My dog absolutely loves this toy. The unique design puts a spin on the ring so that it rolls like a wheel and just keeps going and going. The rings are also brightly coloured and easy to spot in the grass. It also holds my dog's interest for a lot longer than balls do.I only see a couple downsides. Replacement rings are relatively expensive. Unlike a regular ball Chuckit, you can't just pick up cheap tennis balls if you don't want to pay for the brand name balls (which by the way, are actually far superior to tennis balls, but a little too easy to lose for me too justify the price). But the price tradeoff for my dog seems worth it. Unlike balls, they're not easy to lose because they're bigger,easier to spot, and as mentioned, they keep my dogs in interest more effectively.My biggest concern is the way the clamp on the Chuckit holds the ring. It's a relatively small clamp and I'm worried that over time it's grip may loosen on the ring. If that happens, I'm not sure how well it will work. My source of hope in this is how durable their ball throwers have proven to be. I've had the same one for about 6 years and it still works like new. Hopefully this holds up just as well, however given the design constraints needed to make something like this work, I suspect I may have to replace the ring thrower in a few years.Regardless, I still think it's worth the money when compared to so many other inferior toys that are out there.If you want to play it safe on a more proven product (and likely save money on replacement balls), stick with the traditional ball Chuckit. But if you want try something more unique that your dog may prefer to the old stand by, don't hesitate to check out this cleverly designed ring tosser!Tip: don't try too hard to throw the ring far. All it takes is a nice, smooth, relatively compact elbow and wrist motion. If you try too hard and use a large sweeping motion overhead, the ring tends to release with a high arc through the air and with a slow, wobbly spin. In short: unlike with the traditional ball chuckit, less is more, and it takes a little practice and, counterintuitively, some restraint to really get it spinning and zipping across the ground.

Our golden retriever absolutely loves this toy, the throwing arm is comfortable to use, the way the ring move makes it harder work for our boy to catch and figure out it's movements. It seems to mimic the way a wild animal would run in a way! He's not normally one for chasing things so this is a a great way to tire him out, if he brings it back to me that is!!Well made rubber, nice and tough so it's durable. Seems to be withstanding his chewing for now!

My dog absolutely loves his chuckit toys so am always looking for new ones, I bought him this for Christmas and had a bit of a fight with him trying to wrap it. Best thing about Chuckits is they are made to last, they keep my dog entertained so am thinking of getting an extra ring. So glad it arrived on time

I purchased this for my 6 month old Schnoodle .My dog loves this so much I have to stop her play or she would chase it all day.

Our dog absolutely loves it and it has taken over from any ball!! It is easier to throw and bounces in different ways!

I think some people just can't get the technique correct.It just needs a flick not a full over head toss

Such a fun toy, the dog adores it. Not as easy to throw as the ball flinger but fun nevertheless.
