I've been having leg power problems when getting back in to swimming freestyle (poor technique and lack of fitness) and so started using swim fins provided at my gym along with a kick-board. However, the borrowed fins were old and way too tight. But I can already feel the difference after only a couple a visits a week over the past few weeks. So I decided to invest in a pair of my own in the right size.I ordered these Cressi Light Swim Fins on Thursday in the early afternoon. They arrived by courier on Friday just after lunch thanks to a free Amazon Prime trial - amazing service!I am now one very happy customer with a pair of properly fitting swim fins which look really cool.I can't wait to try them out in the pool tomorrow!*** UPDATE ***Having now used these fins twice, I can honestly say that they are fantastic! My legs really ache after several lengths as they are giving my muscles a real work out. Really fast in the pool, but extremely comfortable with no chaffing. The inside of the shoe is a smooth, soft rubber which is very flexible, making them really easy to put on and take off. Highly recommended!*** FURTHER UPDATE *** Now Feb 2014.Size can be an issue!During mid-2013, I noticed that the grey rubber at the corner of the toe hole on one of my fins had started to split! Right up from the corner of the soft top-of-foot grey rubber at the toe hole. After a couple more months of use, this has spread to two splits on each fin at the same place (one on each side). The fins still work fine, but I have un-sightly tears in my fins and a loose flap of rubber flapping about on top of each foot. Because of this, the remaining rubber of the upright part of the foot molding, attached to the blade of the fin, rubs against my toes and causes annoyance, discomfort and distraction while swimming. I believe this is probably because of the sizing, as I have one foot half a UK size larger than the other and I really need a 44-45 Euro size to compensate. Also, the fins seem to be designed to be universal and are not marked for left or right, so its easy to get them mixed up - hence the damage to both fins. So please be aware of this.Having said all that, I have used the fins quite a lot - probably an average of 3 times a week for around 45 minutes per session with quite hard freestyle leg kick. I can't fault them for comfort, effectiveness, looks or value for money. Everyone asks about them, the first time they see them and I've probably sold quite a few pairs for Cressi! :)NB: My wife also has a pair of these fins in white, and she loves them. She has been using hers for over a year, now, for an average of five sessions a week with no problems. She doesn't even use the supplied foot shapers which come with the fins, so perhaps hers fit better than mine do.I'll be investing in another pair of these fins very soon, as they appear (to me) to be the best on the market.

I purchased these fins for travel snorkeling based on the amazon reviews. For the most part I am satisfied with the fins in the water, although I would say they are a bit to stiff. I was hoping that with some wear they would loosed up, but this has not been the case.Sizing on the other hand leave much to be desired. I typically wear a men's size 9.5-10.0 shoe and purchased the 8.5-9.5 fins. Upon purchase, I noticed the fins are labeled 43-44 (European), which I have found typically translates to a 9.5 to 10 or sometimes a 10 to 11 shoe size in the U.S. Still the length of the fins are not altogether that far off. the width however is considerably looser than desired - I would expect they fit an individual with wide(er)feet. I tend to wear standard width shoes with a bias towards narrower fits. The loose fit causes me to experience foot cramping very quickly in open water. I bought a pair of 3mm fin socks and paired the two together. With the socks, the fins really seemed to hit a groove. They were much more comfortable and did not cause any cramping (90+ minutes of continuous use in open water). Conclusion: fit seems to be the biggest issue with these fins. If you can find a good size for you, they can be great travel fins. I would just prefer a bit more flex in the fin blade.

I’m a Uk size 5.5-6. These fit perfectly, I felt an immediate difference when I put them on. Unfortunately, the pool 8 swim in doesn’t allow them, it is worth checking that out beforehand if you want to use them in the pool.I’ll still be keeping them, for holidays. They are light compared to other fins and a comfortable fit. Walking around in them is difficult.Recommend.So this is an update several weeks after I bought them. I use them for every swimming session (i changed pools) and they are awesome. They are light and are not big. I use them to build strength in my lower back and legs. I had a car accident in which I sustained a lot of back and lower limb damage which left me with atrophy and weakness,Ive seen a significant difference in my swimming speed. I think it's important to let you know I always warm up, so do 4 laps in my pool before putting them on. Some fins can cause cramps - I've not had this issue with doing a warmup.Hope this review helps. Merry Christmas everyone.

I bought these fins for my daughter who has just started club swimming. Being 8 years old and not having the largest of feet, I was having difficulty finding fins small enough.I bought the size 1/2 UK as my daughter has size 1 feet. As I had expected, these are on the large side and sometimes slip off the feet when swimming. However, at my daughter's stage of training, fins are not used that frequently and I am also aware that her feet are growing. Therefore I feel the odd slip off versus buying a small pair that may only last a couple of months, was a trade off worth making. These are very good quality fins, used by some swimmers in the club Yet they are not the most common, which makes them easier for a child to identity their own pair. They seem to perform well in the water, and other swimmers have substantiated this.I was very pleased with the purchase and this is certainly a brand I would return to.

