Crash Bandicoot is, in fact, the best platform game charectar since the great and powerful Sonic the Hedgehog. A colourful and original chap, who has been inspired by admirable sources (Sonic, Mario, Indianna Jones, and judging by the plot of the first game,H.G. Well's "The Island of Dr Maraeu"), Crash has been around since 1996.The gameplay of the Playstation 1 games was instantly accessible, seamlessly fun, and blissfully gripping.This offering from Traveller's Tales does the series justice.However, Uka Uka no longer seems as menacing as he did in the Crash 3. Instead of the genocidal, apocolyptic nasty demon of wrath in the third game, he is a naughty bit of wood that is once again up to his naughty tricks.

As usual, it is a very fun game; all the usual great moves and different challenges; the only problem is, by now, it's starting to get a bit predictable. It has virtually the same warp room as Crash 3, the same secret warp room. However, whereas on Crash 3 Coco's levels are all on various vehicles, on this one she is fully playable. She has a spin kick to repalce Crash's spin, a low kick to replace his slide, and a stomp instead of a belly flop. Unfortunately, the only power she gets from defeating the bosses is the sprint which Crash gets when he has defeated Neo Cortex. Also, the storyline isn't quite as good as the others. I played this game more than any other when I was younger, and after years of leaving it to collect dust in a box after the death of my console, nostalgia got the better of me and I bought another PS2 console for £30 and dug out my good old Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex disk. This game never gets old. I have spent many more happy hours collecting crystals and exploring all the fun and zany worlds and those good old boss battles with Crunch bringing back many memories of me and my older sister throwing the controller at the TV in frustration. Once you start playing this game, you will be unable to put it down! There are no words for the sheer excellence of this game. And at the price these PS2 gems are at now?

If you love Crash Bandicoot like i do, then have to buy this game. it ranges in difficulty getting harder as the game goes on. I used to play Crash on the PS1 when i was younger.It can get frustrating if you keep dying, and it takes awhile for the levels to load, if you die you have to wait for it to load again (the reason i only gave 4 stars)Really good graphics, and the audio is good. It's highly addictive and fun to play. You can even play as Coco. It has some really cool vehicles too. And some really hard boss levels (to be expected) but that makes it more of a fun challenge.i recommend this game for all Crash fans.good price (i payed £2.55, not £32.95+£2 p&p like it now says for some reason)fast dispatch and delivery.

Such an excellent game, many thousands of hours wasted, continually trying to defeat Cortex and his little buddies.Yes, the on some reviews it's been said that loading times are longer than you may expect but what people must remember is this game is for PS2! A console which is probably older than many of the people writing the said reviews.A game which truely takes me back to my childhood - tears of frustration, elation and sometimes rage are to be expected. Excellent game controls, which can (mostly) benefit and (sometimes) hinder the player. Would absolutely recommend to anyone. To sum up the game, it is brilliant, random, and an excellent rainy day activity.

I'm glad to see Crash has been returned to his platform home after the awful Crash Bash. If you want a description, this is basically Crash 3 with new levels and super visuals, but at Amazon's [...] price it's worth buying. There is not as much free-roaming as you've been led to believe but there's the usual amount of bonus stages and you even get to be Coco (Crash's computer-whizz sister) on some levels- she now has all her own moves with kicks and leg-sweeps. There is also loads of vehicles like a very amusing hamster ball and a jeep. You might argue it's the same as the previous adventures but if you haven't played those you definitely should buy this. This is another brilliant one of crash bandicoot series, but this time there's more different things you can use in the missions. The games brilliant graphics makes you believe you are playing it real life. Crash himself looks brilliant aswell as Coco and all the other enemies. The audio is mainly the same as the others but just sounds and incy bit better. The gameplay is the best and most fun thing about the game. Roll in a ball, go on a scooter as Coco and more. Over 25 missions and 5 bosses. You must collect the crystls and all the gems which arnt easy. The bosses area real test. Despite it takes a year to load, a brilliant game and one i reccommend to you.

Product was delivered promptly to me without a hitch. Arrived in great condition. box, disk & instructions as promised, disk was well used (reflecting a good game, in my opinion!) but runs beautifully, no problems so far. I used to own this game & never made it past the first set of levels before it was sold, but since buying it again have found it addictive! Some levels more difficult than others but it's all good fun. The only reason for not giving the game 5/5 stars really is that the levels take some time to load (more than I usually wait for Playstation games, anyway). Thanks for a worthwhile buy!!

Crash Bandicoot deserves to be as iconic as Sonic and Mario and that is a fact.This game is one of the best Crash games. And unfortunately no Crash games have been released for PS3.You can't go far wrong with this, it's old but wonderful. It's good for kids as adults alike. It has lots of levels, lots of great cartoon cut sequences and wonderful voices. I recommend all the Crash games , I completed most and they are a challenge. I just wish there were new ones out.

A nice next-gen (well, last gen by now, but never mind) update of the classic Crash Bandicoot series. This instalment is more of the same - cute, brightly coloured, harmless platforming fun. You can pick this game up very cheaply nowadays, and you can't really go wrong.Pros: Fun for both children and adults, good graphics, large variety of levels.Cons: Dodgy voice acting (though it is a cartoon I suppose), long loading times.

OK, so you have to wait a short while for each section of the game to load...but it's worth the wait. This game is so much fun and sooo addictive! Visually, a feast for the eyes and the game control is so precise that you have to be pretty accurate...which adds to the challenge. Be prepared to lose hours as it's impossible to put down.

I like this game the action is very good it requires work to over come challenges, so you get a sense of acheivement, unlike Spyro. I don't find the load time to slow, but my only moan would be you can't save mid-way through a level, which is a pain if you need to stop briefly, you have to start all over.

I bought this from Retroboy, so when it came, I checked the disc and was pleased as there wasn't a single scratch on it!!I put in to try it out and it works perfectly, blfelt nostalgic as I played this game as a teen so Thankyou Retroboy will defiently purchase from you again!!!

This game is fantastic and is lots of fun! There are many new things such as characters and suits. But once again the Crash Bandicoot makers come back with a great platformer! You'll get alot out of it! That's all i can say really.... 10 out of 10!

Was the same price as P&P so can't complain. Had hours of fun on it with the girlfriend. Brings back memories. Delivery was quick which I was very impressed with. Will use the company again and will continue to get hours of enjoyment out the game
