The white coating on my dish draining rack was splitting apart over a no. of areas of the rack, and because it was constantly covered in water through use as a dish draining rack, it wasn't long before the metal underneath started to rust & show through the areas where the white coating had split.Trying to find a similar replacement was difficult because the plate slots on this rack was along the length of the rack - most racks today have the plate slots along the width of the rack (which is shorter, so the no. of plate holding slots is less), which in turn tells you how the dish draining rack should be placed on the draining board - although such racks just wouldn't work on my draining board. After a fruitless search for a draining rack in the shops (in the same style as the one I had),I finally found the one that was in the same style here on the Amazon website. Same size dimensions with a rather same cutlery holder to match!I ordered this item as soon as I could, and on delivery it was "the exact match" to the original dish draining rack that had been in my kitchen for 13 years. And no wonder, as on closer inspection of the old cutlery box that was with the old dish draining rack, the word "Delfinware" was imprinted - not that I had ever noticed it before! So for all this time, my old dish draining rack was a Delfinware brand make - and now it has been replaced by the same brand make & model again!I suspect this style of dish draining rack is "out of fashion" in the shops, so I am glad that I have found that it is available through Amazon - and at a reasonable price too.My old Delfinware dish draining rack had lasted for +13 years before the white coating started to split, so I can stay with certainty that this new replacement will last just as long, or perhaps even longer! The white plastic coating is what makes the dish draining rack lasts a long time, so for anyone buying a dish draining rack, make sure it is coated rather than sold uncoated as some "chrome plated" dish draining racks are, in the shops. I have come across some reviews online where people complain about these "chrome plated" dish draining racks rusting very quickly on use (ie. on exposure to water) & so needing to be replaced again too quickly. These racks are usually cheap to buy - but like a lot of other people, I would rather pay more for quality that lasts.

I can't actually believe I'm about to leave a glowing review for a dish drainer, but... well, it's superb! The product write-up gives a good overall description, but it fails to fully encapsulate the tremendous features and bonuses this dish drainer has to offer. Look at the picture - do you see those little feet? I have never come across anything with the non-slip abilities that those four tiny feet provide. I accidently caught the dish drainer with my arm when turning too fast and it didn't move at all. I was intrigued - just how much pushing and thumping would those feet endure? Well, several bruised muscles later I cvan tell you that if you want a dish drainer that is easy to push around or knock to the floor then this is NOT the one for you.I think I would have had more luck trying to push a car over. But - and this is the most amazing part - those grippy little wonder feet? If you lift the dish drainer up, it comes away no problem and doesn't leave one SINGLE mark on the draining board. As for capacity - the picture doesn't do it justice. Granted, it may look at though the drainer only hold two plates from the picture, but I can only assume that the photographer was short on plates that day, because I have managed to get eight plates on my drainer, along with numerous bowls and cups. Come on - pretty impressive, eh?I could go on forever, because I truly do believe that this dish drainer deserves to have its praises sung up and down the country, but I will just name one final jewel for its crown. The box it came in.My cats LOVE it.

I spent ages looking for a good sized dish drainer as I like to be able to wash up and stack all of the plates, glasses, cutlery and saucepans in the drainer in one go. I've tried smaller drainers before but with a family and all the washing up that entails it meant I had to do one wash, put the crocks away and then wash up for a second time. This one has plenty of space, I have tested it out with a Sunday roast and besides the roasting tins I managed to get everything stacked onto it.I am really pleased with this drainer; I know that it wasn't the cheapest around by any means but it is well manufactured and sturdy. The white plastic coating seems well fitted, there are no loose bits and nothing that looks like it might get damaged or rust. The four plastic feet mean that you can keep the drainer raised above the sink draining area. This is really important to let the water drain away. Some smaller plastic type drainers end up touching the sink area and staying wet for a long time thus encouraging mouldy growth - uggh.I was pleased that the plastic cutlery tray came supplied with it as it means I can keep my knives and forks away from other items that might scratch them. I haven't had a problem with it falling over as yet.

