I ordered the "Leaves" color which is displayed as solid green but is in fact blue with green leaves on it. This would be ok but it is also not ripstop fabric although the product description says that it is; and it does not open on the side, which I had read elsewhere that it does.If you buy "Leaves" be aware you're getting leaf print fabric in blue and green. If you buy "Leaves" be aware the fabric is not ripstop but is solid silk. This liner is completely closed down both sides and on bottom, not as easy to get in/out of as are the ones that have a side opening. My review reflects that I believe this to be a solid product but I'm returning it because it is not what I anticipated based on thedescription and photo.

I've bought three of these now. They are washable, durable, optional and let us adjust our sleeping gear up and down temperature range to match the weather and the person.I think these are must have items just because it's such a problem to wash sleeping bags and honesty for an expensive sleeping bag it's just not worth washing them.We first bought one of these to take summer camping for the person who gets cold easy and it stuffs down to the size of a pop can so if doesn't get used (it did) that's fine.We feel the 10F additional degrees is probably accurate.By the way, the price these things jumps around a LOT so it pays to watch for that $10 down shift and time your purchase.

I haven't seen nearly enough reviews from backpackers, so maybe this may help. If your like me and spent nearly five hundred bucks on.a 900 fill down sleeping bag, the last thing you want to do is compromise the down by putting it through a washing machine (even though you can). The cocoon silk mummy liner completes the feel of a good marmot plasma, since the silk and down complement each other so well, you almost forget you are camping is 20 degree weather... Yes, it adds a few ounces to your ruck, BUT, no more sticky nylon against your leg if you sweat, and especially after a long day with 50 lbs of hiking, the most heavenly sleep you will ever have.

I have an old Coleman sleeping bag which I think is actually colder sleeping inside of it. Anyway, I bought this Silk mummy bag and the Sea to Summit Reactor Extreme to work in tandem with my old sleeping (is that then trandem when its three?) bag and so instead of spending many hundreds of dollars on a new sleeping bag I spent 100 dollars for both the silk and reactor bags. Worked great, I stay nice and warm in about 30ish weather in my hammock out in the woods, but I’m also wearing a bit of clothes, maybe either my silk or wool long underwear. Is that now Quondam? Whew, well all in all a well-made and warm product which is exactly what I wanted.

This definitely makes a difference for comfort and therefore it must for survival. The biggest plus is its a layer between you and the bag that is super easy to clean. Get one for hygiene, without a doubt, maybe get a thicker one for making your sleeping bag more comfortable in the cold.I have a 0 degree bag from the late 90's that I use with this and it keeps me warm in 32 and below even with the reduced warmth of an old bag. If you're a casual camper or avid outdoors person you're probably going to benefit from this and if you're doing such intensely cold camping you're probably not the person who is reading amazon reviews anyways. Get it!

I took one of these Silk Mummy Liners with me during a bicycle tour to Iceland for some extra warmth in my sleeping bag at night as I camped out. I long debated about whether I needed a liner for my sleeping bag. In the end, I am very glad to have brought this along with me. It ways very little, feels amazing on skin, and provides a nice bit of extra warmth, and there were a couple of nights I really needed it. In the summer, when the whether is warm, this would make for a nice, ultralight sleeping bag. This is an excellent product of great quality. The only drawback is its price. It is a little spendy in my opinion, but top notch.

Great product. It's soft and I fit perfectly in it (6'4, 190lbs). However, I struggle rolling it back up. I wish the pouch that is included with it would be a little bigger. This liner will give you about 3-5F extra heat while sleeping.Update: I went and traveled the Pacific for 2 months using this liner. I found it to be great in hostels when you don't know when the sheets were last cleaned and it protected me against bed bugs that I only found out about the next day. The string at the top is very convenient when you're sleeping outside and it's windy because it allows you to be completely covered - even your head.

I took this on a below-freezing camping trip (it only dropped to around 29ish that night though), expecting that it would warm my bag up a little. It worked better than I thought it would, but my bag was just not up to the temps. I was in a mummy bag with only my face exposed, but pulling the silk cloth up over my face cut the cold off my face immediatly and I could still breath well. I was cold because of my bag, but I could still tell a difference between using the silk and not using it. It really does add some warmth, which kind of amazed me since it's so thin. I would buy this again.

Excellent product, purchased it on amazon because it was a better deal than REI. Have had it for over a year and no problems. It adds about 10 degrees of heat to my sleeping bag and the adjustable draw string at the head is effective and helps the liner stay in place on your body pretty well…once you are situated that is :) I find that when I turn/roll over the liner moves with me, which helps me not get tangled up (I tend to rotisserie when I sleep). I wash and dry it with the rest of my laundry (permanent press) and it has held up well. Definitely recommend this product.

I just took this mummyliner on a week long bike ride to Iowa, and did not take a sleeping bag. It was astoundingly effective at keeping me warm on cold days and cool on hot days. I like the fact that is it like a pillow case - you won't throw it off while sleeping unless you wake up to do that. It allows for privacy. And it does go back in to it's storage bag very easily. The fact that this sheet can go in to a case that is smaller than a bratwurst is neat enough to warrant a purchase right there. I don't give a lot of 5 stars but this is one. Love it!

Pretty Durable, Comfy, Used it on top of my Silk Sheets when I don't feel like making my bed in the morning. Wish it was a bit more roomy on the bottom leg part but it's all good. I highly recommend. Luv the color. Washed by hand in cold water with LeBlanc Silk Wash and hung dry and it's still same comfy feeling when i used it Very Pretty Unique Color Luv it. Will use it when I spend the night at friends or families beds or with my sleeping bag as a liner if sleeping on floors, carpets after partying or for camping or on hotels less than 5Stars

Great sleep sack for travelling and stating in guesthouses or hostels in really hot countries. I used it in India every day for a month and a half and it was great at keeping you cool when it was hot. But I brought it to South America too and never used it because there was air conditioning everywhere. So if you'll have A/C it's not necessary. But its primary purpose is a sleeping bag liner, which of course extends the life of your bag (because you wash the bag so much less if you use a liner. So of course this is great for that purpose too.

I purchased several liners recently, and I found this one to be the best of the ones I tried. It feels great against the skin being silk, it compacts to a very small package, which is important for backpackers, and it is lightweight.I didn't really care about the color (other than white), and went with the blue since it was cheaper.I've used this on several Boy Scout campouts, and it really came in handy recently to keep me warm in my 40 degree sleeping bag even though it dropped down to the low 30's this month!

Bought these to add a bit of warmth for our three season, 40F rated down bags. I figure it gives you about 5 degrees more of comfort in your bag in cold conditions, but it, (and other liners), are not going to give, 10, 15, 20 degrees of comfort in cold weather, not even close. But they do add some warmth and are worth it just to keep your bag clean. I looked at a lot of liners before buying this and liked that it was made of silk and that claims of its effectiveness for adding warmth were not unduly exaggerated.

I absolutely love this liner. I spent quite a bit on my mummy sleeping bag so it only made sense to buy a nice light weight liner. I'm glad i went with the silk from the start bc its like sleeping in heaven. This works very well during the summer bc it may be too hot at night and all you wanna do is have your liner around you kinda like a sheet. The best part is this is super light weight and perfect for backpacking. Yes its a little expensive but you pay for what you get in life.
