This is a great bag! It has TONS of room. I bought it for a flight out to CO. I'm not sure if it could be used as a carry-on, I think the dimensions are close. However, airlines let you check your board/ski bag with one boot bag and it counts as one checked bag.This bag has two compartments - one large, tarp-lined and vented bottom boot compartment, and one bigger top compartment (also tarp-lined) for everything else (helmet, pants, jacket, etc.)My only complaint, and the only reason it got 4 stars, is that there are absolutely no other pockets in this bag. Just two main compartments. I'd love a place to store keys, wax, tools, and other small items. Even if there were just some mesh bungee pockets on the inside somewhere.

I shopped around quite a bit, reading reviews and product descriptions to try and find a bag that would hold my boot size (Mens 13) as well as some extra gear. A majority of the bags I found were quite a bit smaller than this one and would only fit up to around10-12 boot size. This bag absolutely nailed it, and in classic Dakine fashion, is very well built. Boot compartment on the bottom fits my boots w/ room to spare. Large upper compartment can easily hold anything I wouldn't want to wear on the drive up, including my ski jacket if I wanted (wouldn't be much room for anything else, but that gives you an idea on the size). Shoulder strap included, lower boot compartment is lined to keep water from seeping out.

This is by far one of the best snowboard boot/gear bag I have ever owned. It’s light weight, durable rugged canvas outside and the inside is lined with waterproof tarp. I can hold all my gear on the top portion (helmet,goggles,gloves,pants,jacket and a set of extra clothes to change I to afterwards. The bottom section holds my size 10.5 men’s boots with room to spare. The carrying straps is also durable and easy to carry by hand or over the shoulder. This will definitely last a long time and super stoked about how fair the price was for it. I highly recommend it! -J from Colorado

There are a lot of these bags on the market and I cannot compare and contrast them, but I bought this bag and couldn't be happier with it. It is just the right size to fit all ski/snowboard gear (helmet, gloves, goggles X2, pants, jacket, etc) with a separate compartment below large enough for ski or snowboard boots. This is the first season I've owned it, but it appears well constructed. Having all my gear together in one easy grab and go bag provides peace of mind and pretty much eliminates any preparation stress prior to a beautiful day on the slopes.

Great bag. So convenient. Filled it to the brim with boots, helmet, goggles (2 pair), gloves (two pair), puffy ski pants, ski underwear, and regular underwear (more than you wanted to know) and shipped it to Jackson Hole in a box to avoid checking on the plane. It's too big for overheads, but certainly able to be checked. The only piece of ski equipment I couldn't fit in was my jacket. I probably could have, but I didn't want to strain the bag's limits. This bag looks good, works good and, from me, comes highly recommended.

I really like this bag. It is big enough to store my ski jacket, pants, helmet and gloves in the top compartment; the bottom compartment stores the ski boots. Very durable material. Held up well during travel as a check-in bag.Note: Southwest Airlines counts your ski and separate boot bag as one check-in bag, which allows you to check-in total 3 bags. However, your boot bag can only have boots and nothing else. I had to remove the items in the top compartment in order for the bag to be considered a "boot bag".

Much bigger than i thought, I was able to hold my snowboard boots (women's 9) with plenty of room in the boot section for larger sizes. I was suprised to find that I was able to fit two large snowboarding pants and two large snowboarding jackets without issue. I could've fit a lot more if I tried. The fact that both compartments have the waterproof lining, is great for wet days! Awesome purchase, super satisfied, highly recommended.Also, it's made from recycled water bottles!

This bag was lightweight and actually much bigger than I originally thought. I was able to pack my ski boots in the bottom compartment plus enough clothes and toiletries items for a 4 day ski trip to Winter Park in the upper compartment. This was a huge bonus as I was trying to keep my number of checked bags while flying to a minimum. The shoulder strap is convenient, though can be a little sharp if its not facing the right direction. The fabric was easy to clean and durable

We were concerned when it first came, but the bottom perfectly fit my fiance's size 9.5 ski boots and looked like my size 11 boots would fit as well (though not at the same time). The top easily fit her helmet, gloves, and goggles. It is easy to load, carry, and is very attractive. Cannot speak as to its longevity yet.

AWESOME! Exactly what I needed. Boots fit nicely in the bottom. Helmet, goggle in a hardshell case, gloves, hat, face mask and snowboard pants fit in the top. Great for transporting to the mountain; keeps gloves together, goggles from getting crushed, and not forgetting anything. Great storage in the off season.

Excellent travel bag. Helmet, goggles and 3 days of clothes fits in the top no problem. Boots and lounge footwear fit in the bottom. It's very durable and rugged. The only negative is the carry method. If you don't have a wheeled ski bag you're shouldering everything which is a bit of a hassle.

We own three of these and added this forth so everyone in the family has one. These are great bags. Durable and roomy enough for cold weather ski gear. We've checked these through multiple airlines and they have all survived without damaging the contents. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Excellent boot bag! Purchased this as a boot bag and was pleasantly surprised by how much room this bag actually has inside. Was able to fit boots in the bottom compartment plus helmet gloves and other gear in addition to all the clothes I needed for a five day trip to the slopes!

Fantastic bag! Could use a couple of small inside zippered pockets on the inside along the walls to hold various items but still a great design. Handles and strap seem to be well made. Fits my snowboard boots well with some room to spare. Nice job Dakine!

Perfect size for all my ski gear. Great construction and very durable. I would have given it 5 stars, but it could really use a small pocket in the upper section or on the outside for the storage of small items like my season pass, socks or light gloves.
