For destiny, it depends how much you enjoy repetition for new gear, I don't know how or why but I really liked playing it every few days to do the weekly strikes and daily stories bounties plus the raids. I'm one of the early adopters having played it since launch, and the game has changed a lot since then. I will say the first dlc is generally pointless apart from the raid which is fun and gives a lot of good gear. The 2nd dlc is much better, mainly because of the prison of elders, however, now the taken king is out, its made those weapons from the other dlcs weak and underpowered which is a shame but thats the nature of only online games, constantly changing every few months. The taken king itself changes the whole concept of the game from just using the same best gear months ago, to constantly changing out for new weapons and armour every time you get gear with better stats, so in that sense it does offer value because you're never settling on the same gear for long. I don't need to go over how much content is in this bundle, its everything thats been released so far, for new players its a bargain, but I will say, you should get the complete bundle once a year if thats what they plan on doing going forward.Which brings me back to the first point, what defines value? For those who play call of duty or fifa all year long, those types of players will have the season pass for COD, and will be spending money on those gear unlocks to see what stuff they get, sometimes spending up to £200 a year on 1 game for better stuff. Its the same with FIFA, even more so now they've nullified the coin sellers, making you pay for FIFA points if you want to open gold packs with the intent on getting hopefully better players. For the price we pay for Destiny, for those that love it, it offers great value because theres hundreds of hours of gameplay here for those that enjoy it. I think everyone who is giving it 1 star reviews haven't ever played the game and are just jumping on the hate bandwagon thinking they're being popular, you're not, you're making yourself look like uneducated idiots.Long story short, it offers value for money for the amount of hours you play it for. Do the math on how long you play it for and it equals value, any idiot can see that.

Currently my favourite fps, purely thanks to PVP. I'm going to keep this short and sweet.First, if you're a "solo" player (much like myself), you will never, ever enjoy everything that this game has to offer. That's it, no more discussion. There are simply parts of this game that require you to be a sociable human being or, at least, go to a "looking for group" forum and say something like "noob with no experience requires help completing the incredibly long and complex mission. No mic", then wait forever because who the hell wants someone like that in their group? So, you've accepted the above and I'm still telling you to buy this game. You have plenty to do, don't you worry. The solo parts are fun (although there's not enough of them), but the really cool bits where all the fun happens (for me, at least) are in The Crucible. You spawn and find yourself in an industrial complex by a lake, the late afternoon's sun drenching the scene in a golden hue. You can hear gunfire and explosions that seem to be coming from the other side of the dilapidated building in front of you and set off immediately. As you round the corner, movement above catches your eye and you look up just in time to see a golden suit of armour hanging in the air, angry energy crackling around it until, suddenly, it bursts earthward, disappearing behind large, industrial pipes. A second later you hear the explosion, indicating something totally awesome just happened.Using your jetpacks, you launch yourself up and forward to get a better view and... you're immediately shot down because you're still a noob and don't have any business taking to the sky yet. But you will, oh yes, and it will feel flipping brilliant when you do get those airborne multi-kills, like some kind of demigod raining down righteous judgement from on high.

This is the only version of Destiny you should buy. It is a nice game, but lacks a longer story line (or according to some, story at all). It might also set you off to see that the setting is something between sci-fi and mystical infused with "magic".It really excels at the co-operative missions (the daily and weekly missions) as well as the PvP (player-vs-player) gameplay. If you are not into PvP gaming and won't play those missions, then there is a big chance you'll find this game very repetitive. Also one must put it in at least 20-30 hours of game (finishing the main story line, plus a few co-op missions to get satisfactory gear for PvP).These hours can feel grinding at some time. This "legendary edition" is the the version you should go for as it includes all the DLCs, without them there is a level limit and that also excludes the player from getting gear and weapons useable for PvP game. The base game only has about 30% of the storyline included, so there's not much to do without the DLCs. That is really annoying. The three DLCs included in the legendary edition come as a download code. The disc contains the base game, which will be installed onto the console plus a lot of content must be downloaded online. It can take up anything between 10 and 15 GBs of space and make sure to leave an extra 5GB free for future updates. It checks for updates upon starting and it won't go further if it can't complete the update process. One last advice, you'll need an Xbox Live subscription to actually enjoy anything explained above.

