Even though my PC is a closed box, solid sides, I still wanted a spalsh of my signature colour inside the white case with predominantly black components! Don't be put off by some of the pictures you see of this that make it look like a flat, dull red. These sticks of RAM are like a sparkly candy-apple red, as shown in some photos of it installed.Other than that, er, yeah, it's RAM. A few things for you to consider thought when buying RAM:1. What will your CPU actually support? A core i7 9700 (like I have) will only take advantage of 2666MHz. You can use faster RAM like this, but the gains for Intel are marginal.2. Faster RAM doesn't necessarily mean better. Aside from capacity,RAM also comes with a couple of other key numbers. Speed (3200MHz in this case) and latency (C16 in this case). You need to consider both, and there is a formula for it (assuming dual channel here):latency/speed*2000 = 16/3200*2000 = 10nanosecondsIf you do the maths, you'll see that 15/3000*2000 also equals 10 nanoseconds. So, you'll often find that faster ram has slightly worse latency, which broadly balances out. So why buy faster if slower can ultimately perform the same on paper? More bandwidth - simple as that. For a given latency, yes, more MHz is better, and you are always better off getting as much bandwidth as you can afford, but, you'll find that high speed and low latency starts to get very expensive very quickly and for marginal gains (read, bragging rights). It also depends on what you are using your PC for as to what to get. For gaming, you aren't going to get much benefit from super-fast RAM and using more than 16GB of it. There's always a performance/benefit curve with PCs and components, and the best PCs are those that use components in good balance.

Not sure how to rate memory, it either works or it doesn't.However a couple of things to mention, it is listed as 2400 memory but it shows as 2133 in bios on the Asus Z107-A MB. This has to be manually selected to 2400.Apparently this is normal as the memory is listed as 2400 OC (which presume means Over Clocked), so is NOT true 2400. (my fault I didn't realise this!)Have stability issues with my MB sometimes freezing and upon reboot warns that overclocking failed. As I don't overclock, (other than the memory setting), then I can only assume it refers to the memory speed at 2400. In which case that makes it incapable of running at its advertised speed. A bit misleading, but looks like all manufacturers do the same. This has only happened 3 times since purchase, so not a great problem. I haven't run it at 2133, so don't know what impact it would have on system performance. Some reviews show very little difference.I have not had any specific memory issues though.

I recently made a massive PC upgrade/overhaul, moving from an FX-8320 and FXA-990 mobo...to a R7 2700X and Gigabyte Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming. With that said, I also had to retire my 32GB HyperX DDR3 1600MHz CL10 RAM. I couldn't downgrade in RAM capacity, and intend to max out my mobo's DIMMs at some point. Judging by the "Verified Purchase", and this review, you can guess what I ultimately went with.Out of the box, you'll expect, and might be confused, as to why the RAM is running at 2133MHz. This is pretty standard. So you'll definitely need to go into your UEFI BIOS and select "XMP Profile 1" to ensure it's running at its best. It might vary on how/where you need to enable that. But I've decided to attach some images from my BIOS.Since I don't have other DDR4 to compare this to, I can't offer benchmarks. All in all, it's low profile, and even if it isn't RGB--it still looks great.

I had absolutely no idea that there were so many different types of Ram these days. This was my third attempt as I was having difficulty in reading the labels on my pc's original ram and the paperwork that came with the pc was "generic" not specific to my setup, so I wasn't sure that even Corsair's amazing website help was right. Amazon were absolutely brilliant in exchanging each wrong purchase. I was relieved when I opened the package and it looked as if it would fit. Opened up my pc (yet again) placed it where it should go - in it popped. I put my pc back together, turned it on. I noticed the difference immediately. Before fitting this I had time to turn on the monitor and either the keyboard or mouse - not this time.I checked the settings and I had doubled my ram - at last! PC still working perfectly and very fast.

I have this kit installed in a Gigabyte Designare Z390 motherboard. The XMP profile picked the correct memory timings when enabling it in the BIOS and I have the memory on a permanent DDR4 3600 overclock with no issues to report. I wasn't able to overclock beyond DDR4 3600 however.I didn't use the included Vengeance Airflow RAM fan. I didn't even realise this was included in the kit when I made the purchase. It is nice that the Airflow RAM fan comes with red and silver fan mounts, but it feels cheap. I would have preferred it was not included and saved some money. However, it is an excellent performing 64GB kit and the stable DDR4 3600 overclock saved me a few quid.

