As the proud owner of all three kidsleep day/night clocks (the blue, the pink and now the green) I can thoroughly recommend them to any parent who needs a means of trying to cajole their children into staying in bed at night or a few minutes longer into the morning. All three work on the basic premise that the parent sets the actual time and then the wake up time. It will switch to night time automatically but you can flick the switch to off and back to either night time, or alarm, to force it into night mode. When it reaches the wake up time the clock will switch the light to the top half with the awake bunny, cow or sheep and play a small tune before launching into full cock-a-doodle-do!Start small and gradually shift the wake up time. The build quality isn't going take a lot of small child bashing but my oldest (7) has now swapped to a 'real' clock so the blue version has lasted 5 good years of being knocked off shelves and the wire being tripped over and has now gone to a friend for their son. For both the blue & pink versions we just took care to find a suitable spot near a plug socket and to secure the wire. We have recently bought the green travel version for child no.3 (2 yrs old) and it has already taken a few knocks happily with the added benefit of not having a wire for small hands to pull on.The switches on the blue & pink versions are easily accessible and despite small fingers we have only had a few occasions where the times have been changed. The green one having the time and buttons on the rear is a good design move but as other reviewers have said a cover would make sense given that you rarely want to change the times (BST excepted).A few people have mentioned the bulbs going and I have now replaced the bulbs quite a few times easily and painlessly with either my local hardware store or Maplin being able to supply an equivalent (although the Maplin one was brighter than the original). The bottom bulb is particularly prone to popping if the clock is dropped as it is fitted upside down inside so works loose if knocked. All three are good little clocks and have given us many more hours of much needed sleep... something that any parent can't have too much of... zzzzzzzzzzzzz

I bought this for my daughter when she was about 18months and it was great, she very quickly learned when she could get up. Then my son came along and we got another one for my daughter in pink and my son had his as a night light. he started waking up early so at about 18months old he started to learn about the bunny and since then he does not make a peep until we get "up up bunny here" shouted at full volume at 7:45am. My daughter is now 4 and still likes to have her "morning cow" but she now uses the clock on it to know that she can read a book but stays in bed, until the cow gets up. I even bought the travel version (battery operated)for nights away or at grandparents.I have not had any issues with either of mine and I have had one for about 3 years now. I have also ordered the spare bulbs from the details on the back but I have only had to change them once in each clock. They are expensive but well worth the money for that little bit of extra sleep in the morning.....the kids are less grumpy too as they are still resting.

Just thought I would add to the comments here. The Kidsleep that we bought has been a spectacular success. My son was just over 2 years old when we bought the Kidsleep and he was getting out of bed at 4.30 ish and coming into bed with us - noone was getting much sleep.A good friend recommended we try the Kidsleep as it had worked wonders with her daughter - I was dubious but thought it worth a go.Within a week of getting the Kidsleep our son was getting up once the bunny got up with a cry of 'the rabbit is awake - time to get up' - he now constantly wakes up with the bunny at 7am.I noticed that some of the reviewers said that the bulbs were hard to get hold of - i mentioned this to my friend whosaid she managed to get some spare ones from the helpline on the back of products packaging - this goes straight to the Uk distributors - I believe that they are arf-kids.All in all a wonderful product that I would heartily recommend - it got us a couple of hours more sleep in bed in the mornings..does what it says on the tin!

Positives:* Clear display of sleeping / awake bunny for your child to understand* Easy to set clock / alarm* Choice of displays* Audible alarm function* 2 spare bulbs included (Spares from Maplins - MES Tubular R10 6.5v)Negatives:* Clock resets if unplugged - why is there no battery backup for the clock?* Overpriced given the build qualityWe've used this successfully with our little boy and cannot state how wonderful and easy to use this clock is. Sure, it's a pain if you move it between rooms/houses as you have to reset the time (there is another portable version available), but overall it works brilliantly (as long as you remember to set it each night!).We've had none of the quality issues described by others and changing the bulb was no problem either.Overall, if you can't get your child to lie in each morning, try this clock and just set the alarm 5 minutes later every few days and you'll quickly get your mornings back.

