This pan was shipped to me within a week with no problems. I was expecting a paper bag as I've seen the Mineral B line have, but this came as most carbon steel pans come; in a plastic bag. It was in a large box with air bags. The pan itself came in great conditions. There were a few small dings on the top edges of the pan, but I guess that's just part of the manufacturing process. After the first use it was nearly non-stick. Nonetheless I recommend you season it a few more times. The more you use this pan, the better it will work, and the more pleasure it will bring you.Get rid of your teflon pans and get on with the carbon steel.I give this product 4 stars because it would be nice if the handle was about 3cm shorter to make sure it would fit in to all ovens. The other disadvantage it has is that the handle is riveted. I'm no metal worker so I don't know if the handle would be able to lift the pan without the rivets, but it would be marginally easier to clean the pan without rivets.Additionally I have the silicone grip by deBuyer. It's not really necessary for work on the stovetop. Could be good if you take it out of the oven and transfer on to the stovetop. Since this pan doesn't fit my oven, I cannot verify this. I attached a photo of it.The attached photos are of the pan after its first use. I've also attached some to show the marks I mentioned earlier.

I don’t like the size since it doesn’t fit the oven but it’s great for stir fry or things that go up the sides. I always cook with tomatoes so this pan will have to pass the test!I need to re-season since the first attempt took half an hour but just caused a hot spot in the centre from the electric hob but doesn’t go up the sides (probably better on a gas one) and I can’t fit it in the oven to season. The pan does rust on cleaning so takes a little longer than a pre seasoned cast iron one.I still like the pan though. I’m still undecided on which one works best as I’m currently comparing steel and cast but I usually opt for the cast for speed since I have to spend more time cleaning this one,it doesn’t come up as nice as the cast. I always finish with a beeswax coating made for pans. Will persevere but finding time to season it correctly is going to be tough since I feed my family every day ?

Fed up with having to replace non-stick pans every couple of years, and since I already owned a carbon steel wok, I bit the bullet and bought two de Buyer frying pans (32cm and 22cm). They're fantastic. They cook much better (hotter) and once seasoned they are less sticky than any non-stick pan that I have owned. Easy to clean too - just use very hot water (no detergent) and a cloth. They are heavy and the handles do get warm (but not too hot), but neither of those is a deal breaker. Best pans ever, I love them.

Excellent pan. I have only used it a few times so far, but I'm very pleased with the crust it gives both salmon and potatoes. One thing I'm unsure of is the little handle, which seems to be welded on unprofessionally and is quite different to the rest of the pan. It's seems like low-quality metal, and the scorch marks where it was welded are unsightly. Though useful for such a heavy pan, it makes me think this is a knock-off and not an original.Still, overall I'm very pleased with this product so far.

Purchased the 32 cm diameter pan from Amazon two years ago, very pleased with it, still as good as new. Just one very minor drawback for me is that it is too long to fit inside my oven. Have just ordered a 28 cm pan which is shorter, so will now be able to sear my steaks on the hob and then place the frying pan into the oven to complete the cooking.Several other reviews have stated a preference for the 32cm version, worth checking which will fit into your oven before making a purchase.

This pan is really great, seasoned mine with lard rather than oil and have found it to be non-stick from the start. It is very heavy and require a little extra care after use, I give mine a light wash with a green scourer, dry with a tea towel then put back on the heat with a small knob of lard, when the lard has melted and the pan comes up to heat I then wipe it clean with a paper towel, I then run the paper towel over the outside of the pan I then leave it to cool before storing!

Was a bit scared to start using these pans, bought the 24cm also which is perfect for the fried egg or a couple of steaks. I am no pro and the thought of seasoning did worry me. From the first use after the seasoning bit the food didn't stick much at all. Cooked a fried egg and pancakes with no problems.

Love it! Very well made, will last longer than me. Once seasoned, it's beautifully non stick. Fried eggs slide off so easily I struggle to get my spatula underneath them! It's heavy, though. And the handle on the other side is pretty essential.

Not as heavy as cast iron, but just as tough. Will take a high heat without warping or producing fumes and will, eventually, become fairly non-stick if you follow the instructions. Perfect steak pan.

I'd recommend you watch one of the several videos, tutorial on how to season the pan before using it and how to keep it. I've used it for a week and it's like cooking in a restaurant kitchen.

Been using this pan yesterday for 5h non stop, cooking over 40 burgers on it for a specially event, it isn't even slightly bent after such intensive use, what else should I say???

Great looking and robust pan. It has become virtually non-stick already after just a few uses. The large frying pan has a small second handle on the rim.

Very heavy and basically indestructible.Does need quite a few sessions to form its own coating, but you will never go back to teflon after using this.