I just built a computer for a customer strictly using either black or white components and these memory sticks fitted the bill perfectly. Low profile and no RGB, just 16GB of DDR4 memory, capable of 3000Mhz with a lovely white head spreader! Due to being low profile they won't interfere with any CPU cooler. One bonus of being all white is if you shine any coloured light onto the components then being white it will adopt that colour. Simply install the memory and enable XMP Memory in the Bios and it should work at the 3000Mhz speed straight away. Highly Recommended!

Well, there was sale or so, and got this beauties for less than 3200MhzC14 now, so...they are B-Die. My mobo, z370Taichi does not like their XMP but manually set, all working great. At the moment 4000 17-17-17-36 so it is decent speed. Will try 4200 though, later :)Now they are priced 454pounds, so no go for me. Half price - best deal ever done :)Ok. Update. Best they run is 4200@18-18-18-41 and 1.42v. 4000c17 was unstable. Now is stable and fast. AIDA shows 40ns mem latency...cannot run more. Boot 4300 but too much hassle...

I returned the HyperX memory as it hung within the first few moments of use. I was not sure if it was because I was using 64GB or not so went back to using Corsair. This is what I have working fine together.Corsair CMK64GX4M4B3200C16 Vengeance LPX 64 GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz C16AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Processor with Wraith Prism RGB LED Cooler - YD270XBGAFBOXASUS X470 ROG Crosshair VII Hero MotherboardCorsair RM850x 80 PLUS Gold, 850 Watts, Fully Modular ATX PSUCorsair CC-9011078-WW Obsidian Series 750D Airflow Edition

Fast fast fast. With these being 4ddr you get the speed and performance required. I am currently saving up to buy another pair to fill my ram sockets.First time PC builders a tip for ram1. Make sure 1 ram goes into the slot furthest from your CPU. 2nd ram is then installed into slot 3. I didn't realise this.2. More force is required for these to click into place.I was scared I was going to snap them or break my mobo. They do need more force than you think.Overall lightning quick product.

Whilst I rate Corsair very well mid-June 2017 AMD Ryzen AM4 motherboards are having issues getting any 3200 memory to work beyond 2133 or 2933 for some reason - well discussed in technical web pages. This RAM is on MSI's QVL rated at 3200 but never attained even with latest drivers eg MSI B350 Tomahawk's latest 7A34v15 bios update and despite changing bios settings.I would wait until the motherboard makers have definitely fixed these issues as presently there are very mixed experiences.

Corsair's LPX series has a very good name for itself, and it has definitely lived up to expectations. If you're planning on upgrading your PC or building a new one and need affordable DDR4 memory, i'd recommend this.It performs great, and has a nice low-profile making it extra useful when install an aftermarket heatsink. In addition with the market on PC components gradually settling and constant sales, you should be able to grab a high frequency set for a very decent price.

Not cheap but well worth the premium for stability and performance with my system. These are the second pair I ordered. They were on the QVL list for my MSI B350 PC MATE motherboard so it was a no brainer. I use a Ryzen 5 1600 and have them at 2666MHz currently. They do run at the full 3200MHz using the XMP2 profile (with the latest motherboard firmware) if you only install 2 modules in slot A2, B2. I have 4 modules installed now so for stability have reduced the clock speed.

This low profile height RAM is ideal for those that have a heatsink and CPU fan near their RAM sockets and fits perfectly. Easy to fit. Motherboard took longer to POST after first power on as the BIOS reads the installed memory on first boot. As with all new RAM I recommend you test your memory with memtest86 which will put the memory under load to check for faults and stability issues. If your BIOS supports XMP then select the XMP profile in BIOS for automatic over clock.

It's RAM, what's there to review? it either works or it doesn't. Well, I had Vengeance LPX 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) installed, but, the black variant. I bought this matched pair in red so I could easily identify what are the matching pairs in future.Lots have said XMP doesn't work for them, well, I had no problems turning it on with this RAM. It's a nice little boost and doing a few benchmarks I get reports that my RAM is over-performing compared to similar rigs. Good stuff!

30.12.2018

First of all, I ran memtest86 and it reported no errors - I am not surprised - I have never had faulty corsair memory although I have purchased it several times. One nice thing is that the kit includes an optional cooling fan which mounts on top of the RAM modules. This is very useful if you want to overclock and thus the memory may product additional heat.No silly RGB lighting, which is great for me - I don't want light pollution.