We bought this for a snorkeling trip in Thailand and Indonesia. I know the title says Pool fins, but the photos show snorkeling activity, so we decided to get a pair because they are the lightest available on Amazon anyway.Pluses:- They are comfortable to wear. The soft rubber fits well, and even on a long day of snorkeling, they don't hurt whatsoever- As mentioned, they are light, so perfect for travelingMinus:- Well, these are truly more for pool exercise. They work ok on a super calm water, but with any current whatsoever, I ended up having to kick frantically to have any chance of beating the current. In fact, they were only slightly better than not wearing any fins at all. For comparison,we have another pair of short fins by US Diver that work much much better. To be fair, the US Diver fins are slightly heavier and not as comfortable on the feet.

Cressi Light Short Swimming Fins in blue, They arrived fine but there is to much plastic with a plastic insert to keep the foot form of the fine as well as a plastic bag labelled Cressi both could be replaced with cardboard to the help reduce plastic on the environment and save the planet as these items will never be used again!! ??Ok to the review of the product unfortunately I have not been to use the fins in the open water, however they fit very well I'm a size 11 ordered 10-11 and they fit nice and snug, the size of the fins is a nice size not to big just perfect for swimming front crawl, colour of blue and black is very nice?? !! These are a great buy for me. I tried to look for some fins that would be good for the price and also the plus side as other mentions is that its made out of one piece of plastic (no pieces attached to eachother that can irrititate skin or whatever) so they are very comfortable to wear. I did order size 10-11 and im 46 in euro size and they tend to fall off me if I make a strong movement jump into the water so take that in consideration that for that size they are actually comfortable but abit loose though. And they are so effective becoz they dont give u too much help as many other big fins out theere but they give u just enough to train ur muscle. Its also a good idea to warm up before jumpingright into the action trust me :)

The fit is great and the comfort is just fine. There was no surprise with this purchase and I took them with me on a cruise to snorkel in.The ONLY thing to be aware of with these fins is that they are SHORTER than most flippers. They're better than no flippers but they're not as good as those big long floppy ones as far as power goes. So it really depends on what your intended usage will be if you get these or a pair with longer blades.I preferred the size for packing for a trip since they didn't take a ton of room in my suitcase, but when I was out in the ocean I got a little tired quicker than I expected because of the lack of power due to the length. They weren't as difficult to walk in since they weren't so long though.

We took these flippers with us when we went to Egypt to try them out. They are brilliant little flippers - I have wide feet, they are really comfortable, easy to put on and take off and stay on your feet when swimming. I am not the best swimmer - these make swimming so much easier. I wouldn't choose full size flippers as I have seen them to be very cumbersome and have not only been hit by other peoples flippers but watched people break the reefs when wearing large flippers. These are just the perfect size. Since our first holiday with them, they are now always packed. I love to go snorkelling and these are the perfect accompaniment to a snorkel and mask.

Brought these mainly for the pool. I am size 8 and went for the 7/8 (41/42) size - and they fit perfectly. They are painful only on my THIGHS - which means as a training aid they are doing what they are suppose to.As a training aid, when I then take them off and use my own strength, I have found they have really improved my previous lazy kicking. The only slight negative is that they are negative buoyancy (they sink) - in the pool this won't be a problem, in the sea...well just hope I don't drop them - but not going to knock a star off just for that as these are training fins, not pucker diving fins.

Got those for my wife and myself for snorkelling in Sharm El Sheikh on coral reefs and they're great! You got enough speed but what's more important - very good maneuverability as they are short and it's easy to turn quickly when you need to. And obviously being Cressi-quality guaranteed. Long fins are having their advantages when you go diving(we have those as well) but for snorkelling these are just perfect. Another little thing - you can walk in them(kind of:-))-very handy option when you need to get out of water quickly. Definitely keeping those together with our other Cressi gear. Love them!!!

4.10.2016

Perfect for snorkelling.Obviously not as powerful as full sized fins, but are a great compromise when you have limited space and are all you need for some lazy snorkelling. You can get decent speed if you put a bit of effort in, and in my opinion they're just as good as the sub-standard fins that most tend to pick up on holiday.Obviously these don't compare to proper full sized diving or snorkelling fins, but I don't know why you would compare them.I had these on in my trip to the med, and they fit in my carry-on perfectly. All I needed, and fit as expected.

Good fit...does the job!Not sure what else to say...these seem to be a pretty good swim fin.I must admit, I chuckled (to myself) when I read the review about them being quite slippery on the pool floor as I did not understand why anyone would arremoyro walk while wearing fins. That said, the reviewer is absolutely right; when standing in the shallow end (honest rest) you do notice that they slip. Thai is not a showstopper, just something to be aware of. After all, fins are for swimming! They do the job they were designed to do.

30.12.2018

Really great fins, super quick in the water, easy to concentrate on arm technique with few kicks to keep you going. Small enough to fit in a bag and would be great as snorkelling fins. As training fins (for freediving) they let you concentrate on technique and really let your legs build in the right places. Cressi have made another great product.Be aware of the sizing in the title however because it is a little confusing. I thought I was getting 6.5-7.5 when it is actually 7-8! Still five stars because they are great.

25.11.2015

Perfect fit. I'm a size 6 so ordered a size 5.5-6.5 (39/40) The rubber shoe part would allow for a larger foot (6.5 UK) as it can stretch. I think a smaller foot (5.5 UK) would struggle to keep the fin on when swimming at a fast pace, so advisable to buy a smaller size.Have used in the pool for a training session and they felt secure on my feet even when swimming hard.Fins are flexible and not rigid so fits in my swim bag.Comes in a clear plastic bag which will need to be replaced with a proper fin bag eventfully.
