We bought this tent as we needed a family tent, one that had decent headroom and other features. This is a seriously large tent, with masses of headroom, so unless you are 6' 6" or taller, it will be great! The footprint of the tent is 6m long x 2.8m wide, with a 2m head height.Feature we liked / disliked++ The Hobbit door, both the wife and the daughter love this feature, it is a little bit fiddly the first few times you use it, as you need to unzip it and slide your hand under the rain flap (which is a good fit) then pull it open. It also has a large water skirt- so unless you are expecting 6" or water or more,it is perfect- just remember to lift your feet!++ Black out bedrooms- these are essential for both me and the wife- nothing like wanting a lie in and the sun is beating down on your tent at 5am.. this feature should be on everyone's want list! It made a massive different for quality of sleep if you want a decent lie in.++ Huge amount of space- one of the main reasons we bought it.If you are taking the family camping, you are going to have some other "stuff" with you- we took 3 chairs, 2 tables, a 66l fridge and a box for "stuff" with us and still had loads of room to move about.++ Large bedrooms - The video reviews of the tent said that they were generous and they really are, we simply took out the divider in the main part and had masses of space for clothes, double mattress and room for changing- brilliant. The "guest" bedroom can easily sleep 2 people(yes REALLY) with room for stuff also. The daughter loved it.This can be moved to the side(and fastened) or removed completely out of the tent for a massive dining / entertainment area(3m x 2.8m) so you would easily be able to seat 6 or even 8 people inside the tent. Which is huge bonus if you camp with friends, etc.++ Pitch timeAs my first air tent, i am quite impressed with it, owning a khyam biker tent for several years it was a lot to measure up to, but the new tent went up quick! We have a basic 6m x 3m ground sheet and stake it down first(highly recommended you buy one to keep the muck off your tent when your roll it up) and this gives us a basic layout where we want to pitch it- and it is very easy to move if you need to.We then staked the tent corners out and pulled them tight, but we did not use the slightly flimsy stakes we got with the tent - instead we use heavy duty stakesPopamazing 50 X Metal Tent Pegs Hard Ground Standing Camping Awning Pegs - Heavy Duty, 25cm x 7mm(L&Dia) (we got 2 sets from Halfords £2.50 each). As they are a lot sturdier and provide masses of pulling strength for when it it windy(remember it is a LARGE tent), then just start pumping it up.So about 10 mins to stake + inflate, and you can use the tent as it is, but guying out takes about the same, which includes "making" the door(2 small folding rods into zip pockets). So a total pitch time of about 20-25 mins, doing it solo, or about 15 mins if you have help.++ front porch. This may seem like a simple thing and it is easily overlooked, but when it is raining you will understand why- it will keep most(if not all) of the rain off you, and you can also use it for when it is too sunny. We used this feature several times when it was windy/ raining and it kept us dry and helped with cooking greatly. You could take a wind break and surround yourself too(we did not)++ 4000mm hydro static headThis is basically how much water is needed to get through the outer of the tent to cause a leak- the larger the number, the better it is.The minimum recommended for the UK is 1500mm. This is where a large cost of the tent is, as the "cheaper tents" have a basic 1500mm head. Check out the numbers & do some research before buying. We also water proofed out with Fabrisol Grangers Fabsil Waterproofer - 5 Litres and it took about 2 liter's of it to do the entire tent. Simply spray on and wipe over with a sponge, and it will dry very quickly on a decent day.- The "cat flap pockets", if like me you have large hands, then sticking the hose into these to reach the valves inflating is slightly fiddly and annoying, but they are essential for pitching the tent- a small niggle but takes it into account. This niggle is off set as you can use the cat flaps for the putting the electric hook up through, as we kept the fridge near the hobbit door. The air valves - as the wife & the daughter both thought they were closed when they were inflating the beams, and popped the hose off- cue 1 deflated beam :)A simple check to to run you finger over the valve, if it "feels in" then the valve is OPEN(to deflate) if it is "out" and feels flush, then is it CLOSED, a very important lesson, as there is nothing like trying to inflate a beam more than 2-3 times, and explaining this a few times..in the hot sun!Just make sure you have a cold drink at hand when you are doing this...-- The weight/ size of the tent in the bag!Dear god this thing is HUGE, the bag with the tent bits and pieces & the groundsheet and heavy duty pegs it weighs close to 30kg(just over 5 stone) and it is basically 2 foot round, and 3 foot tall.Take this into account when buying as we have a fairly large 4x4 and the tent bag+ fridge basically filled the boot(yes we stacked stuff around it too). Make sure your car is big enough and you are fit enough to do some heavy lifting :)That said, we just used folding sack barrow to transport it to and from the car, by simply sliding it under the compression straps on the tent bag, tighten and wheel it to where we wanted it to.Silverline 633565 Folding Sack Truck, 70 kg Makes your life a LOT easier, more so if you have carry the huge bag anywhere.Overall we as a family love the tent, and it will be brilliant for when we go camping with friends.

