If you’re looking for a relatively cheap rear light for your bike then this is definitely the one to go for. I was after a unit that would distribute light so that I not only could be seen by someone approaching directly behind me but also from more of a side angle too. Strapping a couple of red LEDs to a battery and turning it on is schoolboy stuff but the lens on this lamp has been superbly designed to direct the majority of the light from the LEDs directly behind you so you can be spotted from a distance, but also leaves enough spare to allow it to project out to the sides too - I’ve tried to show the pattern it projects in my hallway to give you an idea.Mounting the light is easy with the post clamp,or you can attach it to your belt, bag or helmet with the included clip.Protection from water ingress may not be the best - you pry open the unit with a coin to change the batteries and it just snaps shut onto a rubber seal. I haven’t had an issue yet though.

Super bright, sturdy, easy to install and stays secure. Used on slow blink, I have yet to need changing the batteries. You can also unclip it from the mount and hang it on a vest for running. People who say the mounting is poor or it won't turn on are probably morons who can't figure out simple electronics or simple mechanical fasteners. The light turns on by pressing and holding the switch like many of today's electronics do and the mount easily attached to anything cylindrical. You just have to be sure the light is properly locked onto the mounting bracket with an audible "click" I have the red one mounted to my rear trunk bracket, debunking the dufus who says you can't mount it to anything that holds baskets or cargo.

My first thought was, this is a bit smaller than my old Omni 3, that I wanted to add to in order to improve visibility further. I wondered if it would be as powerful. I shouldn't have worried. It's better. Brighter, smaller, lighter. Cateye are the best in my opinion. I have had them for years with no problems.Even better is that it runs on AA batteries, not rechargeable. This means a) no limited product life, it will last a lifetime of cycling and more! b) when you don't quite know if your batteries have enough left for a trip, just stick a couple of new ones in a pocket and you're good to go. Less stress worrying if you will get home in time, and less charging (using electricity)"just in case".Happy.

This product is excellent so far. Much improved LEDs compared to my old lights. Very bright, good on/off button, easy to attach. It comes with AAA batteries, a belt clip, a mounting bracket which also has an extra fitting for thin struts. The mounting bracket would however be fairly easy to remove if someone with malicious intent were to want it for some reason as it is fitted without the use of any screws, that is also an advantage as you can adjust or change it easily.I have seen lights which show more sidelight but this will certainly do the job as it has the advantage of being neat and compact as well. It looks nice.

Needed something that was going to have a stronger holder and brighter light than my last (CHEAP) one that broke. Bracket is ace!!! Very easy to fit and is tight on the back wishbone of the bike, has protectors on its side to protect your pride and joys paintwork phew!!!Was advised to get either a Cateye or Fibreflair light, well the prices of he Fibreflair are ridiculous. So considering that this Cateye is half the price, it is very very bright and is great that the light can be seen a full 180 degrees. All in all a good rear light. Would highly recommend.

The mount is brilliantly simple (a plastic jubilee clip) and so it is easy to fit, even on the the relatively large diameter tubing of my mountain bike and does not need any tools. The light fits securely in the mount. It is nice and bright and there are a variety of flash patterns to suit personal preference. There is a rubber gasket to keep water out. I have used my light in the rain with no problems. I am happy with my purchase, it looks and feels far better quality than the cheaper lights I have previously bought, and it does what it is supposed to do.

Cateye is a well respected provider of cycle computers and lighting. The TL-LD135-R offers three modes of operation. The rapid mode attracts attention, affording safer night cycling. Beware that many lights sold use batteries that are not readily available in department, grocery, or big box stores. The TL-LD135-R uses AAA batteries, available anywhere. My daughter uses her bike at college. No issues replacing batteries when needed. And LEDs use very little energy. The click-in mount makes removal easy, keep the light in your back pack, install when needed.

I tend to lose them during commute, while loading up on my car, etc, so I decided not to spend too much money on lights especially on rear. Here are what I like:- This light is very inexpensive, but bright. The back plastic piece is also red transparent (not black), so the light will shine further in all direction.- Hard push to turn on/off.- Unlike other cheapo lights, I don't have to cycle through all light configuration to turn it off, but with one hard push.- The attachment hook lets it hang horizontally or vertically on a strap of saddle bag.

Made by Cateye this rear light is good quality surprisingly bright and surprisingly small. Has the possible green credential of being USB rechargeable. Hopefully replacement O rings for attaching to the seat post are easy to source? Well pleased especially the price I got it for on eBay. Might not have gone for it at new price, ouch! But.....you pay for quality. I've had cheap lights before and they're usually awkward to fit, aren't that secure and often not waterproof. What's that expression......buy cheap, pay dear! This is a good light!

Moderately bright (could always be better). I like the new switch - hold in for 3 seconds to turn on/off, this makes it less likely to be bumped and accidently shut off. The flex mount does allow it to be mounted to many places. But it will not go down small enough to fit on the rails of my rear rack.Only problem I have had so far is after hitting a hard bump, the front lens came off and batteries came out. Not sure if I didn't have it on tight enough, its a design flaw. But I will put a rubber band on it just to be on the safe side.

If you need a front light to be seen by, rather than to light the road ahead, this is worth a look. Offering steady, flashing and "rapid" mode - which I find draws attention to itself while being less likely to give you a headache than the ordinary flashing mode - it's more than adequate. Its compact size means it can easily be slipped off the bracket and put in a pocket. It also sits happily on my Brompton in its folded position. Ideal for cycling in areas where there is street lighting, but it would not do for dark country lanes.

We've had this rear safety light on my wife's bike for a month now and we both love it. She loves it because it is super simple to operate and has a 3-way switch. I love it because (1) It's bright - brighter than the Trek light I have on my bike (2) it came with multiple mounting options - which came in extremely handy and (3) and it cost less than half the price of a similar light in our local bike shop (sorry, guys). I plan to buy another when my light runs out. In short, we consider this A FIVE-STAR LIGHT at a one-star price!

This rear light has an adjustable strap which is brilliant to secure under your seat. It is very bright which is very important to be seen day or night. The only thing which would be helpful is if a sticker was put on the light saying that you have to press the switch and hold for the light to switch on. There is a instruction leaflet in many languages with a small instruction how to initiate the light which I missed first time around. This is a very good product.

Keeps the snowbirds from running me over at night. What more could I ask for. My only complaint is that learning to turn the light on and off was a little tricky. Here's how to do it: to turn the light on push and hold on/off button until it turns on (about 1 full second); to cycle through lighting options push on/off button quickly (about half a second); to turn light off push and hold on/off button until it turns off (again, about 1 full second).

Cateye stuff is usually excellent Value For Money, and this one is as well. You can pay a lot less but frankly they're poor. You can pay a lot more as well. This is definitely in the sweetspotI like the side on/off pushbutton - so many have them on the back. The mounting clip is good as well - can mount vertical or horizontal, and attach to either seat tube (25mm?) diameter or the rear stay (10mm?) dameter without faffing about. .
