These are pretty great in my opinion. They fly well, and the dogs love them. I have 2 hard mouthed dobermans and this is the toy of choice.. after the chuck it ultra ball of course. But the ultra ball as any ball, will sink into the snow and become lost til spring , so these are the winter toy of choice. They will go for any of the flying toys, but I like the soft cloth of this toy, and the foam edge is nice. It is way easier on the mouth than the hard frisbees. That said, they only last me a month of EVERY DAY use. I use these for about an hour 2x a day with my dogs every day, no exceptions. My girls are working dogs and have plenty of drive and absolutely go nuts for these.they come in 2 sizes but I like the small size , even for my big dogs. IT doesn't seem to make a difference to them what size I use , cause I have both . This toy does get wet with saliva and mud, but I am the only one that seems to bother. They seem to bog down a bit when really wet and muddy of course. They can be rinsed off easily and dry quickly. You can use this small one in the house for quick exercise if you need to ..it is so light it wont' hurt anything it hits, but watch out for what the dog will hit while chasing it.... I used to use the flying squirrel , but my dogs take the corners off them during the first couple throws, and they do not fly well without their corners. I absolutely love the squirrels, but they just are to expensive to keep replacing. If you have a real chewer that eats every frisbee toy you might try the 'chewber'. It is guarenteed indestructable when used properly, meaning don't leave it with the dog when you are not there... that said, it still lasts forever.. IT is real rubber, doesn't hurt the mouth, but is much heavier than these. Chewber isn't the best for flyte but it does go pretty darn well.. and if you have a hard chewer it will last forever..I have the chewber for when the paraflight finally gives up the ghost. Until I can buy a new paraflight. I also like the chewber cause it stays relatively clean during use and does not absorb saliva and dirt. and have had the same one for 5 yrs...it is still going strong. If you havent' got a dog that rips every toy to shreds the chuck it small paraflight is great. I also like the big ones, but the big ones are a little unwieldy when soaking wet.

I bought the Hyperpet, Chuckit, and the Cosmic frisbees for my 45 lb dog. Who likes to chew. And I do not practice "toy discipline." All 3 are durable, can't say what the limits are yet. She has destroyed other frisbees with ease. The Hyperpet is the best for throwing in light wind. It seems to inflate quite a bit as it spins, it's a bit unusual. I think this gives it extra hang time. In strong wind, this is a minus. Its texture most appeals to my dog. The Chuckit is much better in stronger wind. It's a heavier disc and doesn't inflate as much. I can throw it farther. It has a waterproof coating which my dog has chewed away after maybe 8 hours of use?. I'm assuming that this is something that is nontoxic-it could be silicone, which can be non-toxic. This was good in the beginning because they all get soaked from drool without such a coating, making the Chuckit nicer to throw. The Cosmic is the most floppy of the 3, and is the least good for throwing. But it is still good for throwing, and it has brought many hours of fun for my dog. The Cosmic is perhaps the gentlest on my dog's mouth, and she loves it as a tugging toy. Once again, I don't do "toy discipline." She has torn holes in the Cosmic, it doesn't fly as well now. But she loves it still. I also got a ring throwing device that she destroyed in ten minutes when I didn't notice she had it. That shall remain unnamed. I recommend the Hyperpet, Chuckit, and Cosmic discs.Update: after 3 months, the Chuckit disc is dead, with holes along its perimeter making it not flyable. The Hyperpet is still going strong, despite its seemingly less durable construction; I still like throwing it, and I can throw it more precisely than the Chuckit (the other family members cannot throw it as well as I can, but I played a lot of Ultimate years ago.) But the other family members prefer the Chuckit because of how well it works in heavy wind, and so it gets more use. I'm buying another Chuckit, seeing as my dog loves playing frisbee with it. The dog plays frisbee almost every day, sometimes for over an hour a day, so that's $0.10 to $0.25/day.