This Valdes is a dream. You simply roll down the duffel bag, spread out the tent and peg its corners down and then inflate the four air arches which create the shape and structure of the tent, first time we pitched it took 15 minutes including final pegging out - and it was so easy.Just so you know - each valve has a centre button which when pushed once keeps the valve open for letting the air out, and then when pushed again closes on a spring, so that air can go in but not out.10 minutes later the tent is up, with the sewn-in ground sheet tensioned and three rooms already pre-hung in the back of the tent. You will need a few extra minutes to insert the three poles though. Two of them are for the handy hinging front door, which although not essential for access - you could use one of the two huge zippered side panels - does make for a very civilised and convenient entrance for the tent without loads of tedious (not to mention noisy) zipping and unzipping. The third pole is a must though, as it forms the porch at the front of the Valdes which needs to be kept in tension for the roof to remain taut and stop water pooling on top.Inside all three room have their own full height zipper doors, the top third of each housing a separate zipped panel which can be opened to increase ventilation while still leaving a mosquito netting panel in place. If you only need two rooms, the fabric panel between the middle room and the one on the left can be folded away.In fact all the rooms are made from a breathable polyester fabric which despite being breathable claims to block out 99 percent of daylight - great for those who like to sleep in absolute darkness and for giving you the best possible chance of a lie-in.The living space is simply wonderful, with a huge main 'living room' created and good head clearance throughout, even for me a just over 6ft It's a nice place to relax too, with loads of light coming in from the two huge, clear side panels and two front windows, even without the big side panels opened and tied back. All said, I found this a wonderfully faff-free camping solution for groups and family at a price that didn't stretch the bank.Only minor flaw was that the bag was a bit heavy for one but easy to carry for 2.

I previously owned the Berghaus Air 4, while I loved the tent, I purchased the Valdes Air 4 simply because of the black out bedrooms. I am not sure whether it is 4 degrees cooler during the hot Australia sun as its hot in there anyway, but the black out bedrooms were terrific on campsite with bright lights at night. In the morning, there was some light bleed in the sides but it was dark enough to allow you to sleep and a pleasure it was.The pump mechanism and air poles appear to be the same brand and quality as my old Berghaus tent. I think the overall quality of the Berghaus was just a little better but it so tiny it makes little difference. This does not have a electric cable specific hole like the Berghaus did,you have to feed the cable in through the rear air poles access, which isn’t ideal and awkward, where the Berghaus a dedicated electric cable hole for it.Size is great for us, two adults and a child, and the door feature is handy and works well.It packs away as easily as the Berghaus but the Berghaus quality of the bag and the fact it has wheels is hands down better than that Valdes. It will be interesting to see how the bag performs long term.I am not sure how it will cope with winds head on as the canopy seems like it will catch the wind where the Berghaus is shaped to push the wind over. Fortunately, I have not had to test that yet. The larger Valdes range will cope better I think.Overall, we are really happy with it. The black out bedrooms are terrific, overall quality good, even if the bag could be better.Seriously recommend this tent for any car camping trip.