Perhaps I should have taken more not of its dimensions when ordering, but the drainer is somewhat larger that I expected and literally takes up all available space on the sink drainer section. However, that is OK although something slightly smaller would have sufficed. Quality-wise and bearing in mind that this is not the least expensive option available, being of a plastic coated construction, only time will tell how durable it will prove to be. Past experience of similar products has been that the plastic coating eventually splits and the ingress of water eventually causes the wire frame to rust, that accelerating the separating of the coating from the wire frame, the net result being an unsightly and unhygienic item. All of that said, the drainer is otherwise perfectly satisfactory (although designers could perhaps be somewhat more imaginative over different sizes of slots for varying sizes of pots, frying pans, etc.) and it does what is claimed 'on the box'. For sure, it is a significant improvement on the (far less expensive) plastic thing we used previously which had been so badly designed that nothing but the simplest of plates and saucers could be readily stacked.

It feels a bit daft to review a dish drainer (or washing-up rack, as I'd call it); but on the other hand, I did search for a long time before I found something that I liked. I did the rounds of the usual shops in my area - including some large chains - and looked online as well. A lot of choice, but mostly plasticky, or chromed, or the wrong size. This particular one came closest to one we had for ages and which did us well. Why? It is nice and large, with slightly inclined dividers slightly on one side - for plates and bowls, leaving the other side for cups & smaller stuff. It comes with a plastic cutlery holder with 3 sub-compartments; this is slightly to small and tends to fall over if you don't position it just right, but that takes a day to learn and then it is OK too. It has sturdy feet; it is thickly coated, and if it is (in this respect) like our last one which it so resembles, it will last for a decade. What more can you ask from a drainer? It is not digital, it won't play music or keep the cat happy, but it works - and as the only useful measure of quality is fitness for purpose, this is a quality piece of work. A tad expensive, but very good.

This is an excellent product with a large capacity base and plate racks & stable non-slip feet which don't mark my new stainless steel draining board! I was going to give it 5 stars but for 2 small areas of damage which appear to have been caused before or during packing. The first was to the cutlery drainer basket which had a small portion of the outer rim near the manufacturers name broken off. The missing piece was in the box and it appears the whole assembly may have been a fraction too tall for the box putting undue pressure on it. As it didn't affect the overall performance of the dish drainer I sanded the affected corner and all is fine. The second area was a very small piece (maybe 1/8-inch)of the plastic covering of the wire frame was missing in the base of the drainer, as though It had been overstretched maybe? Anyway, it isn't showing any signs of getting worse & I am so pleased with it otherwise I haven't bothered returning it. A very good large capacity drainer which does exactly what I wanted.

Previously, I had bought some cheap supermarket options that looked ugly after a couple of months of usage. The problem was that they could not keep their shape once my dishes and cutlery were put on them (2 dishes would be enough to weight it down). So, I had to keep on throwing them away and replacing them. The weight of my dishes is not a problem for this drainer. I am really happy with my purchase, and I know that it will last a long time. The cutlery drainer is a also very good size. It has ample space to drain glasses and cups. I can fit 4-5 large tumblers on the flat part of it. Also, the space allocated for each plate is wide enough for them to fit comfortably.I measured my sink top before purchasing to ensure that it would fit. When it arrived it was true to the measurements stated in the description.Tip - buy this option and save on the extra P&P if bought separately.I would definitely recommend this drainer.

I have been looking for a while for a simple drainer which is sturdy and practical. This is the one! It is well made, a lovely pure white which is easy to clean and above all no matter what we put on it, plates, pots, cups etc, they stand where we placed them without tipping over. I don't think there is anything additional l could ask of a drainer.... If the distance between the feet fits on the draining board of your sink, then don't hesitate as you will not regret it! One more positive thing, it sits quite high above our sink's draining board so by just lifting one side it is easy to wipe below it. I just hope when it wears out one day that they will still be making them....The only down side is the slightly flimsy cutlery stand delivered with it which l did not need as l have a nicer/stronger one in white from the 'Swedish Emporium' which stands perfectly on this drainer.

