I bought four of these to give me 32 Gigabytes of RAM (I 'virtualize' software and you need the RAM overhead) in one system. No, it isn't the fastest DDR3 out there, but if you aren't an avid 'over-clocker' or PC Gamer, but require lots of RAM, these could be for you. 8Gb RAM sticks are new and a lot more expensive than 2 or 4Gb sticks, but if your PC has only two RAM slots and you need 16Gbs this is for you. If you are unsure about fitting, get a tech savvy person to do it and do make sure they are compatible. DDR3 boards with an older BIOS may not recognize them at all or only recognize half the RAN, so make sure it is on the latest BIOS. Your motherboard will also have a QVL (Qualified Vendor List)for RAM, 8Gb sticks probably won't be there on some QVLs, but from experience I have found Corsair Value Select very compatible on the boards I have used, so 99% of the time should work. Make sure your operating system supports it. A 32bit operating system will only support up to 4Gbs of RAM of which you will see no more than 3.5Gbs. A 64bit operating system supports a whole lot more, but if you are running 64bit Windows 7 Home Premium, you are limited to 16Gbs of RAM.Pros:Very CompatibleRelatively cheapCons:Slow for some PC enthusiasts64 bit operating system compatible use only

After reading many reviews saying how this RAM was DOA or stopped working after a couple of days, I was hesitant to buy it but I bit the bullet as it was the cheapest one fulfilled by Amazon. I’m glad I did as it has been working exceptionally well so far, a few days after installation.I bought two of these 4GB sticks and luckily, I’m tech-savvy so installing the RAM was a piece of cake — simply take out the existing sticks of RAM and click the new ones into place. The computer that was upgraded originally had 4GB of RAM: 1x 2GB DDR3 1333MHz and 2x 1GB DDR3 1333MHz. I kept over the 2GB stick in order to bump the total up to 10GB and made sure that the RAM was running in dual channel for optimalperformance. The difference between the old 4GB RAM and the new 10GB RAM is night and day — 1080p 60fps videos stream buttery smooth, applications load quicker and I haven’t gotten any warnings about my computer running out of memory. It brought new life to an old PC.If you’re on the fence about buying this RAM for performance, buy it. The ‘value’ tag means nothing, RAM is RAM at the end of the day.

This ram is the perfect kit for those building on a budget, It runs flawlessly in dual channel, it works flawlessly with amd phenom IIX4 processors (Mine is AMD Phenom IIX4 955BE C3 @3.2Ghz), smooth as silk gaming and it scores 7.5 in my windows experience index.but the best point about this kit is that it's corsair (one of best of the best brands) and costs the same as some no brand alternative, fantastic buy this ram and your computer will breeze through windows 7 64bit whilst not costing the earth. heck you could buy two of these sets for the same price as pcworld charge for one of their off the shelf kits.-Update: Just Bought a second Kit as it was going so cheap and now all 4 slots on mypc are filled so I Now Have 8GB DDR3 in dual channel: I've never owned a machine so slick and for such an affordable price.

I bought this RAM to upgrade from 2 x 1GB DDR3 10600 from the same manufacturer. Out of the packaging I replaced my existing memory modules, and fired my machine up. POST recognises 4.196 GB, but my OS only recognises 3.5 GB, due to the fact that I am currently running Windows 7 32-bit for driver compatibility issues. The RAM increases my Windows 7 index score from 5.5 to 7.1 (and I'm sure above that when I install the 64-bit version of the operating system)Coupled with an old Q6600 2.4 Ghz quad core and an Nvidia GTX-550Ti this is quite a decent computer for gaming, and I would recommend this RAM highly for those with slightly older systems who don't want to go through a complete new rebuildto up their performance levels. The bottom line is you can't go wrong for £17.

After s lot of reading on the interwebz I drew the conclusion that the speed jump from 1333 to 1600 in DDR3 memory was so small I should just get 1333 and so I spent days scouring the internet for the best value DDR3 1333 produced by a well know company. This memory is brilliant, worked straight out of the box with the motherboard (Asus M4A87TD/USB3) and hasn't given one fault in the last few months of ownership. Only flaw really (which isnt really a flaw for me) is that the picture implied there was a heatsink over the chips when actually its just a long sticker but as I have said the jump in speed from 1333 to 1600 is so small I wont be overclocking any time soon anyway. Conclusion, great RAM at a great price.

