours after spraying:After the 8 hour mark this fragrance strictly became a skin scent on me... meaning it can only be detected if you directly sniff the skin. However, when you do this the original notes of Amber, spice and that citrus note i told you about remain quite strong. My girlfriend commented the next morning that she could smell it on me which was rather comforting.VERDICT: The thing about Sauvage is there's nothing in this fragrance that hasn't been used before somewhere else, what makes it a success is how it has been blended, which is nothing short of perfection. It's fresh, sexy and sensual all at the same time! This will have mass appeal and won't cause offence to anyone around you and could be warn to any and all social gatherings, casually, formally, work, date night or even a wedding. The only downside is because of it's current popularity you may find others wearing it too. Personally this is a must have fragrance and i've yet to encounter anyone that doesn't like it, indeed many comment saying it smells rather classy which i would agree with.Other things i wish to note before i finish, I love the bottle especially with the magnetic top which is similar to Chanel bottles and has two polar magnets in it meaning the Christian Dior logo always lines up perfectly with the front of the bottle. The atomiser spray is excellent, you won't find a better sprayer both in the amount of juice dispensed but also how widely it does so. As always ensure that the serial number punched into the box matches up with the serial number found on the bottom of the bottle! For those that want to know my batch code is 7W03 which means it was made in September of 2017. Only remaining thing i wish to say is I always follow the 5 spray method, one spray under each ear, one at the back of the neck and then one on each shoulder spraying directly on clothes and i find that works the best especially for longevity.As for Dior Sauvage, i highly recommend this fragrance, it can be used in any situation and i can finally see why it is so popular! RECOMMENDED!

Well. Dior fragrances are not exactly cheap, and more than any other fine fragrance house they seem to be at full price wherever you buy them from, so I guess they won't let anyone sell them at a reduced cost.But sometimes, that doesn't matter. I have always been a massive fan of Fahrenheit and have paid the high price without hesitation for it. My girlfriend is hugely fussy about fragrances but she and I both love Hypnotic Poison, which although heavy on the vanilla is very alluring and powerful. Though I think Dior have discontinued it and that's a shame.I have already got bottles of Boss Number One, Calvin Klein Truth (also discontinued but fortunately not hard to source), Joop Splash, Tommy,Versace, Boss Bottled, and Givenchy Play in the house. I'm a fan of many scents, but my girlfriend isn't terribly keen on them - only Boss Bottled does she really approve of, and Truth she is indifferent about. The others she doesn't like much at all.As soon as we got a whiff of Sauvage we were both immediately blown away. It's absolutely lovely. I don't really need to be convinced to like it by arty adverts, certainly it would be nice to not to have a Johnny Depp appearance fee included in the price, since it makes no difference to me, I'd have tried it out in shops anyway.I think the 100ml bottle that I own was around £70.00 in Boots. My birthday was last month so the other half decided to splash out and I like it better than all those others I mentioned, and so does she. And true to form when she trawled the internet for better offers the price was uniform wherever she tried.I say shelve any objections about cost because it's so beautiful and classy, and I don't find - as has been suggested - that it doesn't last. And almost every day someone asks about it or compliments me. Not that that matters to me, as that happens with other scents too.

I bought this from Boots. It was around £70, but after reading all the reviews, I decided to treat myself. I wore it the next day at work and I had every female in the office asking what the gorgeous smell was. Everyone loved it and said it was sexy. It is one of those scents that you either love or hate, very musky. More suited to more mature gentlemen (Im in my 50s). Not as soapy or sweet as younger boys prefer.Definitely mature, masculine and sophisticated. Lots of people say that the smell doesnt last, mine lasted all day. The secret is to apply any fragrance just after showering, apply a non scented moisturiser to the skin before spraying to slow down evaporation and NEVER rub in as you will cause it to evaporate immediately.Hope this helps...try it and you will receive loads of compliments.

