Recently qualified as a scuba diver and decided to opt for the Leonardo after much research and fellow reviewers comments. I'm thankful I did! The computer itself is brilliant. Out the box it feels really well made, has a nice big strap for going over the drysuit and a large screen to display information with a protective casing over the screen itself for durability. The strap looks like it can also be removed and the puck integrated into your regulators which is a nice bonus. After trialling it at the weekend for the first time, it didn't disappoint in terms of functionality and ease of use. Before jumping in the water it allows you to plan your dive via the Plan screen which lets you set your intended depth and gives you information on required decompression stops depending on input.Air settings can be changed to allow support for various nitrox blends up to 51% in 1% increments which is also pretty handy. In the water, the screen automatically changes and provides information on your dive such as duration, max depth, current depth, next decompression stop and ascent speed with audible prompts for the more critical safety factors.I've not linked any of my dives as yet via the PC Link as I am yet to purchase the docking station (my only gripe!) so can't comment. Will update the review when the time comes!Edit: Purchased the PC Link and uploaded a total of 15 dives. The PC application interface could do with being updated, looks like something from the mid 00's. Information provided is great however, including tissue saturation.Since upgraded to a Suunto Eon Core as the screen wasn't great for those dark loch/night dives, but still have this as the trusty back up!

I having been diving for around 20 years, initially as a BSAC Sports Diver, and then gaining the PADI Advanced Diver. These days I tend to dive around 10 times a year, predominantly overseas on holiday, or British waters in the summer.I needed a simple inexpensive dive computer. I didn't require syncing with my PC, as I can easily add the dive details. All I wanted was something that told me how deep I was, what my none stop dive time was (and how long I have left), warn me to do a safety stop, give the water temperature and keep an eye on surface interval (and allow me to plan my next dive). Everything else was a bonus. This computer does all of this, and more (mixed gas). Also, the screen is clear and easy to read. At 33m in dull conditions with maybe 5m vis, the screen was clear and did not need the backlight. The PC link is an (expensive) extra, but for 10 dives a year I can add the details to my dive log manually. It has a long strap so if you're got narrow wrists and dive with a shortie you may want to trim the strap! For me, with a 5mm wetsuit this was not an issue. The single button is easy to use, however, I don't really need to use it! Put on computer. Do dive. Look at screen during dive. Listen to beeps if it needs to tell you something. Look at screen after dive and write up log. None of this requires you to press a button. The depth, non stop dive time, dive timer, temp gauge etc etc, all show the same results as the dive master on my last dive, and his computer cost 3x as much. At the end of the day, why pay more, unless you NEED the functionality, which I don't.So, for me, it gives me everything I need at a price I can afford.

As a rescue diver I have to say I love it. It's a very nice computer - for beginners as well as advanced divers. The main things I always check are: depth in meters, temperature and safety stop guidance (being 5m below surface and stay there is still tricky even if you are advanced)-which it provides at a glance and with sound signals. Even an experienced diver can get hitched in some drift currents and the warning beep with ascending or descending too quickly is always really appreciated by myself and buddies. And tbh that's all I really need. Have logged around 45 dives on in and was very pleased so I bought it for my father & husband as well. Easy to use with Nitrox too.I'm a passionate and frequent diver (had it nearly 1 year, 45dives logged) it gives me the information that I need and understand. I guess everything else would be an overkill. But there are so many settings (and even the port you have to buy separately - it looks like a interface from 1999 but still works) which you can get into but might not necessarily need. The other choice of dive computers I looked at started at GBP1000 so I rather invested that money in my Scubapro equipment and dive very happily with this one instead of knowing my heartrate or underwater blood pressure or Cholesterol :) And it looks pretty ace too. I recommend and love it!

I'm an experienced open ocean diver off the coast of Georgia but not a technical diver. I dive wrecks and reefs while spearfishing between 55 and 90 feet on most dives. I had an Oceanic Veo 180 act up on me and decided time for a new computer. I dive air and nitrox and the Leonardo handles both calculations. I wanted something simple to use and not loaded with tons of bells and whistles that I couldn't figure out how to use and really didn't have a need for. Three dives today with the computer and it worked better than I had hoped. Easy to read, easy to program and easy to use. I used the dive planner on the second and third dives and it was great to have.It does have a safety stop timer which activates somewhere around 20 feet on the ascent. I did notice the maximum allowed ascent rate was a bit slower than my Veo 180. This computer is probably best for people who want to just go diving - safely. Can recommend.

Works as expected, but there is a learning curve to fully understand and appreciate the intricacies of this computer. There are on-line instruction classes but you must pay a fee to view them. The light is not super bright but can bee seen when in a very dark environment. There is no paper instruction manual with the kit but it does include a CD so you can print a manual if you like. I have used the computer on a couple dives to 80 feet and the depth and time were captured in the history as expected, but I am not sure how to clear the history from the computer... The computer offers a 3 minute safety stop function at 15 feet but I am not sure if it is automatic, or must be scrolled to in order to actuate the function.Again, there is a learning curve to recognize and understand the displays. The strap is very long for fitting over a heavy wetsuit. I got mine on a blowout deal and saved a hundred bucks!