I bought this to pep up a 4 year old HP Pavilion with 8Gb, so now I have 8 + 8 = 16Gb. It seems to have done the trick, I often have multiple applications open, including Photoshop and I want to be able to switch between them instantaneously, without having to wait five seconds or more. I thought that it might work because years and years ago I used to sell Apple Macintosh computers and the one thing that really made them zip along was having loads of RAM so that they didn't need to use virtual memory. I'd say that this computer is now just about as fast as any I have ever seen. Very very pleased! If you have found this review helpful please click the button below. Thanks!

Given no choices as the two slots on the motherboard hold a maximum of 8GB each and the first fitted was 1600 MHz, I went for price instead and this was lowest as well as Prime (free rapid delivery). I had to clean the inside of the desktop but the DRAMM fit snugly and locked neatly in place. The machine was faulty on restart but I soon found a loose SATA cable and it booted cleanly. Delivery was fast and I must assume the computer is faster as I have yet to try any demanding work on it. I have been promising myself this upgrade for a year and I was pleased to find such a good price so I am completely satisfied so far.

Main factor for purchase was the price. With memory rather expensive I have been putting this off for a while. But running just 1GB was proving very sluggish. So I looked around read a few reviews and settled for this pair of RAMS.My computer is now a whole lot quicker. Personally I have never looked into "Overclocking". As the name suggests, it is running the RAM at speeds that it was not designed to sustain. But the speed improvement just by quadrupling the memory has worked wonders for me. If only I had 2 more sockets on the motherboard then I could upgrade to 8GB......Definitely worth the money.

Ram is ram, ie - dull. It either works or you send it back... You do send it back don't you? Corsair is a known, and good, make with a lifetime (all be it limited) warranty. I bought 4 * 4 gb sets to expand my slightly aged AMD Phenom X4 to its max 16gb.Insertion was easy, though with no heat sink in them, that white thing is just a label, you do end up with a dent in your figures. The system recognised them without problems and they have performed faultlessly since install. I would not recommend for overclockers due to the lack of heat sink, but for normal use there's no problem at all.

Although the speed of these sticks is only 1300 mhz, and they're listed as "value select" they have made good impact on the access speed and help with multi-tasking jobs on my PC. Previous bench tests said that the original 4Gigs was sufficient, but who the hell wants "sufficient"These are the identical sticks that were allready installed on my Gaming PC, thus doubling the RAM fro 4 to 8 Gigabytes. I have accually noticed some extra nimbleness though, honestly!

My computer was a fairly good model when I bought it 7 years ago but time moves on and 4GB is slow today. My son who's an absolute whizz with computers told me to buy the 8GB memory module and fitted it for me and now my computer is as fast as it was when it was new, brilliant! absolutely brilliant, I am so happy I no longer have to wait for anything to load , it's almost instant once again. Thank goodness!

Bought 4x of these babies. And now my pc is a beast. Ultimate performance. My games don't seem to go over the 32gb on Windows 7 professional. The pc is ultra fast. It doesn't feel like my old dell inspiron 530 or should I say my dell dimension 4700 experiences. Also definitely recommend these babies for pc builds on old ddr3 systems works well on the fx8350 build. No faults found.

Needed cheap but reasonable quality 2x2GB 1333MHz DDR3 RAM for a budget build using a GA-78LMT-S2P motherboard and AMD Phenom II X2 555 CPU. Perfect for general use. Comparatively low-spec computer so can't comment on memory's suitability for gaming. Used Corsair RAM in last four builds with no problems whatsoever, though this is the first with the "Value Select" version.

Excellent. Totally compatible with my pc. Easy to install and no problems when re-booting the pc. True plug and play.Update - fitted a replacement motherboard as two out of the four memory slots didn't work. Now installed 8GB instead of 4GB. No problems whatsoever. If you're looking for cheap memory and it's compatible with your pc, I'd go for this everytime.
