I'm hooked on Dermalogica Clearing Skin Wash. I have always had very oily skin, which sometimes still leads to breakouts as an adult. I've tried all kinds of cleansers across many ranges of facial products (everything from drug stores to high-end to prescription lines), and this one happens to be the best at controlling oil and breakouts for me. I've always been willing to try new products and this one is a keeper because it's the only face wash that does the following for me:- removes excess oil- controls oil production- prevents breakouts and clears existing blemishes- does not over-strip skin or over-dry- does not cause irritation or peeling- smells mild and clean not perfumed- no

I purchased this product from a big name beauty store with little expectation of its efficacy. But to my surprise I was wrong! This cleanser is so mild and gentle but yet powerful enough to clear the terrible adult acne I once had. Before having children (love kids hate what they do to your body) I never had breakouts if ever once a month with my cycle. But AFTER, I have had pimples with two and three monstrous heads and scarring to match. But the Dermalogica Clearing Skin Wash and skin system SAVED me. I have tried ProActiv, Murad, Clearasil, Avon Anew (worked but I guess skin got used to it), Wexler, antibiotic soap, DOVE, on and on and on. Most acne products do not address sensitive skin let alone adult skin.

In my teen years I was plagued by really bad acne. Now that I'm 24, I no longer have actual clinical "acne", which is a relief. However, my skin is still very prone to periodic breakouts, which is why I'm constantly looking for a good skincare line. Yet most of the anti-breakout products I find in CVS are way too harsh for my skin--the levels of salicylic acid are much too high for my skin. If you're a teenager or a woman older than 35, CVS is the perfect place to find good skincare products at great prices. Im so happy I bought this wash again. I have been using this specific wash for over two years. In highschool I used proactive and it worked well until I hit college. Then it didn't do much and my skin had new needs. I would try all sorts of oil free, pore cleansing, medicated, blah blah blah from the beauty isle in my grocery store. Everything left my skin feeling messy, heavy, clogged, dry..etcWhen I hit 22 my lower jaw area began to break out really bad for the first time. It turns out this is a pretty common area for women to break out because of hormones..So I needed something new. My mom let me try some of her dermalogica and for the first time in years, my skin felt light and clean!

Beyond impressed with the efficacy of this face wash. The wash clears the toxins and excess oils like none other and my skin has really improved since using this and I am not acne prone but produce a lot of oils and it leaves my skin reddish and shiny. Now with this wonderful wash this is not the case. HOWEVER, please beware, the efficacy is so off the charts that you need to carefully use this product. This is a clearing wash meaning it will dry out the skin and should be used infrequently if you are not under the care of a dermatologist or skincare professional. After a few weeks of use I developed severely dry eyes and the skin around my eyes. I can't 100% say this is the cause,

If you have severe acne, this wash will not help you much without extra help (read on). I still get some acne when using this, albeit a bit less. It doesn't dry out my skin, which is a huge bonus. I've found the best results are when I washed my face for at least 20-30 seconds, the same way you should wash your hands to remove a good portion of bacteria. It does a decent job at removing light makeup as well.Now, I use this with topic clindamycin from my doctor and I went from have a face full of pimples to 1 lonely pimple. If I use a different wash, I find that I will get a few breakouts, even with the clindamycin. So, I believe this wash works rather nicely in conjunction with the prescription to keep the face demons at bay.So while this isn't a miracle product,

I've never been one to splurge on high-priced beauty items, until a friend of mine gave me a bottle of this for free from her beauty school. I'm never going to buy another facewash again. I've struggled with acne for over 10 years, trying essentially every popular acne facewash under $20. This is the only thing that gave me significant noticeable improvement, and keeps my skin still looking hydrated and smooth. It's expensive, at least for me, but it's totally worth it. I'm currently on accutane for acne, and this is still sensitive enough that I can use it during accutane without it drying out my skin. When my acne clears up because of the medication,

Outstanding product. Firstly, it's cruelty free which is essential to me. Secondly I have seen results in two days! I have battled acne for years, I am on two seperate prescribed medications and receiving periodic courses of microdermabrasion. Nothing was getting to the root of the congestion and I was plagued by a never ending cluster of whiteheads cystic spots. This product is fantastic, it has somehow managed to reduce the whiteheads by 90% in under a week. I am super sensitive and have had no discomfort or irritation. If you have spots that respond to nothing else, give this a try.

I was skeptical about trying this face wash but I absolutely love it! With any new face wash I always expect to break our more for the first week and it didn't happen. I've tried many different brands of face washes over the past 15 years and this will be the only one I buy from now on. The scent is light and nice too. My skin started to feel cleaner and look better within the first few days. I used it morning and night. I also purchased the tinted moisturizer since my favorite brand discontinued theirs and I really like that too.

I love this product. After two weeks of use, there is a noticeable difference in my complexion. Plus, my skin feels clean and hydrated all day, despite wearing make up the whole time. The biggest thing I noticed after switching to this face wash was that I didn't need to run home and wash my face right away because I felt so gross. My face feel much cleaner, and much more refreshed.Note: I have pale, sensitive skin and often have small breakouts, or larger ones about once a month.

Amazing. I'd been using another Dermalogica product (triple enzyme) with not much change to my skin, switched to this, and apart from the odd monthly spot (which goes away much quicker now) I've had clear skin for the last couple of months. I use this with a facial sponge and a pea-sized blob does for each wash so this giant bottle will last for ages, so it's actually great value for money. Friends have commented on my lovely skin too. Hooked.

Best skin wash I've tried I would definitely recommend it. I have acne prone skin and swear by dermalogica products. For me the dermal clay cleanser was a bit drying but this one is very gentle and perfect if you're trying to fight acne because it doesn't aggrevate dry skin when you're using other topical treatments that can make your skin sensitive. It has worked very well for me for over a year now and I will definitely stick with it.

I am 28 and have always struggled with adult acne. Recently I started breaking out really bad and I tried everything that did not require going to a derm. My friend recommended this, told me that her dermatologist highly recommends this brand, I could not be happier! My acne, big bumps, cleared up within a week of using this.A little goes a long way- I will def be re-purchasing and trying some of their other products.

So glad to have found this product on here, usually I pay close to 45 bucks in store! Saved money and it shipped fast!Finding a face wash that helps with my adult acne, has been a struggle. I saw results in 4 days and within 2 weeks have a much clearer face. The only time I truly break out now is when I am not getting enough sleep. Need to get more sleep and continue to use and then see the even better results!

I don't normally leave reviews on products but the instant I used this wash I felt the difference. It's a very light wash but leaves you feeling like a layer of the days germs is wiped clean from your face. I highly recommend this product. I have combination skin and usually only get small white/blackheads but only around the circumference of my face not the T zone. I saw results almost instantly after use