I've only taken it on two dives (100ft and Nitrox) so far but I like it a lot. My only regret is not purchasing the deal that came with the computer hookup ( the log review on the watch screen doesn't display the lowest temperature that it reached on the dive). The light isn't very bright but it's not necessary in the day time and at night it seems like it will be bright enough. The band is HUGE but has holes all the way down it so it fits on my very small wrist. There is a lot of hanging band though. I actually mount it on my forearm instead of wrist because I like to keep my compass down where the watch would go so the length of the band works well.I am very pleased with the 1 button design and am glad I didn't opt for other models that had 2 or more. It is large, easy to read, and easy to navigate through the different screens. I would buy again.

Amazon warehouse Disappointed: Product Good.-described as 'packaging slightly damaged' was actually ripped to bits and destroyed both externally and internally, more worryingly described 'as New' but had dive logs present.Moving on:The product itself is nicely designed, and the colours match the receivers other dive equipment.Functionality is relatively easy, via a single button, and works through logical button press steps. Can be used with nitrox as well as air, and has altitude settings too.Auto entry dive start and back light.Multiple dive logs stored.A software CD and basic Quick Guide is included. An OPTIONAL computer link is also available, but this is very expensive and of questionable practical use.Nice size, looks nice, and can be used as a vocational watch without looking like a huge dive computer!WOULD recommend.

I really like this as a first computer. The only reason I’m taking a star off is because the directions are basically useless. I had to do a lot of research and watch YouTube videos to familiarize myself with the computer. Other than that it’s easy to use, very big clear screen, and it’s accurate. The backlight is fine, I just ended up using my flashlight to read it on a night dive and didn’t even bother with it. Otherwise could see it clearly during day dives with low vis. It will be great to tie me over until I splurge on a Shearwater Teric. Then this will become a nice reliable backup. If you’re looking for a solid computer as a new or very occasional recreational diver, this is a solid computer for a great price.

Really happy with this dive computer. Diving on air and have been able to pop it on and just head for the water. The display is really easy to read both in and out of the water. The layout of the information is very straightforward making it effortless to use.I have been happy with the maximum bottom time that has been given on my dives and could see this adapting quickly as I moved to shallower depths. The safety stop is also very clear showing with a beep to signal it has finished which is handy if you are hovering in a location with nice coral and fish to distract you.I will need to look at the additional features in more detail but hope to find they are also easy to use.

Very good, easy to use dive computer. It can be used to plan dives and gives you a countdown at the end of the dive for how long you have to wait before you can fly. No real set up required. You can just strap it on and go for a dive and it will automatically record all the pertinent information. It's worth getting the PC interface as well so that you can download your dives to your PC. The dive computer can store up to 60 dives / 70 hrs. I'm a rescue diver but I've always been bad at logging dives, this makes it much easier. The only thing I record now is the name / location of the dive site (which you can attach to each dive using the PC interface software).

I am so excited that I finally got a chance to try this out. It's awesome for the casual or intermediate diver. Display is clear and shows what you need to know without any frills. No-fly notification was nice. It stores a ton of info so you don't have to worry about synching it between dives.I only have two complaints: first of all, the fast ascent alarm is a touch too sensitive. It would go nuts when I was just moving up a couple of feet to navigate around things. Second, you need to buy the computer interface separately. It's a bit of a bummer to get nice tech but need to buy add-ons to access your logs. All in all a very nice starter computer!

I don’t dive extensively, but I consistently do 10 to 20 dives a year. Over 15 years it stacks up. I guess this watch really suits my purpose. I’m not too fussed so long as it does what I need.I used it in the galapagos this year and it was reliable. For the cost I’d happily recommend. It does keep a dive log that you can scroll back through, but the one feature I would add is the ability to transfer that log off onto a smartphone. Doesn’t feel like too much to ask in this day and age.Irrespective, quite a few of the instructors out there were also using this computer on a daily basis, so seems like a quality product.

Great basic dive computer that handles all the functions you could want as a recreational diver, including Nitrox. Excellent purchase for a beginner, and if you want to upgrade later for a more advanced/expensive computer this will make a good backup for your main. Currently on Amazon for $200, which is a great deal. The only thing I don't like about it is the sensitivity of the ascent alarm, it will beep at you with relatively minor rapid ascents (like going from a horizontal to a vertical position on the bottom of a pool). Other than that, no complaints.

I am a new diver recently qualified and this has proved excellent for my current needs. It is simple to operate, easy to see under water and provides easy access to the information I need whilst diving such as depth, time, no decompression time, ascent rate and deep stop depth and time. It also provides surface information between dives and carries this forward into subsequent dives.I am also told by a far more experienced diver that the other facilities available on this item such as nitro settings will be useful as I progress - but I'm not there yet!

Great dive computer for completing dive master - easy to use and navigate around - large clear screen making it easy to read underwater and having compared time/depth and temperature readings with far more expensive computers it is just as accurate. Highly recommend for divers who are recreational or doing their dive master and don’t want to spend too much on a computer - love the colour (I have white strap) - it is big for a feminine wrist but fits well over a 7mm wetsuit. Once a more advanced diver this would be a great back up so always an investment
