I've suffered so much in the past with very sensitive skin, to the point where I didn't actually realise what was causing the problem until I sought proper advice. For a long time I thought my frequent, recurrent rashes and irritation on my skin was caused by problematic foods etc. Having experimented extensively I then realised food wasn't to blame, and started to look at products I was putting directly onto my skin. You might think well surely that's where you would look first if you have skin problems, but that's not necessarily the case. I was using other well known brands of "sensitive" moisturiser products, the kind that you would expect would cause no irritation problems, especially if the packaging claims are to be believed, but in truth they were causing me all sorts of problems. Everyone's skin is different, and some of us are just a lot more sensitive than others.I experimented extensively with alternative moisturising products, to name a few...Diprobase, doublebase, E45, Aqueous Cream, the list is endless, and all of them caused some sort of irritation. It was a vicious circle because my skin gets so dry so I have to put something on it, but everything I was trying was making it worse. I was starting to think there was nothing I could use until a friend who works in the medical profession recommended my knight in shining armor...Cetaphil! I tried the moisturising lotion first, and although it was a significant improvement on anything I'd used before, it started to cause a little bit of irritation after a few weeks. This can be common, as the lotion has more in it that can still cause problems for the most sensitive amongst us, so I was then advised to switch to the cream, and bingo...I haven't looked back since. This stuff is an absolute God send for me, and has really improved my overall well being now that my skin is turning back to a normal, smooth, calm condition again. The cream is thick and goes on easily and absorbs very easily too, and is non greasy. Being honest it's probably not the best moisturiser you can get, and you do need to apply top ups a few times throughout the day, especially in cold and dry conditions, but for me and most others reading this who are looking for something that will help, you need look no further than this wonderful product. If my story rings true with you then do yourself a favour and try this cream, you won't regret it!

TL; DR - if you have any dry skin, this cream is very effective. Very, very effective.Skin Type: Dry (as in non-oily)Skin Condition : Eczema/Contact Dermatitis/ I don't even know any more - I find it becomes particularly bad during cold weather, otherwise it is fine. It will dry, crack and bleed in worse case scenarios.I first used this cream (well it was the same brand) when my eczema was much worse in my youth. After moving to a tropical country my eczema no longer flared up so I kinda forgot about it. But now that I'm back it's starting to pop up again. So I bought this. How I use it:Applied after a warm shower. (How it was recommended by a dermatologist)The Good:This is a massive container,it will last you ages. (I got the 16oz)It moisturises quite fast (20 minutes)The smell if quite close to fragrance free. It smells faintly of sun screen, but after about 45 minutes, you wouldn't be able to sniff it out even if you tried.Light enough that I used it on my face without blocking any pores. BUT my face is naturally dry, so test it on a small part one night first.I hardly need any to cover the required area. (I don't need to scoop up any cream, I just rub my finger moderately firmly and I have enough)It seriously keeps my skin fine for about 24 hours. Even though my eczema is on my hands and receives regular washing. What to consider:It still does take about 20 minutes to absorb into the skin.I do not have eczema on my face, so I can't verify how well it would work there. While this does moisturise the skin it doesn't soothe/heal the already cracked and bleeding skin. I solved this by using "Lucas Remedies Pawpaw Ointment"

Having started a course of Roaccutane about a month ago, I recently found that my usual moisturiser (Simple Kind to Skin Light Hydrating Moisturiser) just wasn't cutting it. My face felt tight and uncomfortable. So I decided to buy this - and what a difference it made. Most moisturisers usually make me break out to some degree, but I haven't noticed any breakout caused by this moisturiser. The texture is quite odd, it's kind of greasy, but not in the same way as a lot of other products. I think a lot of the negative reviews this product gets is due to people putting too much on their skin, which will make their skin look very shiny indeed. But you really only need a thin layer on your skin to reap the benefits of this moisturiser.I apply a thin later for during the day when I'm out, which still gives your skin a bit of a shimmer, but certainly not an oily look. Then at night time I slather it on. I have no doubt that I will continue to use this moisturiser after my course of Roaccutane is finished because after trying countless moisturisers I have finally found one that works well for my skin. I would highly recommend this to anyone with dry/acne prone/sensitive skin or any skin type for that matter.Oh and it also feels great after you've had a shave, very soothing!

I know people often say they have never posted a review before but sincerely I haven't. Just recently I was at my wits end with my skin always having dry patches on cheeks and forehead mainly, tried lots of products top end and cheap. Did lots of research and this product kept coming up in lots of threads and then I looked on Amozon and mainly positive reviews so I bought the cream (comes in a bigger tub than expected). Sorry spelt Amazon wrong. I have used this for 2 weeks now and it is my saviour honestly. Even after the first couple of applications I could tell it changed my skin, it looks hydrated now ( something I've longed for)I'm in my fifties and my son and daughter have both noticed separately saying blimin heck mom your skin looks different what are you using. My daughter said the changes to my skin take years off me. I'm really pleased I can't tell you enough, For once money well spent and I will always use this now. As I'm writing I'm aware I sound like an advert for Cetapill lol but it's brill, can't believe the difference to my face and so grateful I found this. Also to say I have mild Roseaca and have had no break outs since using this wool wool!!

