well I received my copy of Dance Central and from the moment I put it in I was EXCITED!! first and foremost if your quite a lazy person, you prefer games where you can play half heartedly and or cheat... LIKE MYSELF!! then you need to snap out of that ASAP! you'll need full energy, concentraition & patience to really get the most out of this game, as some of the moves are quite complex. So back to Dance Central - It is very important you set up your Kinect Camera in the correct place to allow you as much room and also to be the most responsive, once you have done this you're ready to play. The dance central game can be high impact or just a warm up but it definetely gets my heart pumpin and me moving every part of my body tryin to master the moves "Sports bras at the ready ladies".I thought i'd be a pro and went straight to HARD! and came running back to Easy with my tail between my legs...lol; That being said though I love it... and being the impatient type, I get fed up easily with getting the moves wrong, then I simply, take a break and come back and the fun starts all over again.I think the game was very well thought out, there are various options that help make it easier to learn the dance moves such as Break it down, the mode where you complete short sections of the song, you can also Slow it down, in this mode to really understand the move, or if you feel like you're ready to jump straight in you can. As you play more, additional Difficutly levels, Venues, Outfits and settings become available, and the Music choices and graphic are really engaging.I give this game 5/5 and the XBOX KINECT a 5/5.Im the owner of a Wii, Wii Fit Board & Band hero on the WII, and aside from the Band Hero which is literally TONNES of fun the WII does not even COME CLOSE!! to the KINECT - JUST DANCE in comparison on the WII in my oppinion seems like an imitation mared with limitations.I was so amazed when I realised how the Kinect worked and how responsive it is, No Wands, No Control Pad just "ME"And i hope you found this helpful ;o)

I bought this when I got my xbox+kinect as part of a bundle.I'd been using the Wii and Just Dance/ The Michael Jackson experience so had some experience with dance games, plus I do a few regular dance classes so not a complete newbie to dancing.Dance central is a SUPERB game. It completely blows the wii games out of the water. The MJ experience on the Wii is a good game but the Kinect brings these games to another level. Dance central uses the Kinect technology very, very well. It tracks movement very accurately and it all works in a very slick way.The in game dance "tutors" are well animated, and the backgrounds and the way the game responds to how you move is very good - it really is like having your own personal dance tutor. The Kinect can tell exactly what you're doing with your body and it really works very well. If you're not moving your legs correctly it'll show you with a red highlight around the area's that aren't going right. It's easy to get points on the easier songs/levels but still a very good challenge to master the more complicated routines. The practise mode is superb and really helps you learn your moves. The only thing is that the two player mode still only allows one of you at a time to play but taking it in turns. For me this isn't too much of a problem though as limited space makes two players at the same time quite difficult to do anyway.I LOVE this game so much and am very impressed as it's an early game on the Kinect technology. Definitely a good dance game to chose .I just can't WAIT until the Michael Jackson game comes out on kinect... just hope it's implemented as well as Dance Central which surely must be the benchmark for this type of game now.

Produced by the creators of other great games including Rock Band, Dance Central is an obvious Kinect title that only excludes those unwilling to get up and try to bust a move. Combining a great setlist covering 4 decades, from disco classics such Brick House through to up to date hits from Lady Gaga and more Dance Central allows novices to jump straight in while providing enough challenge to keep you coming back and to trouble the most able of dancers. Not an accomplished dancer myself, Dance Central has eased me into the game with "Break it Down" mode allowing you to learn the individual moves for the dances before stringing them together to create dances for some of the hit tracks rated from Simple all the way to "Off the Hook".A warning that as the game uses full body tracking as part of the Kinect experience an evenly lit room is preferred (though you can play in the dark) and the game itself is often quite active so a willingness to throw yourself around is required!Overall, something I would recommend as good, honest fun for almost anyone.

This game is just amazing! why is it so good? because it shows you a variety of moves from dance music to hip hop, dance hall and many more, i enjoy dancing a lot and sometimes found myself thinking how did that person do that move? or what type of moves would go with this type of music? so when i first played this game all i could think of was i want to see the next song and the next. now i don't have to try to check on you tube to try to find out how to do a certain move, if you try to mimic exactly what the dancer is doing you are sure to look like you at least know what you are doing. i can not get enough of it, only thing is don't over do it i did and woke up the next day with aching muscles.well i did 6 1/2 hours so maybe that was a bit much. only bad thing is that is more of a one player game! but nothing is perfect and if it is we would wanted to be something else.

I traded in my Wii, all my gmes and wii fit to get the Kinnect, luckily already had xbox 360. I was a little dubious to be honest but was pursuaded by my husband. I was not disapointed. I got dance central as I have done quite alot of various dance classes in the past, basically I love to dance.I cannot fault this game. It gives you many different difficulty levels of dances then goes into easy, medium and hard within them, so even if you are a total beginner to dancing or more of a pro there will be something in there for you. I could not believe how much of a sweat I worked up and was on it for hours without noticing the time passing.I have only just scratched the surface of this game so far but am so excited about going through it and unlocking the challenges, would recommend this to anyone that loves to dance, wants a fun workout or just out for a laugh.