I've been buying these for my Border Collies for years because once you have had to pay for dog dental work made necessary by a hard plastic flying disc, you won't quibble about the price of these. There have been comments about durability. First of all, these are not chewing toys. They won't last but minutes if they are used as a chew toy. The disc in the picture was bought at the end of May and I have retired it today near the end of August. It could have gone another couple of weeks by trimming some of the soft plastic that forms the outer ring but 3 months is pretty good.My Border Collies get trained on these for 10 to 15 minutes once every two to three days. The discs fly amazingly well with a good tail or quartering wind and the dogs get a good high speed workout. The damage comes from the violent Terrier like rat killing shake that Border Collies give it once the disc has been caught. But the dogs are trained never to out and out chew them.Because they are made of fabric they perform well, and safely, for the dog through the winter. Minus 20 celsius is not uncommon where we live.Years ago these same discs used to have a hard transparent tube forming the outer ring. That ring would inevitably come apart and no amount of gluing would hold it together. The disc was pretty useless at that point. Because that ring is now made of a soft foam like substance, bits that come out through the edging from normal use can be trimmed off and the disc can continue flying, with substantial amounts of it removed.I don't mind spending $10 or so dollars for three months of use per dog if it means I can avoid the crippling cost of dog dental work. And as I said, this is a really well flying disc that helps greatly with herding training.

I have a young female lab retriever/akita mix who LOVES to play frisbee. She is a bit aggressive with her frisbees, so we've been through several brands and styles. For perspective, she loves to catch her frisbee in the air, chew it, shake it, and tug-of-war with it. These frisbees seem to hold up well to her shenanigans. We tried the plastic frisbees, but they usually shattered quickly and I was worried she would hurt herself on the plastic shards. We tried one of the big name rubber ones, and while it is very durable and chew-able, it was also too heavy to loft for her to catch in the air. This frisbee finds a brilliant balance between durability and "play-ability"! The canvas and foam combination is chewable, bendable and catchable, which is perfect for my goofy frisbee lover.Although they will not last forever, I find that I get a good run for the money on them. By buying these as an add-on item through Amazon, I was able to get 4 of them for the price of one at my local pet store! One thing we have found is that you can wash the frisbee in the washing machine, but it's better to use a delicate cycle. We found that the threads started to separate from the foam when washed more aggressively. And, of course, air dry it.I have included a few pictures of the product after a few round of play, including a sleepy pup with her frisbee!

The cheap plastic frisbees from the pet food store lasted all of a day with my dog, sometimes less (as did the more expensive plastic frisbees). He loves playing though, so I kept buying, to the tune of about 10 per month. They would get harder and harder to throw as he bit the edges, and would cut or blister my fingers after a while, and overall they were a pretty crappy experience.I finally decided to give this a try, and it has lasted great. It floats, which was a requirement, since we have a pond that he likes to 'wash' his frisbees in when they get too muddy. I did find that you need to throw these a bit lighter, since otherwise the dog cannot keep up and catch it on the fly,but once I got used to throwing it differently, I found that his percentage of catches increased. He is super happy about that, and I am super happy to not be constantly running out of frisbees, or messing up my fingers on the rough edges of a partially chewed disk. I got the Large size for a german shepherd.

I have an Australian Cattle Dog and Border Collie Mix so we go through frisbees like water!! If you’re looking for a durable frisbee—this ain’t it. It is lightweight and throws FAR which is great, but if you have a tough chewer like I do, you might want to consider a rubber-made frisbee (I have 2 and they are great!!). However, I keep re-purchasing this specific frisbee because yes my pup destroys them after 3-5 days, but it throws FAR easily, fly’s fast, and is easy to see in a large field due to the color. Another thing to consider is the price: it’s great! I go to all pet stores to see which products my pup likes the most in person and I price check the ones she likes on Amazon and I end up saving $3-8/toy!!!This is the best price for this name brand frisbee across all retail outlets! I hope this review was helpful :)

I bought this for a miniature labradoodle (medium-size dog) who loves to chase and catch, but who also has a "soft mouth" -- she much prefers pliable stuff in her mouth than something hard like a plastic Frisbee. And she is brutal on her toys when she loves them. This flying disk has a nylon center that helps it fly a good distance with a gripping ring on the outside. She can easily catch this and whip it from side to side in her mouth. It's also good for tug of war. Because we use it primarily for playing dog-and-human (that is, she doesn't play with it by herself), it has proven to be durable, up to a point. Since this is her second Paraflight,I know that she'll eventually rip the nylon center with her teeth -- it will still fly -- but that it will take a long time to get there.-- Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Our dog goes crazy over these flying discs. I prefer these types over the hard plastic ones, these are much safer for the dog. I have tried several types and sizes the last couple of months and they all worked very well. My favorite is still the 10" Floppy Disc, but that might be because I have used it more than the others. This particular one seemed a little lighter and had some significant hang time. Maybe with more practice this will become my new favorite. I have tried the ChuckIt listed here, the Floppy Disc, and the Tail Spin. I've also tried different sizes, 10" and 12". Right now I prefer the 10" Floppy Disc the best, then the 10" Tail Spin. We're talking small preference though, like 4.8,4.9, and 5.0 ratings. As far as the size, I like the 10" disk better as it seems easier to throw consistently.

