I have been riding Vittoria Corsa's tubular's on Bontrager Aeolus carbon wheels for about 3 years. I love the ride of the Corsa's and mileage was decent but not great, the ride was worth it. I did try Conti Comp's but found the ride super harsh, unless you are on roads that are like butter, which I am not, and even though they raced very well (Crits) I would have to deflate to much to soften the ride out. Full disclosure I am a Clydesdale 6:0 - 210 and need my tires pumped to the max.On a recent ride my Vittoria popped via the sidewall which did have a small tear that I tried to patch but failed regardless, price you pay for 320 thread count.I was ready to purchase the Vittoria's again but the price was nearly $30 more then I had paid in the past, I just couldn't justify it.So on the hunt for some new tires I was going to go back to Conti Comp's because they were at least fast and a bit cheaper then the Vitts. I stumbled on a few reviews about the Sprinters and what a difference the Chili compound made with this tire, the price was half that of the Comps and 120 less then the Vitts for two so I thought I would give them a go.Glad I did, for the first time I also decided not to glue the tire but use tape and again REALLY glad I did. Because of the way the cloth is attached to the conti's they are very receptive to tape, Vitt's not so much. I use Janex Tape not Tufo and the grip to the rim is solid if not more than glue and I was riding after about 20 minutes mounting the tires,no days waiting, love that! These tire are very fast, but what shocked me was how well they road, 150psi rear 145 front and they felt softer then the Vitt's, I couldn't believe it! Grip via the Chili compound is awesome, great tire that won't break the bank.

I think these are good.... but sometimes they have a bit of a hop in them. I think this is (at least in my case) the base tape kind of overlaps it self and creates a little hop in the wheel that you can really feel at speed if you have them pumped up. They're good tho, fast and grippy. My experience so far, I've spent two seasons riding on these now. My front tyre has two full seasons of racing on it (for me thats about 1800-2000 miles) and has had no flats and it looks good to use for a third season. My rear tire got a flat last year, and it was just bad luck the tyre is durable and it was just something small that I must have run over that caused a very slow leak. This year my rear tyre was all good but unfortunately it was destroyed in a crash that also destroyed my rear wheel. I had been running 22c tyres but I just ordered two new tyres that are 25c, im hoping these will be a little more comfortable to race on and I'm told that with the 404 fire crest rims they'll actually be more aero. We'll have to see about this.I would say from experience that the Vittoria Evo Corsa tyres are a wee bit faster than these, but definitely not as durable and at about 2.5 times the price I just cant justify getting those tyres over these. Im just a CAT 3 crit racer who sometimes does well in road races... so these aren't going to be the difference maker for me. But if you're a CAT 1 who is on the cusp of taking the points lead in your States B.A.R. series or something then maybe the Vittoria's would be a worthwhile investment. But for most racers I think these tyres at this price are a mega bargain which is why I just ordered two more of them.Hope this helps!

These tires have a couple tradeoffs. One is, they are ridiculously difficult to mount. The upside of that is once you've glued them you're confident they ain't gonna roll off... Even after flatting?? Yeah, they're that snug. Another negative is that I don't care much for the ride feel or the handling. Slightly harsh ride, and the handling is too direct. Only way to explain it is that they want to follow grooves or ridges in the road. So it's like a pulling sensation on your bars. It's it the good grip? Or maybe the compound (less forgiving) ? Another positive is that they hold air impressively well. I don't have to pump them up daily if I ride daily. Maybe every third day? Oh, and they are very affordable.Given the price... I'm giving them 4 stars. I won't be so disappointed when I get a puncture that Stans sealant won't address. I went through two sets of Veloflex Arenberg tubulars before these. Those tires are simply sublime. But they are more than double the expense... And you have to inflate them every 24 hours. Just my two cents.

This is a really fantastic tire. I used to buy Vittoria Corsa CX for years and was really tired of the leaks. Most of them were leaking quite a lot and some of them to an unusable level. With Continental, no leakage whatsoever, pump it to 130psi and days later it's the same thing.Grip seems great (Vittoria was not that good on this either) but of course you shouldn't use a such tire on wet. I live in LA and to time trial. An important thing to note is that they are exactly the width announced. I use 25mm and measure it at 25.06mm as you can see. Many manufacturers announce something and it is often 2mm off.Highly recommended!EDIT: they also last long! Awesome tire!EDIT2: years later still buying only these. My hope is that they never discontinue them and maintain the same quality.

Still made in Germany, not outsourced to some huge mega-factory in Thailand or elsewhere with little oversight. I often take these tires down to the point that the cords are showing through the tread, and when I do flat one (rarely) they are the easiest tubular to open up, patch, and stitch back up. The tread is great in all conditions, and the cornering profile is consistent and gives the confidence only a tubular can give. The only drawback is that the casing is a bit stiff, which gives good durability, but also gives a slightly more harsh ride than tires like the Competition and GP4000 Tubular. If I was rich I'd ride the Comps or GP4000s all the time, but I'm not so I chose the Sprinter as by far the best tire anywhere near its price point.

I had gotten away from riding Conti tubulars for some reason. After taping these on my carbon rims I'm reminded of why I used them almost exclusively in my younger years. They are supple, they feel good on corners and they are fast. These tires were also quite easy to mount on the rims. I followed the instructions that Conti supplied and let them stretch on dry rims a little longer than usual before putting them on the taped rims. Btw, tape is MUCH easier to use than glue and just as secure.

I love Continental. If I was 18 years old (late bloomer *cough-cough*) I would of Loved instead of been Crazy about. LolSadly a junk science sports write tried, and failed, to prove wider low pressure tyres = less resistance. It was junk but it stuck. I’m SO still glad I can find skinny tubulars for high pressure

Probably the best tubular. Don't waste too much time surfing the web, just buy this one in a 25mm format. The perfect amount of performance, durability, and price. I have had multiple pairs last long enough to burn through the rubber, until I could see the threads below.

Good adhesion to pavement, wears well, seem to be fast. Probably not as good as the old Sprinters that were natural rubber instead of vulcanized. Tolerates small cuts well...haven't had a blowout with these. Always inspect before a ride, though.

Best tire for the price. At half the price of most tubulars you get solid performance, good weight, and good grip. Great for criteriums and shorter races. If centuries and high miles are your thing invest in a more expensive pair of tubies.

Great product, however, no effort is made for the packaging of the product. It flew from USA to Singapore and there was no bubble wrap or anything to protect it, hence, the box came extremely damaged. However, the tires are fine.

great riding tire for a mid-price tubular. More durable than many I've tried. After trying lots of tubulars from others, the Sprinter is the only tire I use on my racing wheels.

22.5.2020

So far no complaints. After about 3 rides I thought it have been slightly harsher of a ride than my previous set, however it appears they needed to be worn in a little.

30.10.2020

This is not my first tubular tire, or my third, or my tenth. This is by far the best I've ever used. Hasn't flatted in about 500 miles, and holds air for over 4 weeks!

Best bang for the buck tubular going. I get about four thousand miles on them. I have riddent criterium, road race, centuries, and time trial on them. Great product
