I hesitated purchasing this tire set because of the complaints of how difficult to get them on and off the rims. So I purchased one for my commuter hybrid bike. 26 x 1.75 (47-559) to test before I got the second one. Free shipping is a fantastic Prime benefit but you still have to pay to return. Cheaper to return one than two. Always open your packaging in such a way as it can be used to return...just in case. Back to the wheel. I got all of my tools ready for a very difficult tire mount...only to find it was the easiest tire I ever mounted. Did it by hand. Slipped on the rim nicely so no chance of a pinch puncture. Pressured them up to 50 psi (max is 58),installed the wheel on the bike and took it for a very short spin just to get a quick feel for it. As soon as I got back into the shop I ordered the second tire for my front wheel. I'll update the ride quality after I have the set on the bike and get some distance on them in inclement weather. But it looks and feels like a great tire for a gravel/hybrid bike.Update. When I installed the second tire, on the front wheel, it felt terrible on the road. Bike did not handle normally at all. When I examined the tire, for what I thought were deformities, I discovered it wasn't sitting on the rim properly. I'm used to tires that require tire levers to get on. These tires fit a lot looser which is why they are easy to mount by hand, but you have to make sure they are seated properly while inflating. Once they are you will have no problems. One other thing of note. Coming from a road bike that required inflating to proper pressure pretty much every day, I was really surprised to find with these tires and the Goodyear tubes I also purchased I go weeks before having to add any air to the tires.

Best tire I've had so far. Unfortunately, the only tire that can withstand / withstand pressure, load, etc. Can not be compared with cheaper tires of the same brand / type. Cheaper tires = Does not withstand the pressure (usually is about 2.8 Bar), holds about 1500Km (simply becomes brittle = puncture). If you have a heavier bike (does not have to be an electric bike) / loads heavily / heavily on the bike, cheap standard tires will not last. Have also cycled a lot "off road" with these tires without the slightest punk. Have even cycled with broken glass without anything happening. (Over log & stone) Also excellent road properties on wet surfaces. Does not drop (does not slip around like cheap tires do).Have had my tires for almost 1 year (> 1500 km) U.A. However, some dry cracks (because the tire does not withstand pressure / weight, from the sun), but completely normal. Superb / superior low rolling resistance (extremely easily rolled tires). Must be hoses with car valve for these tires. When ordinary bicycle valves (Dunlop) cannot withstand the pressure (unscrews themselves) The pressure must be kept around 2.8 Bar so that the bike does not become too sluggish / high tire wear. However, as with all tires today, unfortunately the tires are made according to a template, your bike after someone completely different. The difference between them is unfortunately inevitable. So with braces & belts, I always put my tires with transparent building silicone (which is cheap at any DIY store) Since I glued my tires with silicone, I have never had a single punk.

I bought a set for my relatively inexpensive MTB when I got tired of tire noise, rolling resistance and poor puncture protection. In fact, the previous tires were so poor that I didn't want to use MTB but only my CityBike. But I thought I'd give it a chance and get some sensible quilt tires. After an incredibly easy installation, where minimal time was spent on correction, it became time for the first trip on MTB. And I do not exaggerate when I say that the feel of the new tire, the heavily reduced rolling resistance and almost no tire noise made it make the bike work several price ranges better. Do not know if it is deliberate in fht design, but it seems that the dot-inhibiting layer gives a certain softness to the tire, even when it is pumped hard. And I find this positive, as I from the CityBiken is used to the bike getting tough to ride on when I reach the recommended pressure. I have ONLY positive things to say about the tire. How it is on the long run, I can't comment on. But if it's just half as good as the first impression, then I look forward to using my MTB for a very long time.

I am no expert or greater experience with different tire types. And I can't say anything about the quality or durability in the long run. I can tell you about the first-hand impression and the first little walk on the tires. Despite the edge thread, they were surprisingly easy to mount. It matched the rim 100% and was almost perfect in the first hug, with minimal adjustment. The first trip was a dream. No noise from the tires on either smooth or coarse asphalt. Only now do I realize how much tire noise was from the old tires. And resistance from the substrate ... yes compared to the tires I replaced them with, it was almost like a hot knife through butter. The tires were purchased for use on asphalt, gravel, and walks in the woods, on well-maintained paths. And that is probably the reason why there is so little noise from the tires, on hard ground. But no doubt that the tires seem like good quality at a good price (bought on offer). Now my MTB has become the favorite bike, rather than my MBK citybike.

I bought two sets of these tires. One set for my Road bike and one set for my wife's road bike. Both bikes are mfg by Trek with Brontrager rims. Both bikes had same tire size 700x25 and were the original tire (we bought both bikes new at the same time). The tires fit nicely with my Trek and they are very nice to ride on. No issues and would highly recommend them, with one condition (read on). The second, exact, set fit on the rims but there is interference with the Fork. I only put about 50 psi air into tire, it's got a 80 psi recommendation, but there is still interference. I have to go to 35 psi to get rid of the interference but this is not recommended, other issues can arise. Her original tires had about 1/4 inch clearance with the fork (at the top of the tire). My bike with these same tires has about 1/2 inch clearance with fork but only about 3/8 inch clearance with brake caliper (it sits lower than fork). Will be returning the set for my wife's bike.

