Cash & Guns: 2nd EditionPlayers 4 - 8, Age 10+, Time 30 minutesContentsGame Rules, 8 Foam Guns, 18 Wound Tokens, 8 Characters, 1 Godfather First Player Token, 1 Godfather’s Desk, 1 Diamond Bonus Card, 16 Power Cards, 64 Bullet Cards (40 Click, 24 Bang!), 64 Loot CardsThemeYou play a group of criminals/gangsters who have just completed the robbery of the century but now comes the tricky bit: sharing the loot. The only thing standing between you and untold wealth are the other players and one hell of a Mexican standoff! That's exactly where the game puts you. It's after the heist and the only thing left to do is share the loot, the funny thing is bad guys don't share, bad guys point guns at each other. You need to bluff and shoot your way to the biggest share of the loot whilst making sure you survive. The GameI’m not going to go into every rule here but I do want to just give an overview of how the game works. The game takes place over 8 rounds, the richest player still alive at the end of the 8 rounds is the winner. At the beginning of the game every player takes a character, 1 foam gun, 5 Click cards and 3 Bang! cards.Every round you will place 8 Loot cards face-up along with the Godfather first-player token. Each player then secretly chooses 1 of their bullet cards, either a Click or a Bang!, and puts it face-down in front of them. Simultaneously you will all point your guns at someone, then people have a chance to drop out from this rounds share of the loot in return for not taking damage, which can kill you. The players left in reveal their cards (bullets) if it is a Bang! card then you get shot and take damage, if it is a Click card then it was a bluff and nothing happens. Anyone left in who hasn’t been shot gets to split that round’s loot. You repeat this for 8 rounds. The game itself is simply fun, because who doesn’t want to point a foam gun at their mate and say “feeling lucky, punk”? There is not a huge amount of strategy or tactics here, this is a simple and fun game that brings out an atmosphere when you play it. Once everyone is in the zone and starts getting into the game it brings out every movie cliche you could want and makes a very good party game and also a bit of a spectacle, there’s something intriguing about watching a group of people sitting around a table all pointing foam guns at each other. This game has been a massive hit at my gaming group and is never played just once, when we play it we will always have 2-3 games. What I would say is, this is one of those games that really needs the players to be onboard with it, if your group is of the more quiet persuasion then maybe this game isn’t for you. If you’ve got a group who like a good laugh and are up to a bit of trash talking, then this game is certainly worth you taking a closer look.

The easy part has been done. You've cracked the safe, evaded the security, made it back to the hideout. Now the hard work - splitting the loot...You sit there, all of you, surrounding the money, the diamonds, the art. Tension is thick in the air, you know that one of your partners might actually want to eliminate you, so that their share gets bigger. You know this, because you are thinking exactly the same thing...So, looking carefully at everyone, you make a decision: are you going to take a shot, or are you going to shoot a blank? Like everyone else, you've only got three bullets, and five blanks, so you have to choose wisely. You can only use a bullet or a blank once,so your pool of choices gets smaller as the "game" progresses. Choose carefully, and keep your intentions hidden from everyone. Keep them guessing, right? The Godfather counts to three - this is it! Everyone points their gun at someone, but no one knows whether they will also have a gun pointing at them - or if any gun has a bullet or blank. Look closely at their faces - are they looking nervous? The Godfather counts to three again - this time, everyone has the choice of lying down. This will allow them to dodge a shot, but it also means they won't be able to claim any of the loot in this round. Fortune only favours the bold, and since you only have one gun pointing at you, you decide to stay standing... the loots looks tempting, and you decide its worth the risk... and besides, he wouldn't really shoot you, would he? After all, you just did a job together... right??Everyone who is still standing reveals their cards. Did you shoot anyone? Were you shot by anyone?Anyone shot gets wounded (one wound, and you are out of the round. Three wounds in total and you are out of the entire game!), and can't claim any loot.If you survived getting shot, you go round in a circle, and take it in turns to claim the spoils. After eight rounds (and if you survive), who ever has the most cash, diamonds and art will be the winner.Previous relationships all get thrown out of the window, all that matters is the loot. With only three bullets, you have to be careful, and rely on your fellow crook. Unless, of course, they are aiming their gun at you... Decide when to stay in a round, and when to duck out.. Decide when to take the loot, and when to become the Godfather... Decide when to shoot and when to bluff....Great game for all the family (you can use your fingers to point, if anyone didn't want to use the guns), and the scoring has enough depth to make it interesting (cash is straightforward, art accumulates more value, the more you have, and the diamonds can result in a massive bonus if you have more than the other players). It's fun, it's quick, it's simple. Recommended.