We have owned this for about 1.5 months now. It’s still in good shape although it has lightly stained from pretty heavy use in pool and on grassy/dirt surfaces. One small tooth puncture hole in the fabric which has not affected flight stability at all and has not worsened over time. This is our 2-year old yellow labs favorite frisbee! Floats in water and flies nicely wet or dry. Sturdy construction for a frisbee but NOT a chew toy; watch your puppies with it to ensure they use it appropriately. I like the float-rim which makes it easier for our dog to catch and pick up—even from a hard, flat surface, and easier for me to throw too (my husband’s the expert frisbee thrower). We have all had such fun together. Thanks for making such an excellent dog-friendly frisbee for our family!

My 1 yr old Border Collie has been properly trained to ONLY catch frisbees and then return them to me instantly.... there is no chewing, no playing tug, nothing but catch and return. It is NOT a toy to him. He knows the rules and follows them at all times. Thus all our frisbees last much longer than those used by most others who don't follow these rules. No, I don't need two frisbees to make him drop one, he puts it right in my hand and releases it, No I don't have to "hide it" when we are done, he won't touch it or even look at it until I tell him to get it next time.We play catch 30-60 mins/day and these frisbees last as well as can be expected. They fly just fine wet or dry for this style, hard plastic will always fly better but not as safe for your dog's mouth and teeth.

This frisbee has simultaneously made our lives better and worse. My three-year-old pit mix is obsessed with this frisbee, and now I only get limited time to rest before she runs up to me with this thing in her mouth, and forces it into my hand. She's always loved frisbees, but she demolishes hard ones and foam ones within minutes. This one gets heavily used every day: Fetch, tug-of-war, water, and sometimes she even likes to stomp it into the mud. It's held up to her antics pretty well, though she isn't an aggressive puller. There are a few tooth holes in the fabric, unsurprisingly, but that's expected with anything made for dogs to put in their mouths. It's lightweight, flies smoothly, and is easy to catch. This gets Paisley's seal of approval. A+

I debate between 4 and 5 stars. Five stars for being durable and easy to use. The thing flys pretty far which is nice with a large, energetic dog. It's also easy to throw it too far and see it fly right over the fence at the dog park. We've had it for a couple of months now and aside from being dirty, it's in great shape. Four stars because maybe it's a little too lightweight? We live in a very windy place and definitely have to be careful about how we throw the frisbee. It really catches the wind and will either be taken much further than we want or it simply can't cut through the wind. This frisbee is one of her two favorite toys though, and the fact that it didn't cost a lot and has lasted longer than her other toys,I'll keep it at five stars.

I have two dogs. Heavy chewers, very high energy...one that likes to fetch and the other one only likes to chase his brother while fetching. They went bananas for these frisbees. Taught themselves to jump catch. Both of them fetch now. They tug between themselves sometimes and while they have punctured them, they haven't ripped them yet. Even when one uses it like a tortilla to pull up the grass. (Annoying) very worth it. They loved it so much from the first second I wondered if the rubber was infused with something. Hah. Importantly, this is after only 10 minutes of frisbee (see photo). We have a new phrase in the house for when they are getting too rowdy....I'm going to frisbee the dogs. What a life saver this has been! (They are 20 months)

She loves this frisbee and will choose it hands down over all her other toys! It's soft so it doesn't hurt her teeth to catch it, which definitely encourages her to jump for it more often. It takes some getting used to in order to throw it correctly and let it get enough air for her to catch it, but it's just as great for fetch. I wish it withstood a bit more wear and tear (the other dogs at the dog park we visit almost daily always take it from her and like to play tug of war) but it's well worth it to order it from Amazon instead of paying 50-75% more at a large pet store. That makes replacing it when I have to a little bit easier.I definitely recommend this frisbee and will continue to replace it with the same one as needed.

Another reviewer mentioned getting two, because it gives you a great bartering tool when the dog won't give up the one it just chased down. Absolutely do it, the logic works perfectly.Very lightweight yet flies great. Some folks might complain that it doesn't have the throw distance, but the description says this isn't their long-distance frisbee. It's durable too, but I've only had them a few days and I haven't let my dog use it as a chew toy; I'll hold off on officially reviewing longetivity. I will say that currently it has zero damage despite my dog's best effort. The canvas middle portion was a smart design, because dog teeth pierce through and the fabric "heals" its holes. When these finally wear out, I'm getting more.