So I've used this for two weeks now my face hasn't flared up at all Which is good considering what is in the product I thought that this is not going to be for me as i have eczema and acne prone skinI wouldn't use this when I have a flare up because it does sting my face slightlyI love the feel of the cream it reminds you of sun block and smells like it as well and it taste sweet I put this on my lips as well gives it a slight shineThis stuff doesn't leave the face looking greasyThis has sweet almond oil which is good for the skin If you have slight nut allergy ie you don't need to use a pen then you should be ok with this I have peanut/nut allergy and I didn't have adverse reaction to thisIwish I tried this out ages ago I've been prescribed creams to use on my face which been good for me eczema but not good for acne but this is just rightAnd this size would last for long time worth every peny

I really love this cream. I have very acne-prone skin, with an oily tzone but very dry cheeks, and I had to go back to basics to find products which didn't break me out. I have had great success with this one, and I find it leaves my cheeks much softer than Cerave in the tub - which I have used before. It feels very rich, and a little bit greasy (which doesn't bother me overnight). It never tingles, leaves redness, or stings with whichever products I have layered on before. It's highly moisturising and hasn't made me any oilier during the day at all.It is a very large and heavy tub, which will be difficult to travel with. I recommend having a spare, small tub to decant this into if you want to travel with it.Otherwise, I am glad to have so much of the product. Tubs can be less hygienic, but with some sensible precautions, that hasn't been an issue for me.Definitely recommend!

This is a decent Moisturising Cream and it should be for the price. It is no better than several other brands and if you can find a super market or own brand you may be better off buying that one for a much cheaper price. However it does have good properties. It's fragrance free. This means it's unisex and children are not put off by certain fragrances. It doesn't block your pores. If you have spotty skin and you use one that does block your pores then you are asking for trouble. It's suitable for sensitive skin fair enough but I've yet to find a moisturizer that claims it isn't.and finally it is suitable for very dry or damaged skin. This is a boon if you are prone to these conditions.Overall.A decent cream moisturiser that is no better and no worse than many other, cheaper ones on the market.

The product comes in a very generous (almost half a kg) amount which is great for long-term use. The moisturiser tub is easy to open and has ingredients and directions on the back as expected. I've found that this moisturiser absorbs into the skin very well and so applying too much isn't an issue.Something which isn't mentioned much is how this product is great for acne/spot suffers due to the simplistic ingredients (so your face isn't overloaded with hundreds of potential reactants and allergens) and the fact that this product is in fact non-comedogenic (it doesn't block pores like many other moisturisers do).Overall great moisturiser.

I first bought this cream in Australia last year and I loved it! It works wonders on my dry skin, especially my legs, which is why I give it four stars. I only use it on my body, not my face. However, I was beyond disappointed when I realized that this cream, bought in the UK, contains both methylparaben and propylparaben and not in small amounts, whereas the Australian product does not contain any at all. They are both manufactured in Canada, so why on earth would the UK product contain parabens! The Australian container is also 20% bigger for an equally smaller price - go figure!

Lovely gentle moisturiser for face and body at a great price. This is perfect for sensitive, reactive, dry skin. I also bought the moisturising lotion which I use for both face and body too; the one I choose just depends how dry my skin is that day. Together with the gentle cleansing gel the Cetaphil trio has cleared up my eczema and got rid of a long-standing malar rash on my face.I have tried and despaired of most of the brands out there at every price point and cannot recommend this highly enough to anyone who struggles to find products their skin can tolerate.

This is hands down THE best moisturiser. I have troublesome sensitive acne prone skin which is irritated by everything. Having spent a small fortune on raiding boots skin care options and endless amounts of expensive luxury moisturisers to no avail. Then I somehow came across this moisturiser and it is absolutely perfect!! Plus it costs basically nothing for a massive tub and leaves my skin feeling super moisturised and healthy. My make up goes on perfectly over the top too.

I use this daily as it is the only moisturiser that is good for my eczema. The only negatives are that it isn't easy to purchase unlike the rest of the range and when you can get it the price escalates enormously. Bought 8 when last in the States but now the minimum cost here is is between £20-25 per tub and around $15 there.Don't really appreciate the hike in price of between £6-11 per tub plus postage for what I consider a basic necessity since I 'crack up' without it.

I was recommended this product by my sister in law was lives in America as a product suitable for sensitive skin which reacts quickly to most products. I ordered it over the Christmas period and received within a couple of days. It is absolutely brilliant! It is light, unperfumed, non greasy and easily absorbed. No stinging, no tingling, no itching and no dry flaky skin! I wish I had known about this years ago. I am converted and am busy recommending it to all my friends

excellent product. I used to buy rather expensive Clarins facial moisturiser but reacted to it and was prescribed steroid cream by Doctor . Don't know if they changed the ingredients? As a result of this, I started to use Cetaphil on my face having previously used it as a body cream. I am more than happy with it and will not buy more expensive brands ever again. For holidays it's easy; one moisturiser that does everything extremely well. A small amount goes a long way.

Have tried so many different face moisturisers for acne prone skin and I am so glad I came across this and decided to go for it- it is like butter and melts into the skin and does not break you out, my skin feels completely moisturised for the first time in ages. If you are thinking about getting this stop thinking and get, it's great! Works really quickly to within a couple of days my dry painful acne skin was healing and on the mend.