We have bought the 6L and it's AMAZING! It really ticks all the boxes.- The black out bedrooms were a major selling point for us, as we have 2 small children. The bedrooms are perfect. Dark enough for the kids to go to bed without any fuss and are definitely dark enough for them to sleep until 8 am (which they don't do at home!). You can still see around you in the morning, but it gives you enough darkness to not be disturbed by a 4.30 am sunrise.- The inflatable beams have worked really well for us as well, we inflate them between 6 and 6.5 psi and have had no issues. But we check every day to make sure they aren't expanding. -- The tent is robust, didn't move even in the middle of a night storm and we stayed nice and dry.- You can feel the quality and it is so easy to set up. My husband has missed some of our camping trips and it hasn't been a problem at all, as I know I can set it up on my own super quickly!- The door is very cool too, it's nice not having to zip/unzip constantly.- The tent is bright inside as it has lots of big windows.I just wish the porch was bigger but besides that, we haven't found a flaw yet, even after a few weekend trips. We have also now figured out of a very easy way to fold it back :1. Fold in half lengthways2. Fold sideways (using the bag's width as a comparison)3. Finally, roll and pack.- The bag is roomy enough to fit everything in, including the footprint which we bought separately (just a generic 6m x 3m tarpaulin). We are very very pleased with our purchase! Well done Coleman for designing such a brilliant piece of kit!

Over the years I have kept a close eye on developments in the outdoor world. Being a mountain leader and outdoor instructor I am naturally drawn to shiny innovative products which are light and fast. However since becoming a parent, family camping has played a big part in my outdoor life. My Coleman Galileo 4 has served me and my family well for many years, however we wanted an upgrade. I have kept my eye on the inflatable pole system with tents and have always been very sceptical, "how could it possibly stand up to wind?" "surely they will pop!" were thoughts that sprung to mind. After a serious amount of research, I decided to bite the bullet and give one of these 'inflatable tents' a go....I am glad I did, all of my doubts have been put to rest, this system is fantastic. The speed in which you can erect a tent is phenomenal, with very little effort we had this tent upon packed and pitched with a brew on.What about the inflatable poles and wind bit?... Due to the structure and design of these poles, it gives the tent shape and most importantly strength against the elements. The tent is a great size for sleeping and socialising, without being under each other’s feet, the blackout bedrooms are a great feature that I will never do without now.If you are in the market for a new car camping tent, this has to be a contender, I am very fussy and critical of my products but this has exceeded expectations, well done Coleman.

I just bought Valdes 6 FastPitch tent, and I've been testing it for a few days now in my garden, so I'd like to share my first thoughts / impressions about it.First of all, description on Amazon contains mistakes, which are misleading.I'd like to notice once again this is all about Valdes 6, which is not shown on Amazon's product gallery (not Valdes 6L or 6XL).1. The be precise, there are actually 2 bedrooms - the bigger one has just an easily removable divider, which does not guarantee any privacy.2. Valdes 6 does not have the hinged door.3. Only the bigger bedroom is made in Blackout technology - the second (2 person) is standard bedroom !If the description was true,I'd give it 5 stars for now.Tent itself is really FastPitch !Very spacious, well made (in China), well packed. The blackout bedroom is great - I had to wake my daughters up at 9AM, where usually at 7AM they are already active. I regret the second bedroom is standard one - didn't know that. The tent seems to be made with different fabrics; one of them seems to be more water repellent, the another one to be more wicking - which can be seen on photos attached.Pictures were taken in the morning after a few hour light rain at night.I will add some more information in time.Generally great buy.