Having a toddler who wouldn't sleep is crippling, as I'm sure you know if you are reading this. Thanks almost entirely to this clock we now get up at 7am not 5.30am which is why it gets a good rating. The concept is simple and our son loves it. Several months down the line I still get woken up at 7 by my son going "It's morning time, Mr Bunny is awake- come and see!".Sadly it is flawed:1) Build quality: It is fairly cheap plastic with noisy clunky buttons so the child always knows when you are fiddling. We are on our second as the first broke after a couple of months.2) Buttons: noisy and too obvious so my son tries to play with them (to be fair he can't get the time to change so far)3)Power: Instantly resets if unplugged (easy for your child to do at the back)I would seriously consider the battery powered travel version if I bought this again.Overall: Overpriced and flawed but easily the best purchase I've made this year!

I don't normally write reviews, but after reading the negative ones for this clock I feel I should write. We have had this clock for probably about 4years now and have never been disappointed. It really helped our little girl with her waking time and she still uses it to this day. The light is muted and doesn't keep her awake and it can either be set for just the lights to operate or with a bird and cockerel chorus for heavier sleepers! She loves her clock and it even comes on holiday with us. If there is a power cut or you wish to move the clock from room to room, the clock will keep operating when unplugged for a length of time so that you do not have to go through the palaver of having to reset it.In fact the clock is so good,we are buying 2 more for our other children.........I must just assume that those who have left negative reviews, were just unfortunate to get a dud........it can happen with anything.

I bought this for our 4yr old, I didn't actually purchase it from Amazon, but just wanted to say how fantastic it is. My 4yr old was waking at 4.30am every morning thinking it was time to get up!! Since buying this bunny alarm he's stayed in bed till the alarm goes of at 6.30am, so were all getting more sleep. A little bit pricey for what it is, but I didn't mind cause it actually works wonders. The only thing is when you turn it off, then put it back on you have reset the timer everytime and the alarm. If you leave it on the plug gets hot so needs turning of, but other than that would definately recomend to anyone not having enough sleep.

We brought this clock as a last reort for our 20 month old as he constantly woke up screaming at 5am, although we thought he would be too young for it he soon cottoned on to the principle of its ok to get up when bunny wakes up. It only took three nights and he soon got the idea. the first three nights we got up showed him bunny was still asleep and put him back to bed, he did get up a couple of times but we left him until we knew bunny was awake and then went in with smiles about bunny being awake. He is now sleeping from 7pm to 6.30 every day and waking up in a great mood showing bunny to mummy and daddy! Would definitly recommend.

This clock has changed early mornings forever! We no longer have to rise at 5.15am which is a miracle. Thanks to the 'bunny clock' as my daughter calls it. She has learnt that we get up when bunny gets up. She is only just two but has grasped the concept conpletely. The only drawback is that the timer is a bit on the cheap side. It doesn't retain the time or setting when the power is disconnected so you have to make sure nobody has unplugged it to hoover!

We got one of these for our daughter who is 2 & began waking VERY early. Once I had finally figured out how to set the thing up, it worked a treat. The nightlight gives a nice soft glow which you can adjust to suit. She is now calls out when the 'cow is up' and is so happy, dancing around her room saying 'good morning'.. I would recommend this product however it's a bit of a fiddle to work out how to set the times initially..

I purchased this after using the cheaper rabbit clock which took a tumble off the shelf and no longer worked! Im really impressed with this product althou it will take some perseverance on my part for my daughter to understand the concept as its not so visual and fun as the rabbit clock. Item was well packaged and arrived quickly

I had hoped this would cure my early rising children! Alas not! It has helped them to understand that they are not to be up and about until bunny wakes up and they love the alarm clock on school days but we haven't been able to get them to stay asleep any longer! A nice clock, pricey for what it is though!

This is a great product. I agree with some of the other comments that it is rather cheaply made, but it has been worth every penny with my two and a half year old, who stays in bed until the rabbit gets up then shrieks "Bunny's awake mummy!". Genius item, a must for any parent who is not a morning person.

this alarm clock changed our lives! With two little ones (2 years old 1/2 and 1) who used to wake up at 5 in the morning,we explained that the day start when the little rabbit is up, and now everyone sleeps until 7,Thank you little rabbit, I love you!

Is a great little device for kids to start getting a sense of time. The disappointment was that it had come from abroad so the extension lead had a european 2 pin plug which wasn't great when she wanted it plugged in on Christmas Day!!!!!