I made two separate purchases of this tire (28-622) from the Warehouse to replace the original tires (28-622) on my 2003 Specialized Sirrus. Although labelled the same size, they are definitely not as big as the tires they replaced and the quality is suspect as they are made in India and the printing on the tire is hard to read. The first tire I put on using Park tire levers and some exertion. The second tire I was able to install by hand by staying calm and using better technique gleaned from a Youtube video! After both tires were on, I went for a 10-mile ride through Manhattan and the Bronx over bumps, cracks, and miscellaneous debris and had no performance issues. Since I don't ride everyday,I hope these tires will last at least 2 years. I f so, I will have gotten my money's worth and the reflective sidewalls are a nice bonus!

I am getting a new bike. The one I have now has probably 10,000 miles and is just a regular hybrid not really designed for long distance touring. It has been a good bike that worked hard but it is time for me to upgrade to a touring bike. That said, due to COVID-19 there delays in the product/distribution of the bike I am getting. So while I wait I needed a new tire to get me through. I usually use Tour/Rides by Conti. They were super expensive and I didn't want to switch to Schwalbe so I took a stop gap tire. This tire. So far so good.Fairly easy to install. Tight like all Conti 's . Once on the bike good ride. Smooth. Some grip around corners, but not as much as I would like. This is very much like a slick that could handle hardpacked sand for short distance. Good for city. give it a try

Installed these on a 2006 Fuji NewestPurchased these to rebuild a bike that I pulled out of shed that had been sitting for years. So far I have about 200 miles on these tires, with very little to no wearThese tires ride so smooth. I ride city streets and rural trails. They perform great on the street and surprisingly well on trails. The tires feel very predictable and I feel confident going from dirt to asphalt and back to dirt. I ride at night as well, which is another reason I purchsed these. Check out the fourth picture. The "white wall" or side wall part of the tire has a reflector built into the tire! I have not seen this feature on other brands. This is a huge plus for night riding.I feel 100% safe on these tires. I will be buying these Continentals again.

I've always hesitated buying these kind of tires for my road bike. But after a slip and fall on my gator skins on some pine needles I decided to give them a try. They are heavier- they do have a little more rolling resistance because of the tread. But at 28 mm the difference is small when compared to the added traction in all situations. I can ride in the rain or after the rain with confidence and control. Another added benefit of the tread is added breaking power. Overall an amazing tire. For the winter these will be my go to for sure or anytime the conditions are less then optimal on the road.

This is my third pair of these tires, in different sizes on different wheels. They are well-made and durable with good traction and ride quality. This most recent pair of 700 by 28 were just absolutely horrible to install. I was putting them on a set Mavic Aksium wheels to use for light trail and gravel. It was like wrestling a stubborn, circular python. Holy cow. I have installed a previous pair on a set of Shimano wheels and don't remember them being so difficult. Anyway, great tires for their purpose but try to pre-stretch them a bit for easier installation.

I just replaced my knobby tires on my old mountain bike with these, as I primarily ride on country roads and a bit of gravel... they are outstanding and I noticed a difference in rolling resistance and speed immediately. Obviously not as much control on gravel as knobby tires, but still able to handle the occasional road. Installation was pretty easy with two tire levers (and this is my first time installing new tires ever.) I've only done 40 miles on these so far, but am loving the speed and efficiency increase. Durability seems OK but time will tell.

perfect for driving on the road, city and road on my way to work. Does not give the feeling of rolling resistance. Mounted on a mountain bike with suspension fork, it is comfortable and reassuring to take the roads in bad condition, cash traps, including some "bike paths" very French ... Heavy certainly, but it only penalizes accelerations, and at contrary favors regular rolling. It allows without problem to drive at 30 km / h. In addition, it is easily mounted on the opposite of a schwalbe he replaces with happiness.

Oversized for 23c roadbike, but fit on 2 different bikes. THICK tire, heavy bead. Very difficult to install, and so far, I haven't been able to take it off to try on the back wheel. Broke tire lever trying to remove. Schwalbe CX Comp bead will go off and on by hand. I have a Conti Tour Ride same size that I hope will not be as difficult to install and remove. As far as the tire, it rides nice, looks good, good grip, not wearing fast on the front of a road bike. I like the reflective sidewall.

These tires aren't too expensive and I have ran over stuff I thought would certainly give me a flat and these tires dont give me any trouble. I ride 11 miles to school through mostly sidewalk and some gravel areas and these hold the road and dont kill my momentum which is a good combo when trying to go a distance. I don't get speed wobbles with these tires. My setup is as follows. I have a basic Next mountain bike and I replaced the tires with these to be more city and distance friendly

I put a pair of these on a 1990 Trek 1200 for my son to ride around town. He is pretty serious rider for a 7th grader and I was looking for a more durable tire. I picked up some Kevlar liners but have decided to try them sans liners first. The lad says they ride nice. They look great. I hope I have to fix a few less flats this way. Time will tell. My only complaint is these were a stiff pain in the backside to mount on these old rims. You need good spoons. Overall I like them.