The draining basket is exactly as depicted in the Amazon photo and the dimensions are as specified. Can't get too excited about such a utilitarian item, but it looks good and the white colour fits in well with our worktops and sink.I just hope the plastic coating lasts and we don't get any rust bleeding through due to microscopic flaws or cracking in the coating.Does the job and packs away nicely under the sink after it's done its job.We don't use the small cutlery container much, as cutlery is dealt with by the dishwasher in the main and longer items (eg fish slicer) topple it over. This is the large drainer, which is what we wanted but some people may need to get a smaller one to suit their sink.We use it in combination with a drip tray but, ideally, the drip tray should be larger.

I really like the non slip feet that raise the drainer enough to allow water to drain off. It might be considered a bit 'old fashioned' in design, but it has all the features that you need - plenty of space, strong enough to take lots of pots without distorting and a roomy cutlery holder that is tall enough to cope with a variety of dish washing brushes. The only small drawback is that the cutlery holder needs to be attached to the framework to prevent it falling when it is used - a couple of zip ties sorts that out effectively once you have decided where to position the holder, but some sort of attaching mechanism on the holder would be an added bonus.A good solid piece of equipment that looks as though it will last for many years.

We bought this to replace a plastic one that sagged too close to the draining board to allow the air to get round the dishes for them to dry properly. We are delighted with it.The cutlery drainer can be moved off the main drainer if more room is needed, but the drainer itself is a generous size so we tend to leave it in the corner (as in the photo) which still leaves plenty of room for plates, cups, dishes etc.It is nice and strongly made and sits high enough off the draining board to allow water to drip off the pots and drain underneath and also have a good airflow round so that the pots dry quickly.Although we've only had the drainer for a few weeks,I get the impression that it will last for years.

Damn fine product! Large and sturdy - longevity assured. One of the nicest features is the distance separating the bottom of the drainer from the draining board (2.5 cm) Prevents build up of that horrid black sludge (Yes i did clean the last one but it had to be done frequently) Interestingly, when i disposed of the old cheap plastic drainer it practically fell apart in my hands. No chance with this one - unless you happen to be a real life AMAZON or TARZAN. Yes it is 19" x 143/4" and runs around in four little white rubber wellies. (How do you know what it gets up to when your backs turned?)Seriously! Highly recommended! providing you have a large old fashioned type draining board.David

I have been loathe to replace my old plastic drainer as it worked so well - but this is even better.Being wire not wider plastic pieces like the old old, the water drains away more easily. It is strong, quite heavy so it won't tip, and nice and deep so that when I `play Jack straws' and `build towers' with the pots, as I tend to do, they all stay put without sliding off.The cutlery section moves forward or can be left at the back which gives flexibility, and is nice and tall so it takes the big cooking spoons etc.Really pleased with it - it seems to hold even more than my old one, although only a centimetre larger in one direction - nice and large.

This is a sturdy drainer and a good weight. There is lots of room to stand plates and ideal having a cutlery basket in white to match. The drainer is metal with a white plastic coating which fits in well with our kitchen. The drainer has 4 protective rubber feet so there is no scratches on your fixed sink drainer. Even though it was packaged well a tiny bit of the plastic coating was scratched so i hope it does not rust, but for this price i would just purchase another one anyway. Overall this is one of the best drainers we have had. Going by the measurements of what is stated i thought it may overhang our sink but as you can see it fits perfectly.

I deliberated before buying this product as it was to replace a dish drainer we have had for years that we really liked. But this dish drainer turned out to be even better. It is large and capable of dealing with a large load of post dinner dishes which, in our home, is required as we don't have a dish washer. It is really well made and, importantly for us as we live in a hard water area, very easy to keep clean. Yes, the holder for the cutlery is a bit ad hoc but it still works really well and is neat and doesn't take up too much space within the dish drainer. Would highly recommend but do make sure it will fit in your kitchen as it is large.