Eau Sauvage was the first aftershave I ever bought (more than 30 years ago), and it's one I still keep going back to. It is a light fresh fragrance suitable for day wear. The predominant scents are citrus, but it has some light woody undertones to round it out. It is exceptionally long lasting, and a single morning application will last the full day, but unlike other long lasting fragrances it is never over-powering. Although definitely a masculine fragrance, I know a couple of women who love it so much that they wear it themselves. It's a real crowd pleaser which I will buy again and again.

Since wearing this scent I have increased confidence to the point that I can feel my own radioactive energy signature bouncing off things and coming back to me. I am stronger, fitter and have developed some telekinetic powers. My wife isn't more attracted to me but that's because she knows that 99% of women that now smell me want me so she is trying to be an anticonformist... but I'm gonna give her time to adjust! But seriously this fragrance is amazing, I've never enjoyed smelling myself so much! May the force be with you!

Loved it!My wife bought me this recently for my birthday and I liked this fragrance immediately, however my wife wasn't so sure.I found the fragrance agreeable, lasting and remarkably fresh. It lasts all day, and for that reason is worthwhile.My wife wasn't so sure, and even claimed the smell to be "musky ", BUT, given a few days, it's truly grown on her.Top fragrance and only Jealous that someone like Johnny Depp probably gets it all free. Well recommended.

It's a great product.My partner always compliments me on it when I wear it. I actually quite like the atomiser on this because its got this sort of soft pray action. I can control the amount of the spray, as opposed to one push, one spray action.My only real gripe with this is how damn popular it is - few girls have commented on that I smell great. But it's a very familiar smell. And to be honest, I don't really want to smell like the next dude!

A very long time ago, when I was newly married, I spent hours searching for an aftershave for my husband for Christmas. I visited every chemist and tried every aftershave/eau de toilette on offer. Eau Sauvage was the best and has remained so for years! I have tinkered with buying newer fragrances (I quite liked Higher) but I always come back to this fabulous smell. Please note, my children also like it (13 - 24) so it is not just for older men!

After been trying over 200 Perfumes the best possible in my life finally i found a Masterpiece, it's very sexy, a truly lovely scent, unique, the King of the Seduction, women get mad with his magnetic smell.Listen guys i am not joking, this Perfume is the best Perfume i ever seen to attract the opposite sex, this was for sure the Casanova Perfume and his Secretct is here right now, don't wait anymore and get it!

I have bought Eau Sauvage several times for the man in my life and the reason I love it is because it is not too over powering but it lasts for ages and has a lovely fresh scent its citrus but quite rounded warm and not sickly.It is expensive but well worth it and in comparison with some of the competition it stands alone as a classy,subtle,sexy scent and it is Dior so all in all the perfect package

Dior must have changed the smell....not as I remember. When I used it back in the day it was gorgeous....glorious Beirut 1968 days....I swear it was lemony ...it would last all night or day....The bottle that arrived was supposed to be edition...this was not.... very nice but disappointed.... smell doesn't last long not like the old version ....will have to be careful next time....

Fabulous men's aftershave, had a sample given to my husband and we really like it. nice bottle and looks expensive - which I thought it was, Amazon was the cheapest I could find at the time but still think its far to expensive - but would I buy it again ? - yes probably as the smell is divine.My husband seems to like it and he has had a couple of comments on the aroma being nice.

Smells incredible. It's the one EDT that I always hear about and I can seriously understand why. It's fresh citrus smell is refreshing and lasts a seriously long time. I got many compliments wearing this and noticed that I could still smell it the next morning, after applying it at 7pm the night before. Best worn in the high summer heat as it really brings out the freshness.

I was bought this as a gift and thought it smelt quite nice. Then a few days later I tried it again and appreciated it a lot more. To me it has a noticeable citrus edge to it and smells so fresh and clean. I'd like to say that every woman who caught a whiff of it fell at my feet and swooned at its/my awesomeness. That's not true of course, but I still recommend it highly!

Bought for one of my sons(in his early 20's) as a gift as I'd smelt it on someone else and fell in love with it. Bit of a risk as he's quite fussy and likes to choose his own aftershave. Absolutely adores it,says his girlfriend doesn't stop sniffing him! Has worn it everyday since I gave it to him at christmas and says he's had lots of positive comments. Love it!