I had been looking for a copy of Cash n Guns for the past year before they finally re-released it in this box recently. I'm glad to say that it was worth the wait and overall it's a fantastic package that you should definitely check out.Cash n Guns is essentially a bluffing game, pitting 4-8 players around the table in a classic Mexican-standoff. Everyone has a total of 8 cards that makes up the magazine in their pistol, 3 are "Bangs" (bullets) and 5 are "clicks" (nothing). Every round each player will choose which card to put into their gun and, after a count, point their pistol at someone around the table. Players will have an option to lay down their gun if they're being targeted and after another count, the cards will be resolved showing who got shot and who didn't. Any players that didn't get shot or lay down their guns get to share loot cards laid down on the middle of the table. Once this is done, you repeat the whole process for another 7 rounds. Getting shot 3 times over the course of the game will kill you and whoever has the most loot at the end of 8 rounds wins. The game is incredibly simple, both to teach and to play. It all becomes intuitive the moment you pick up your gun, making this a really great game for anyone, including people who aren't really into games. The player count of 4-8 makes this a great game for large groups, with the action getting increasingly chaotic and funny the more people you have. There is some strategy, but on the whole it's likely going to be a game that you don't mind too much whether you win or lose because it's fun to play. Occasionally you get a few grudges, but because of how fast and balanced the core game is, interaction with people rarely gets heated. Despite the premise of pointing guns at each other, the game is very lighthearted which is reflected in the artwork and presentation throughout.I've heard some criticism from people who own the first edition of the game that this box doesn't include as many rules or variants, which is a shame, but as a counter I've also heard that this version is a more streamlined version because of it. Personally I don't play with the individual character power rules, but I did like the sound of the hidden role variant that was included in the original. None of this is really a problem thought because the core game here is the same and very solid. My only point is that the game can sometimes end in a bit of an anti-climax, this is because after the final standoff, you'll all have to do some math and work out how much money you all have which isn't really that fun in itself. This is a tiny gripe though, because this is a really fun game that EVERYONE who's played it has loved. It's also not very expensive - I highly recommend.

This is a great game with fantastic components! The game plays at the table of a gang after they have done and robbery and are now splitting up the loot. Each player is given a foam gun, 3 bullet cards, and 5 blanks cards. The loot is dealt to the middle of the table. Each player then plays a bullet or blank card face down in front of them which will determine whether they shoot or not. The neat thing is that you will not get these cards back so if you fire your bullets in the first three rounds everyone knows you only have blanks left. The next stage is where everyone points their guns at somebody else indicating who they would like to shoot, after this players get to decide whether they will stay in for the loot division,if they stay in and are shot by a bullet they go out and take a wound whereas if they go out at this stage they don't get loot but they don't take a wound. Anybody who wasn't targeted or only received a blank and stayed in splits the loot between them. This continues until all the loot has been claimed and it's then counted up to see who wins.If you take three wounds you are out, and there are various bonuses for taking different types of loot. All in all a fun game for 4 to 8 players. It does work best with more players but four player games can work too with the right crowd. The difference being it is easier to die in a 4 player game. For more advanced players there are character cards with special powers on too. Highly recommended.

this is a great party game for 4-8 players.basically you are each dealt 8 cards 3 bangs and 5 clicks and given a fake foam gun, you then place one of your cards down and then everyone points their gun at someone. you then get the opportunity to duck out of the round meaning that any bullets shot at you miss..... but you also miss out on that rounds loot. if you stay in the round you can get a share of the leftover loot.... unless you are shot in which case you take a wound, of which you are allowed three.the only rule I don't like is the character cards which I don't feel add anything to the game and make it a bit more clunky, the advantage is you can happily play without those. If you like games and have 4-8 players this is definitely one to get,and is a good game to get people into gaming... the only issue is that Spyfall has now come out which is also a fantastic party game and in my opinion better.... but then in that you don't get to point foam guns at your friends and shoot them........

