I bought this pack before my Roopkund trek in June 2017 and walked for about seven days (not counting the to and fro plane, train and bus journey associated with the trek). I got it principally to carry my camera, a long tele lens, a smaller lens, a spare set of clothes and socks, rain wear, down jacket, some food and snacks, medicines and a few this and that like airlines ticket, my small diary etc. I also carried two 1 lit water bottles on the side pockets. My main sack was offloaded to a mule. The weight of this sack when I carried it on the trek was just about 6/7 kgs.First of all, I did not know that 26 litres meant so much space. After all that I described above, I had quite a bit of extra space. The sack has two zippered pockets on the top flap. One external which is bigger and another internal which is smaller. There is an internal compartment for keeping your hydration pack with arrangement for the hose to come out etc. I did not use it during this trek because I do not have a hydration pack. The bag is excellent and served my purpose very well. It is light. Well balanced and sits nicely on the back without any lateral movement. The clips work very well. And of course very roomy.I would love for it to be my trek mate for the next ten years at least. There are a few areas where the bag could have been better and I am writing them down here. However, none of them is a deal breaker for me.1. The bottles on the side aren't accessible to you as you walk unless you take the bag down from your shoulder. I managed it on the trek by asking my friends to take the bottles out for me. But if I was alone I would have to take the bag down, drink water, pull it up again ..... Inconvenient. But if you use a proper hydration pack that issue would be taken care of but then it would compromise for some space inside the pack.2. For easy access to the water bottles, I did not cover the bag with the given rain cover during the hike. I walked in the rain for about 2 hours without the cover (very silly of me) and found that while the bag is reasonably water resistant, it is not water proof. Lucky that the camera and lens etc were wrapped in T-shirts and didn't get wet. The bag dried up in the sun in no time. There was a Garmin GPS unit inside a small Lowepro bag on the top pocket. The Lowepro got completely wet sitting there.3. An extra external pocket outside would have helped to sort out different items during the hike. For example I would have loved to keep my snacks and food in such a pocket.4. The bag being small, the hip belt was going over my belly instead of over my waist (I am 5'10"). But since it was light, I didn't mind. Only when one is breathing really hard on the steep inclines, one had to loosen the belt a bit.On balance it is a nice, utility sack for walking. I am happy with it and would recommend for any friend to get it. If it is within your budget and the size suits you then go for it.

Great size for hiking, very comfortable.Deuter customer service was great at sending a replacement buckle out to me when it uncharacteristically broke.

fits perfectly & really light. Even when full with waterproofs, etc., feels like walking without a rucksack on.

Well made backpack, exactly what I wanted. Can recommend even though a bit pricey.
