My 6 year old son was given this video camera for his Christmas. He instantly loved it as he fancies himself as a bit of a movie director with his three brothers as his stars. They had a whale of a time making movies ... until the camera broke. Despite only being used under adult supervision and being looked after, this video camera ceased to function properly after a mere five months and then it would not function at all. I was surprised as well as disappointed that something made by Crayola would be so badly made so I contacted Crayola. It transpires that they do not manufacture this item. It is made under license. They would not take any responsibility for it at all. Indeed,

Do not believe the technical specification for this camera. Our one keeps jamming on and you cannot turn it off without unscrewing the battery compartment and removing and reinserting a battery. Having contacted Crayola Customer Services they recommend using a maximum of a 2Mb memory card rather than up to the 32Mb stated in the camera's specification. They are sending us a free 2Mb memory card to overcome this 'problem', which the camera should not have in the first place. Disappointing, as the camera is otherwise easy to use for a 5 year old, but if it stays on and cannot be turned off, then the batteries just die.Update - this is NOT a Crayola product - just a branded product made by another company.

I bought a Crayola digital camcorder for my 5 year old daughter who loves taking pictures. I am massively disappointed with your product. It looked great in the packaging and offered much promise. My biggest gripe about the camera is the picture and sound quality of the playback. It is absolute pants! I know it's a kid's camera, but what is the point of something so poor that you are disappointed every time you watch something back? It wasn't cheap either. Further, playback on the actual camera has no sound?? And the screen is tiny. For the money, I think this is a very poor product and very disappointing.

I am disappointed with the product. Firstly the screen is very small. Secondly there appears to be a fault on the camera as it doesn't always come on. If it does come on it often freezes. I wouldn't recommend buying one!

I got this for my 6 year old son, who loves taking photos. The product it's self is fairly easy to use but the screen is tiny.