This is a great party game, we have played this lots since we got it and have even adapted it recently to include real loot at a party, one small real prize per round with a bigger prize for the winner which worked well. The foam guns are fun, what’s not to like about pretending to shoot your friends and family? Or are you shooting them? There are more clicks (blanks) than bangs so chances are you’re not. Only bit we’re not keen on are the power cards, they just seem to sway the game too much to the player who’s dealt the best power up so we don’t use them. We have a large family and can quite easily argue over games but surprisingly this game causes little conflict considering you’re shooting your nearest and dearest,a real winner.

I regularly play games with a mixed group of people (aged 25-35 ish). The group isn’t into “rule heavy” games, so I’m always on the lookout for fun games that are quick to learn.Having come across this game in several ‘best party game’ lists online... figured I’d give it a go and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a great game of pointing foam guns at each other, bluffing whether or not you have a live round with their name written on it. After a few rounds, we were all over this game and played it for 3 hours straight. The ‘power/ability’ cards were a nicely added feature to the game, which keeps things interesting.Would recommend this to keen gamers or newbies looking to get into games.

An outstanding party game. This one gets pulled out every games night, there is something so satisfying about pointing a foam gun at your friends and family! (though that could just be me...)The main aim of the game is to either shoot or 'psyche' out the others players while avoiding being shot yourself; so you can have your pick of shared loot from the center of the table.Interestingly, I've played with various people who own their own copy and brought their own house rules which has made the game either quicker or more fun. Well worth looking into some of these online to build the best game possible for your gaming group.

fabulous game played it with my whole family, All ages from 7 - 70 loved it. Only took a few minuets to learn the rules and we played for hours. I first herd of the game from Shut up and Sit down podcast (A must for any board game fans) and it is as good as they said, the expansion allows you to add more players but not mush more. The base game is great making and braking alliances each round, taking revenge and bluffing your way to the end of the game for a share of the loot. if you are looking for a fun fast packed game with few rules where you can double cross your friends then this is it. :)

Bought this for a small class at my school of secondary ages pupils. As there are "guns" in it and they understand the premise of making some money illegally, it has gone down a treat! It's made for a great laugh, brought some students together that don't usually get on, given them the chance to shoot the teacher etc. It's longevity is pretty good too as they still request to play it every now and then. Worth the money and good fun.

I bought this purely off the reviews and so glad I did. How can you have do much fun with just a foam gun!! I am not going to repeat how to play as other reviews have done that already. We played with 5 people ranging from 10 to 80 yrs and everyone was in fits of giggles and laughing.. My husband was determined to shoot his mother in law every time! Get this game if you want a laugh suits a bigger group . Good fame for xmas

Really fun and quick to learn game. I've played it a few times with 4 people and with 8 people and I felt there was no difference in the quality of the game. If you are looking for a quick and fun to get into game then I would recommend and I enjoyed the novelty of holding a foam gun.I personally play it as a light hearted warm up game before playing a more strategic game.

I never actually got my order of this game from Amazon, got left at a "neighbours" house.Ended up buying it from a local games shop (Travelling Man) for cheaper than it was on here. It's a novel idea for a game, and is great fun, I seriously think this would be an awesome addition to a lot of games collections, our kids love it as do friends our own age.

A really fun game to play together, cash and guns requires you to use a bit of strategy and foam guns. It's great trying to second guess your family, would your own parents shoot you? (Answer: yes of course, this is a competitive game and there are diamonds up for grabs!)Really nicely presented with sturdy pieces and cards, and of course guns!

This game is incredible, it will however create a little bit of drama in the family or friendship group you're playing with. Grandma won't take kindly to you pointing a gun at her and stealing her diamonds. If you're competitive and want to tactically do everybody over and take the biggest share of the loot, this game is definitely for you.