Bought this game to be delivered at the same time as my pre-ordered Xbox Kinect and I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun Dance Central is! Its very entertaining and with so much to do I can't imagine anyone getting bored with this anytime soon. This is real dance game experience that is fun, social and for absolutely everyone! Whether you've been dancing your entire life or this is your first time hitting the floor, this game will have you dancing like a pro in no time. As you go through the songs and master your dance moves, you earn Achievements, unlock new character outfits and venues, and progress through the dance ranks.Another awesome feature is it tracks the calories you burn so you can turn some dancing fun into your daily workout routine! Brilliant and highly recommended!

I have played this game with family and friends, from 4 to 67 year old, male and female alike. I also like to play this game on my own to keep fit, there is a mode that tells you how many calories that you have burned in your session, I am always trying to keep the high score from my husband! There are allot of skill levels and tunes (old and new) to chose from, you can also buy new tunes with routines on the xbox with new titles appearing all the time. The easy is easy enough for everyone to have fun but if you fancy a challenge then hard is for you. You can have fun with the 'dance off' as well, I like to challenge my husband, it's always good to see him try and grab some air whilst shaking his hips,I have never laughed so much!Get this, you won't regret it...

I got the Kinect today, the adventures game came with it- but the game I was desperate to get to grips with was dance central-well what can I say but amazing! Its so easy to pick up, with the breakdown section, plenty of tracks and really quite hard work!I bought this to help me get in shape indoors instead of the usual fitness DVDS, this includes a workout aswell as the game play-getting fit without realising it! I had to stop several times to get a gulp of water but 2 hours later I was still playing!Im looking forward to the realms the kinect will open up-and I can see that my bank balance will take a serious bashing for the games that will follow-plus my dog maybe the one gaining weightinstead of me!If you have the kinect the must buy is dance central!

I've been banned from playing this by the missus. Not just because I probably look utterly ridiculous trying to throw shapes to Lady Gaga, but because it makes our floorboards creak terribly. If you've got plenty of room at home, and you live on the ground floor, Dance Central shows just how talented MTV Harmonix are, and how they've practically reinvented the dance genre with Dance Central.Plenty of content to keep you satisfied as a new Kinect owner, and the tech works astonishingly well.Only drawback is the DLC costs a bit much and it's usually stuff you wouldn't want to dance to anyway.Great game.If you're picking up Kinect this christmas this should definitely be top of your shopping list for a bit of Christmas Day family humiliation.

Since buying Zumba on my Kinect I was after a more dancing inspired game. Like you looked up reviews and such to see how good Dance Central was and I can definitely say it's a great buy.I use it as a more of a fun thing to do and a bit of a work out..However I can see how easily you could use it at parties with friends or at xmas's with the whole family. Unlike Zumba it's fantastically in tune with your movements and I find it really easy to follow, also love the fact that you get 3 chances to really perfect moves so it definitely goes at your pace. For anyone who used to love the old dance mats this is a great more modern follow up!Cant wait till number 2 is out! :D

I received this game on the same day as Kinect, along with two other launch titles. I can safely say that this is definately the best one and has spent the most time in my console. The tracks are a great mix of current and classic hits. I had a feeling that the moves themselves would be quite dated, but they are genuinely fitting! They match the tracks perfectly and are certainly good enough to recreate on the dancefloor of your local nightclub. My only hope now is that the DLC for this game isn't too expensive as I can see this being my favourite game for a long time to come...so long as I can make it past medium difficulty that is!

This was the first game I bought for the Kinect and I am so glad I did!!! I hate to compare like everyone is with the Wii but I own just dance 1 & 2, and when 2 came out I was amazed but the xbox just completely blew my mind, tracks every movement I have purposely done things wrong to see how reactive it was and it went red where I had gone wrong and made me re-do the move. This is actually really good at burning calories too, I can play this non-stop for about an hour and not even realise im exercising then by the end I'm sweating like I'd gone for a run. This is a really good game and I would recommend it. 5 Stars!

Dance Central is a lot of fun. I bought it for my other half who studies dance at University and she loves it. It is very accurate, gets you moving, and is a great work out. As a 21 year old male with literally no dancing bone in my body I find it very unforgiving but very rewarding. Even on easy a inexperienced dancer has to work very hard to get a 5 star rating, and I imagine with enough practise it could make even the least rythmic dancer at least a half decent one.It is a great party game, and is by far the best Kinect game I have purchased so far. The only downside is the DLC is really overpriced.

my partner thought kinnect was another gimmick, untill she played this game and now the wii balance board is gathering dust. its a fun and simple workout on the easy level, about all i can manage (white men cant dance)and is challenging for my 6 year old daughter but when you move onto the harder levels it can actually teach you how dance.my ten year old had no rhythum and just kinda wobbeld on the spot before getting this now she puts the moves together and looks quite good as for my partner i only seen her play once but while im at work she is brocking out in livingroom and getting me achievments lol