Most obsessions begin incrementally, sucking you in little by little until you’re hopelessly hooked and wonder what you did before you were obsessed. The Taken King is such an obsession, a wonderful slippery slope which will steal your time little by little at first until it consumes you into 8 hour games with complex puzzles, brilliant design and clever bosses which require teamwork, timing and fire-power. Don’t be concerned about the £35 to buy the game, that’s not its real cost. Its real cost is what economists call ‘opportunity cost’; the time and effort you’ll spend in the game world. And what a word that is - graphically stunning, fascinating and varied locations and mission design and the best 1st person gunplay of any game I’ve played.TTK will make you shriek with pleasure, groan with frustration (The Cryptarch!) and break into more cold sweats than an all-night horror fest at your local fleapit. If you’ve an obsessive side, you’re in trouble – real trouble. The main story missions are good (particularly in the TTK), The Strikes are great, The Crucible is excellent but the crowning jewels are the Raids. The Kings Fall Raid in particular is a towering achievement that is the current pinnacle of all video games, it really is that good. The rest of the game acts merely as a boot camp for the Kings Fall, a long brutal training ground for those willing to take the ultimate challenge.Gotta dash now, the Fire Team awaits – we’ve got a raid to run.

My review is purely based on value for money and if you want a content heavy review, please check on of the many other reviews of this game.I just want to say this is an amazing expansion for year 1 adopters. I originally bought Destiny at launch and like many, many players became disenfranchised quickly with the lack of content. I took a 7 month break from the game and came back in June and bought the Dark Below and House of Wolves both of which set me back £35, then I bought the Taken King expansion which was a further £40. In total I spent around £130 on this game and it is selling for less than £40!!!I would say that the 330 hours that I have sunk into playing this game would be the equivalent amount of gameplay I would get from 10 games. In terms of the story there is so much more content in the Taken King and the cut scenes add a dimension that was clearly missing from the original release. I think that because you have this awesome expansion plus the House of Wolves & Dark Below that you are getting a bargain. I would even go so far as to say, if you're an existing Guardian then buy this as it's cheaper than buying the Taken king expansion on PSN. As far as I am aware there are some exclusives with this Legendary Edition and a free shader or some weapons are always a great bonus. I would highly recommend this and look forward to squeezing a few more hundred hours of content from this game!

I felt a little annoyed that to keep on playing with my friends I'd need to update my game; and to do that I'd need to buy the add ons on PSN where they're over priced, or go hunting for the disc version. Luckily I found Taken King Legendary Edition here and it was cheaper than the stores around me.The game includes:Destiny - The Base game, A story with strikes and raids where you can play to level 30The Dark Below - A quest line about the Hive, and their leader Crota. The House of Wolves - A quest line about a Fallen Kell trying to take over all the other Kell houses, and you have to stop him.The Taken King - A quest line where Oryx, the father of Crota, who you previously slew, comes to seek vengeance on Guardians (you)If you like Destiny, The Taken King is just MORE Destiny for you to play.If you've never played Destiny, now is a good time to get Taken King, and play the WHOLE experience without the long wait between content. You'll enjoy it if you like shooters that feel satisfying as opposed to those realistic, bullet drop and wobbly aim games.I only give it a 4 stars because this is what the original game should have been at release, I think the developers intend to spoon feed people their content in add ons like this. So I am worried I might be buying another disc one day. But at the moment I am enjoying this game very much.

Sadly this expansion takes away almost as much as it gives. I really, REALLY dislike the way that bungie has gotten money out of people. The original release was fine, if not lacking in story. To get more story people had to, over time, buy the 2 expansions at potentially a £40 premium. This meant that some people spent over £80 on a game that still didn't satisfy many. That being said, up to the house of wolves the content just got added, making a more full game. That's where it all changed. This being released meant that people who had already spent £80+ will need to spend another £40+ on what was supposed to be the saving grace of the destiny world. Yes,it did add a lot of missing story BUT it also effectively made many aspect of the game up to that point completely irrelevant. One main thing would be the prison of elders (a main selling point for the second expansion) which has now become completely useless.Appologies if this review goes against your understanding or if you're buying into destiny for the first time. This item in summary:New player, excellent purchase and well worth the sub £30 it's now going for.Existing player, makes the game better overall but you won't end up with over £100 worth of game after all you've spent since day 1.

