I would definitely recommend this watch for an active lifestyle. The build seems very durable, and as the previous review states, it has just the perfect weight to feel solid, but it is still not heavy enough that you notice it too much.The functions on it are also very nice, changing the digital display to show different options, and all the functions that a digital watch needs to have but you really miss if they aren't there. It has stopwatch, timer, alarm and a world time, which is very nice if you want to easily keep track of another timezone.I have now had this watch for more than 1½ years,
If you've seen my other two reviews on the larger G-Shock you'll understand the title! Finally found a large G-Shock watch, cheap enough for everyday knocking about, that these old eyes can read both digitally and analogue without glasses. Lovely clear digital displays that I can see without performing contortions to get the light at the right angle. Not too big on the wrist or heavy. Yes, you'll know it's there but that's surely the point of the bigger G-Shock. Couple of things stopped me giving it five stars. One, the stupid light which may as well not be there and two, I am not too keen on the analogue hands being shiny metal with tiny spots of luminescence on the end.
I've owned this watch for nearly a year now and it is my daily driver, I absolutely love it, and it's my favourite G-Shock that I own so far, it's very well made and durable, very accurate at telling the time and has been running on the same battery since I purchased it and shows no sign of stopping so far, it also has lots of very handy and useful functions and most importantly it look BADASS, probably one of the coolest G-Shocks out there, with its stealthy Matt black look!I use this watch for carouse different sports like Downhill mountain biking and daily gym and P.E use, I have been rough on this watch and it shoes no sign of failing, there barley even a scratch on it!I very highley recommend this watch for anyone wanting to own a G-Shock,
I needed a watch that would stand up to the rigours of plenty of outdoor work and so far this watch is exactly as you'd come to expect from the G-shock brand. Looks smart enough to reflect the price and tough enough to stand up to most situations you could throw at it.The only downside I could see some potential buyers encountering is the dark colouration of the face. It does have an orange light that lights from the bottom of the face but if you struggle to see in low light conditions normally you may wish to opt for another design with greater contrast if you continually work in dark environments
I have found some difficulty purchasing a watch on line that I find easy to read. I was in two minds about purchasing a G-Shock as the pictures and some comments about some models suggest this could be a problem. However, so far I am delighted. The bright blue hands and markings round the face just catch the light but are not as garish as some of the pics suggest. The LED display is more difficult, but not a problem. The back light is ok but not a great help. The functions are good and easy to understand. Would recommend.
I always wanted a watch with a large dial and at 51mm this is exactly that. Although the watch is very comfortable and i have fallen asleep in it multiple times.I have worn it when i went painballing with friends, its taken hits directly to the glass and still works without a hitch, also its one of those watches you do honestly trust that you can take it under water and will still work as you dry off. Plus its one that you can wear no matter the occasion, it really is arguably the best all round watch ever
Really good watch. Very durable, use it for army cadets, skiing and work. It looks great, people have asked to buy it straight off of my wrist haha.Only downside is that the digital time cannot be viewed in low-light situations, and although there is a backlight, it does not light the digital display. Also the watch sets itself once you choose the time zone, so its really easy to set up.Since this review, I have swum in it, gone rafting, climbing and abseiling with it. Very good watch.
This is the my 4th G-Shock. They are perfect for the job I do and the world time feature is great for when I'm traveling abroad. I must admit I did look at other brands but there's nothing that matches G-Shock for quality. Don't be put off by the blue detail on this watch as it's hardly noticeable and this design is the best I've had to date. The only negative point is that the backlight is not the best, but I can live with that as the rest of the watch is perfect.
I absolutely love this watch. I've had it for over a year and the only bad thing I can say about it is that the little gaps and holes do collect dirt and dust after a while and it isn't very easy to clean. The backlight could be a little better too.However, I do want to know the actual full name of the product because I lost the little buckle that keeps the strap in place and I can't seem to find a replacement that fits. If you can help, please do. Thanks
Love this watch, really can't fault it.I can see the time in the dark, and it feels a little upmarket for what it is.It really looks good on my wrist.I love watches, I have quite a collection, and I normally wear Tissot as it's generally my brand for everyday watches.Now, I started using this a lot more, since it's a bit more rugged and can resist a few knocks without scratching.I can safely say this is my new day-to-day watch.
This is a great watch. It's solid and sturdy yet very light and very comfortable to wear. The only draw back is the light. It is at the bottom of the watch and illuminates the hands but not the digital display. You can still read the time however which is all I need to do so I have no complaints. It looks stunning and has great features so I am very pleased. I would definitely recommend. Great service from amazon as expected.
The watch is amazing,looks and feels great..yes the light is not the best but good enough to see time and date.I wouldn't reccomend the free delivery because takes forever to get the watch,for 10£ extra you get it in two days..took 10 days to get the watch from UK to Ireland and was 2 days before estimated delivery date...overall good service from Amazon and very good product happy with my purchase..reccomend
Love, love, love it.... I have 3 high end watches which I have collected over 20yrs and are my pride and joy! But since I bought my G-shock I have worn 1 of the 3 once since Christmas when my wife bought me a watch winder(also from Amazon!!!) see photo!Not at all saying it's better or cooler I'm just enjoying it and loving it. ?
