It's lasted longer than another hand warmer I've bought. More dependable, and seems to put out a decent heat. Gotten more uses out of it. It can be fairly hot, like a hot mug. It's a bit big, even for my large hands. So, I don't think that makes for an efficient design. It's got two metal heat pads, one on each side, and a pleasant feeling plastic around these along the edges. It's nice when you cup your hands around it. Just a bit awkward though for one hand in your pocket.I'll often reach into my pocket or bag and find that one of the lights has been activated on this. It's frustrating, thinking I've lost potential warming time due to the sensitive light button.

My son has type 2 diabetes and because of nerve damage has cold hands during the fall and winter even here in sunny Florida, I looked at many versions of this device and thought It would help him with this issue, very nicely made and a pretty descent flashlight to boot, white and red leds for night use are a plus, high and low heat settings with give more than enough heat for a surprising length of time.. highly recommended for Yankees as well. also rechargeable with standard usb cable. great for cold football games in open stadiums.

Of course it's a hand warmer which was great this Winter, I made a habit of carrying it in my coat pocket.But the flashlight function is also handy.And one time my smart phone had gotten low on battery level and I didn't notice, so I just hooked it up to this and was able to bring it up to a more reasonable level (which is especially important in the Winter). Of course you have to remember to carry the appropriate cable.

I'm very impressed..only charged it once so far and used it three days at 2 hours average each times...the oooh's and aaaah's I get from my friends are actually quite funny...everybody wants to "borrow" it....hahaha! I haven't had a lot of these, but if you want to keep your hands warm, and don't feel like getting a college degree to figure out how to turn it on...you found the right spot.

Buy two one in each pocket and use over the day to warm hands up.The cell has two sides so one or both can be used .Both sides on will last about 4-5 hours or more on a full charge.They get upto temperature in about 5 mins,very hot ,worth every penny.Also they can charge your mobile via USB and there are leds to use as a torch.All year round use.Celestron Elements FireCel+

These are fab... we have one each and use them all the time... I hike a lot so it’s great for keeping my phone charged on a long walk and also keeping warm when stopping on really cold days :) great having a torch just in case too...My husband is a builder and often outside in cold conditions and has attached his to a lanyard to keep inside his jacket to keep him warm :)

A remarkable device and just the sort of thing that you want to have in your walking/hiking rucksack. A good, strong torch, hand warmer and phone charger in one very small package. Comes in a good quality pouch which is just the thing when using the hand warmer function. I think it represents fantastic value for money. Very impressed, well done Celestron.

I have two of these, received first one two years ago as a gift. Purchase second one this hunting season. Both work great for keeping hands warm while outside in low temperatures. Charging port works great to recharge your phone while out in the cold when your battery dies early due to the cold.I would purchase these as a gift for family and friends.

I do like the hand warmer BUT, the buttons are easily pushed while in your hand. Your holding a hand warmer, your expected to hold, squeezes and feel the hand warmer. While doing t his, you may turn the warm off or to other setting (poor design plan. There should be a safety or two point switch to turn on and off and changes temp.s

It's a good torch and a good hand warmer but when you are using it as a hand warmer and a torch on your way to the pub on a cold dark night it is very easy to accidentally press the wrong buttons and disable one or both functions.Having said that I still think it's a great piece of kit and well worth the money.

This gets much hotter than other hand warmers I've bought in the past and very handy (pun intended) that it heats up on both sides. It lasts a good few hours too. The torch feature is sure to be useful too. It feels well made and is worth the money in my opinion.

The button for the light is a bit too easy to hit by mistake, but otherwise this is an absolutely perfect product. Easy to charge, holds its charge, gets hot quick and for a long time. Lovely ergonomic shape. Not too heavy for hiking either.

I've used this device to charge my phone and keep my hands warm for a couple of years now.. I hunted in KS during a snow storm with the windchill was 20 below. I was able to keep my hands nice and warm. I now own two of them!

This hand warmer is good. good size holds battery for a long time. very bright lights. the only problem is the buttons are on the side of the device and it keeps turning both the light and warmer on in my pockets.

The side buttons are too sensitive. I put some thick clear tape on them and that helps a lot. Now it works great! I love having it when my hands get cold. Excellent product, just need to tweak those side buttons.