Ok just to say i am a year 1 player and I think destiny is a great game despite it's lack of content and the ridiculous light system. So the taken king comes along after the 2.0 update which I was very impressed by which made everything so much easier and fluid but it did feel like this should have been here from the outset. So I've finished the taken king storyline and a few quest lines and I think it is significantly better then it's predecessors by adding a story that actually exists, with characters that have general development no it's not the last of us in story but it's much better. The levels are better designed even though there is some re-treading it's still great with the new takenenemies that are faster and slightly more intelligent. The new strikes are great and I the team work ethic is much better here with some great boss fights. So all in all the taken king is a step in the right direction and a massive improvement on a solid year 1 game. Cheers bungie even though you have taken lots of my money.

This is very good game for people who are new to Destiny. I wouldn't recommend this to people who have been playing Destiny for a long time or people who own the previous dlc. This is because most items you gain in game become irrelevant. I spent ages getting lengendary and exotic items, to find that nearly all of them are useless now. I think that the Destiny DLC price is astonishingly bad for what you actually get. £20 per dlc is a rip off because you could finish the first 2 dlcs in around 2 hours. For people who already own the destiny game and dlc, you are basically paying for it all again plus 1 extra dlc. I have been playing Destiny for a while and whilst I say that it's good for people who are new to Destiny, previous owners of the vanilla Destiny game will find great enjoyment out of it. If you are new to Destiny or you have never owned any of the dlc before, then this is a great price!

I know there are some who bought the game first time round and are annoyed by this new release. However I've been burned before with a first day release (can't remember the game now), but always now wait a while for a GOTY edition or similar. I'm a few hours into the game, got to level 3 then was boosted to level 25, awesome guns and gear (not sure if making a new character will give the same level up options but I'll try it out). Anyway, for me the game is fun, I'm not a hardcore gamer and have limited time to game, so being able to drop in and out of missions is nice. I've yet to do a PvP or similar crucible match, but overall for me this game is really worth it and will keep me going for a few months. Also, Amazon were awesome with their delivery again. Despatched this morning and through my letter box when I got home. That's just great.

I love the game and am a fan of the changes and improvements made in the TTK. The new raid is well designed and I'm looking forward to the return of the Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris in the coming week.If you're a new player thinking of picking up the game then I'd suggest for you to look around at some of the reviews for The Taken King across the internet. On the whole, The Taken King has favorable reviews and although some content gets left behind when changes are made; in general Bungie has been working to update older content to make it more relevant over time.If you don't like grindy/loot based games however maybe steer clear of Destiny,as the search for better gear and loot is one of the main addicting qualities of the game.

I love it!! A bit delay with review but in purpouse. Destiny is changed and in better way! Personally i think this game had a little shake at the begining and after dark below and house of wolves but it seems like game is heading forward and in the good way! Am having a lot lot of fun playing new raid new strikes and tones tones tones of quests it actually starts to feel like mmo and am so glad of it. Took me about 2 days to get in to it and figure out what is that for the quest interface but after 2-3 days am just flying in there now. I do recomend buying it i think is damnn good worth it...see you in tower guardians !!!

What an excellent piece of DLC, we all know this game is far too highly priced for gamers that have been playing since vanilla destiny and that perhaps activision should have got off bungies back and allowed them to release the vanilla destiny at a later date, with much more content which is what it lacked for quite some time. This game as of now is 10x the game it was last year so if you are new to destiny pick this up and you will not be disappointed, if you have previously gave destiny a try and couldn't get sucked into the game (like I was last year) give it another try once the price goes down coming up to Christmas.

Good fun game although I have not played much of it yet I felt it important to let potential buys of this game know that The Legendary Destiny Taken King Edition redeem code worked for me fine even though my code shows on the enclosed card "Expiry date" as 15/092016.I redeemed the enclosed code using the PSN website on my PC.Make sure you purchased a sealed brand new copy of this game, do not buy a used one as the redemption code will already be activated on the previous owners PSN account and will not work for you.I got min from BLUESHINE Amazon seller, brand new sealed fast delivery.

A fantastic game, stunning visuals and lengthy campaign. Ideally you want to play as a team with your friends although single player is still an option (and more challenging!). The game (if bought new) comes with 2 codes that gives you access to expansion packs and The Taken King. For less than £10 it's a great bargain.Warning: *You will need 10+ GB of storage to play this game. You will spend a lot of time downloading and installing game content.*I highly suggest if you have a slow connection to leave it overnight and to upgrade your hard drive if space is an issue.
