I got this for a new budget gaming PC that I built, and I only got one stick (running in Single Channel Mode). I cannot speak highly enough of this. I don't have any issues with it, it will get to 1600 MHz as long your BIOS says so, and it's worth every penny. I am going to get another one of these sometime soon, but only when I feel like I really need it. I am using it on Windows 8 Pro, and if you edit the Windows performance settings, and make sure you choose to allocate for best performance, it will use very little RAM. I have some background apps running (Google Drive uploads, Steam, Origin, UPlay, AMD Catalyst, and a couple others) and it doesn't use above 1.3 GB of this RAM.

Yes, DDR3 memory is a commodity. But in January 2012, getting 16Gbyte kits for $75 each is a breakthrough price.So, I ordered four kits, installed them all in the same mobo, and the software world looks ever so different from the perspective of the first and only 64Gbyte machine I've used. This ram is the perfect kit for those building on a budget, It runs flawlessly in dual channel, it works flawlessly with amd phenom IIX4 processors (Mine is AMD Phenom IIX4 955BE C3 @3.2Ghz), smooth as silk gaming and it scores 7.5 in my windows experience index.but the best point about this kit is that it's corsair (one of best of the best brands) and costs the same as some no brand alternative, fantastic buy this ram and your computer will breeze through windows 7 64bit whilst not costing the earth. heck you could buy two of these sets for the same price as pcworld charge for one of their off the shelf kits.-Update: Just Bought a second Kit as it was going so cheap and now all 4 slots on my

I bought this RAM to upgrade from 2 x 1GB DDR3 10600 from the same manufacturer. Out of the packaging I replaced my existing memory modules, and fired my machine up. POST recognises 4.196 GB, but my OS only recognises 3.5 GB, due to the fact that I am currently running Windows 7 32-bit for driver compatibility issues.The RAM increases my Windows 7 index score from 5.5 to 7.1 (and I'm sure above that when I install the 64-bit version of the operating system)Coupled with an old Q6600 2.4 Ghz quad core and an Nvidia GTX-550Ti this is quite a decent computer for gaming, and I would recommend this RAM highly for those with slightly older systems who don't want to go through a complete new rebuild

After s lot of reading on the interwebz I drew the conclusion that the speed jump from 1333 to 1600 in DDR3 memory was so small I should just get 1333 and so I spent days scouring the internet for the best value DDR3 1333 produced by a well know company.This memory is brilliant, worked straight out of the box with the motherboard (Asus M4A87TD/USB3) and hasn't given one fault in the last few months of ownership. Only flaw really (which isnt really a flaw for me) is that the picture implied there was a heatsink over the chips when actually its just a long sticker but as I have said the jump in speed from 1333 to 1600 is so small I wont be overclocking any time soon anyway.Conclusion,

I have had excellent experiences with the Corsair ValueSelect. For the price they can't be beaten. I now have the ValueSelect modules in most of my computers. A lot of RAM from other companies have failed early, while these are running strong. The 2x4GB sticks is all you need to make your computer happy. According to the Windows Experience these two sticks provide a 6.9 out of 7.4 in the memory category. I assume the only way to close that half a point gap is to purchase the more expensive version of Windows that unlocks support for more RAM and have 16 or 32GB, but whatever you are doing that requires that much RAM you should be doing on a Mac. For gaming 8GB is enough.

When I buy memory I try and get corsair when I can, seeing as they are a known/trusted brand. I have taken chances on unknown companies before with mixed results, and now I stick with the brand that has never given me problems.At the time that I bought this the price was absolutely right for the amount of memory you got, although now it is a tad higher for whatever reason, but its still a good deal. If you are looking to up the memory in your computer this is a good way to do it, don't fall for the gimmicky heat spreaders and fancy colors some companies use on their ram, its useless. All you need is a quality brand that makes a quality product, and this memory succeeds on both counts!

I bought this memory along with an Intel i7 3770 and Gigabyte Z77-DS3H. I could have bought the 1600 version, but opted for the 1333 mhz. I loose a little in performance, but it gave me piece of mind when I was build ing the computer. Sometimes it is beneficial to get with the older model over the latest and greatest when making a build that theoretically isn't supported. My research said 1333 mhz with that proc and mobo comb, so that is what I went with. I couldn't be happier. Would have given 5 stars, but it isn't the 1600 MHz version. I'll put this memory in a different computer,and buy some faster memory soon. Maybe :) ?

Main factor for purchase was the price. With memory rather expensive I have been putting this off for a while. But running just 1GB was proving very sluggish. So I looked around read a few reviews and settled for this pair of RAMS.My computer is now a whole lot quicker. Personally I have never looked into "Overclocking". As the name suggests, it is running the RAM at speeds that it was not designed to sustain. But the speed improvement just by quadrupling the memory has worked wonders for me. If only I had 2 more sockets on the motherboard then I could upgrade to 8GB......Definitely worth the money.

It is nice one.working well without any problem.I have 4 ram ports.2 rams 2gb each from zion have 1333mhz frequency.one from zion 4gb 1333mhz and other one is this.It is a 1600mhz ram so all my rams are running at 1333mhz speed.I am telling this all because it could help anybody and i also was very confused about how it would work.I got it for very good price almost same or less than other 4gb 1333 rams so i considered buying it.Though performance of pc mainly depends on the processor and graphics card and not so much depends on ram,anyone can consider it for a little upgrade for lesser price.

Although the speed of these sticks is only 1300 mhz, and they're listed as "value select" they have made good impact on the access speed and help with multi-tasking jobs on my PC. Previous bench tests said that the original 4Gigs was sufficient, but who the hell wants "sufficient"These are the identical sticks that were allready installed on my Gaming PC, thus doubling the RAM fro 4 to 8 Gigabytes. I have accually noticed some extra nimbleness though, honestly!

The RAM was delivered a day early (thanks Amazon). Both DIMMS were recognized properly and passed the initial RAM stress tests. I've had success with Corsair RAM in my Macbook Pros with not issues on either box. The oldest Macbook has been handed down to the kids and the RAM is still functioning after 4 years of use. I'm a heavy user (Photoshop, games, Fusion) and am looking forward to heavy duty use of this RAM in my Optiplex 790DT.

I put together a monster workstation and needed as much RAM as I could get for my money.These were by far the best value for RAM I could get.And yeah I got plenty. I have 32GB of RAM in the workstation fully 64Bit and Motherboard supports it.I can pretty much run multiple VMs and not break a sweat.1 year later, its now going for 164$, considering I paid 64.99 each pair.I am seriously not complaining as they are still kicking.

My computer was a fairly good model when I bought it 7 years ago but time moves on and 4GB is slow today. My son who's an absolute whizz with computers told me to buy the 8GB memory module and fitted it for me and now my computer is as fast as it was when it was new, brilliant! absolutely brilliant, I am so happy I no longer have to wait for anything to load , it's almost instant once again. Thank goodness!