We bought this tent as we had seen another family with an inflatable tent on our last trip and it seemed so much easier to put up, it was! It is so easy to do and takes no time at all which is great, particularly if the weather is bad. We are a family of 4 and just need to use the black out bedrooms with divider so that the 2nd bedroom could be removed and the living area expanded. We managed to fit a picnic table with benches and 2 chairs inside the tent and there was still bags of room for the kids to play.We bought some folding picnic blankets and use these as carpet so that the tent floor does not get damaged and we will be investing in a ground sheet so that the bottom of the tent staysdry. The 1st time we used the tent it took us a while to pack away but we now have a method that works and it only takes 5 minutes.I would highly recommend this tent if, like me, you like camping but not all the work that comes with it. It is a simple solution but remains practical and I would recommend this tent to any family that camps regularly.

I really like this tent. There is enough room in the bedrooms for double inflatable beds. The third room was used for storage but probably comfortable for sleeping but not standing up in. The tent felt sturdy and well made with plenty of guy ropes for stabilityMy only bug bear was that the doors.1)They design lets it down and they couldn't keep out the Scottish midges. The insect net is on the inside of the door so on a hot evening the outer door is open. You then have to open the insect netting to close the outer door so the tent fills with midges. It would be better if there was one zip to open/close the whole door2) The stoppers on the zips on the doors are an irritation as you have two zips to fiddle with on the net door and then another zip on the outer door. This wouldn't really be a huge problem until you try and get in and out of the tent quickly because of midges. As I say I really like the tent as a whole and would recomend it but probably not for frequent camping in Scotland.

Brilliant tent (this is the 6L version). I really cannot fault it so far. We've been camping 3 times in it, in a complete mix of weather - from blazing sun to pouring rain and high winds - and its coped with everything easily. Inflate the 5 air poles to around 7.5 mb and you won't go wrong, even in hot sun. It's hugely specious (especially when you take out the spare bedroom, as we do). The hinged door is a brilliant idea, and works very well. Far better than a standard zipped door, as it's easier to open and close (though of course you still zip it up to close it fully). But by far the best feature is the blackout bedrooms. Everyone gets far more sleep than on a normal camping trip.We couldn't do without it now! Finally, we've had no problems packing the tent away. Just take a few photos of different stages as you first unpack it, and then follow them carefully in reverse, obviously enduring you have fully deflated the air poles.

Bought this tent (6XL) last year, use it twice already and don't regret it a bit, I inflated to around 7,3 psi and no problem at all, very sturdy and holds the wind very well, no problem with pump either so don't see a point to buy another one as someone mentioned before ... overall great, big, quality tent and looks lovely on the campsite:) blackout bedrooms gives you and your children extra time to sleep. The bag is quite big but once pitched up you will not regret it.

We were looking tents for a long time, for 4 persons and our dog. This tent is perfect for weekends or long time, very confortable, It has all the details well thought out and of good quality. We like more this 2017 modelo thank 2018, with small canopy. I only miss one handle to close the door from inside. perfect amazon, we got a tent with small defect and they changed it without problem from UK to Spain. I recomended this tent, easy to assemble and dissasemble.

Amazing tent, goes up and down in minutes. Would highly recommend. A friend of mine went out and immediately bought the same tent after he saw me put this up one rainy weekend (he already had an air blade tent from another brand).Have used this numerous times this season and not had any issues with it whatsoever. Just make sure you follow the instructions on inflation so that you don't over inflate.I'll never go back to a standard tent after this.

I bought in September 2018.What I looked at was a dark blue with extended front. What arrived was a lime green, no extension from pics.I have not unpacked as not sure if I will use or sell on.I paid 650 pound's and see price has increased so I will probably sell at around 800.Great reviews, mine still in bag stored inside house.Selling because I now want a Vento 8 bed with extension for Grandkids.

Was persuaded to get one of these after seeing how much easier it was for friends who had them to get setup and start enjoying themselves when they got to the campsite. Absolutely love how quickly and easily it goes up and it being easy to do single handed makes a big difference. Black out is also brilliant with young children.
