I brought this toy for my 2 and a half year old as he kept playing with my Dyson, the hope was that he would play with this and leave the reel thing alone as a real Dyson makes an expensive toy.Well he loves this toy, it looks just like our real one, it's also just the right height and light weight. The beads spin around which he thinks is great as it gives the impression that he is really cleaning up. It also sucks up dust into a little compartment in the back. The only annoying thing about it is that for the deeper hovering noise that it makes you have to hold it just at the right angle or you only have the noise of the beads spinning. Not that my toddler minds this he thinks it is great just as it is and has not stopped playing with it since it arrived yesterday.I would recommend this to anyone who would like to prolong the life of there vacuum cleaner bye giving there little ones this to play with. This is an all round great toy which allows little ones to have fun and fell like they are helping mum.

Bought this Hoover for my nearly two year old son for Christmas and he is very pleased with the item and knew how to use it straight away. This little toy Hoover looks exactly the same as a real dyson, there is a on/off switch on the back that activates the suction on the hoover (yes it sucks up real bits) and a red button on the top of the hoover that will spin around the colourful bits inside the clear part of the hoover. Around the back of the hoover there is a debris draw that is used to empty any bits that have been hoovered up. I love this product and so does my son, I've given this product 4 stars, the reason for this is because when the hoover is not being used you can click the stand at the back so it should stay in the upright position, this is sometimes a little fiddly even for myself so my son is unable to do this himself however I would recommend this product to any child that is interested in their parents hoover as it looks and sounds just like the real thing and is in a kid friendly size!

My 20 months old son who has been obsessed with our hoover since he was 9 months old just loves this toy! Ever since we got it for him for Xmas he has been playing with it every single day! Whenever my husband starts using our dyson ball he runs and grabs his toy and hoovers side-by-side with his daddy. One of best toys we ever got him! Minor points in my opinion:1. When you start the red button the machine makes hoovering sound and blows air inside the clear plastic bit so small parts imitating dust move and make a noise. It makes him feel like he is actually cleaning. But due to static the particles got stuck to the plastic cover so there is no fun noise anymore. On the other hand,It could be because my son over-uses it.2. Although description states that you can pick up some small parts with it neither my son nor i were able to catch anything into the hoover.

We bought this recently for my son's 2nd birthday yesterday, we were stumped at what to get him so asked him what he wanted and he was very determined 'Hoover!' - I did a bit of searching around and chose this one, possibly because I'd quite like a dyson ball myself, and right now this is the closest I'll get to having one! I also liked the suction aspect, and the fact it looks like a real hoover, which is what he wanted - he currently has the fisher price laugh and learn which served its purpose while he was younger but now he wanted one 'like mummy's.'I am in agreement with the other review, the fact it doesn't stand up independently is annoying. It doesn't bother my son though, and he has played with it non-stop.It's been a hit with his little friend's as well, and the mummy's too!All in all, a good purchase, very much recommended.

I bought this item as a Christmas present for my 16 month son who loves our Dyson hoover hoping he would leave ours alone. Since the minute he opened this on Christmas day he hasn't put it down! Its on constantly (little annoying for us with the constant humming noise) as he loves going around hovering and playing with it. The setting which simulates the collection bin is great and works really well, he has bashed it, dropped it and given it some really abuse in 6-7 weeks and so far its stood up to it. Its really funny watching him going around copying us but great to see him develop.If/ when this breaks I will buy a replacement straight away, mainly because my son will not be happy if I don't but also because I think its a great product and idea! I would recommend this to all who's little one loves a Dyson!

Bought as a gift for a 2 year old, this dyson is just like the real deal and even has some suction. It makes a noise, the balls swirl and it is ideal for little ones. It's much smaller than I expected and even quite small compared to other toy hoovers. It's difficult to get the batteries in and to stay in place but once you get it going, it's a great fun toy. I have given it 4 stars as it says it's for ages 3+ but it was the right size for my two year old niece. It's far to small for my 4 year old nephew though. Well worth the money though, it really does look like a dyson and the ball part is a fantastic addition. My niece absolutely loves it and now helps her mummy do the hoovering. All little ones should have one of these, they're pretty cool.

A great little toy for my 2 year old to help hoover the house with me! He goes straight for this toy everytime he hears my real Hoover turn on. It's lightweight and easy for him to push just like a real dyson. He's thrown it around quite a bit and the quality seems to be very high. I also love that the switch to control suction is on the back so my toddler hasn't figured out how to turn it on himself and waste the batteries. The button on the top he can push to make noise and blow the little sponge pieces inside the plastic cylinder around. This is all he needs to be happy with it really. As you can expect for a little toy, the suction isn't great and it won't pick up much other than a few hairs.Overall this was a great buy!

I had to chuckle when I saw my other half producing this for our 2 year old daughter.... It looks so realistic and she does love to 'help' me around the house. She is now just three and still likes it.It looks very realistic to the real Dyson Ball vacuum cleaner, just on a very miniature scale. It also makes noises to make the experience more realistic. The only thing I would love is if it did actually vacuum our floors - our little girl uses it so much, our floors would be spotless by now!The only problem we have encountered with this toy is that it does not like to stand up on its own which is a small irritation, but does not detract from the toy itself or how much it is played with.Would recommend.

Already 'own' one for my own child, bought 2nd time around as a gift for another...if my daughters anything to go by they'll love it, follows us around when we hoover. There's a main switch on top/front that turns on sounds and starts spinning the bits around in drum with a second smaller switch on rear/back that starts up actual suction, there's a small gap in the head, with a small drawer in back of 'ball'.Only thing is we've found the bits spinning around drum must create static and so far they've all began sticking to the plastic (tried shaking them loose but to no affect)

Okay, so initially I put this in to return as there was next to no power, at first it didn't even turn on, then suddenly it did but barely, only one part would work at a time too.I bought Duracell batteries begrudgingly as I was suggested this tiny Hoover needed something with more power output. Now it works amazing! Both parts work together, it has a slight suction, nothing major, my daughter is much much more happier! You will need the expensive batteries for this, I'm considering rechargeable batteries!

My son was always getting dyson out of the cupboard, much to my annoyance so when I saw this thought it would be perfect! Since he got it he has not put it down. It's the only toy he really plays with. Not the easiest to stand but he has no problems getting it to stand. Has to click a certain way. Realistic sounds and actually works! I think the only downside is there is no plug attached which is a shame but I'm sure there is safety reasons behind it. Other than that really can't go wrong with this toy!!

We bought this for our son's second birthday. He absolutely loves it and has not stopped playing with it since. He no longer plays with our actual Dyson which was what I was hoping for!It seems fairly robust and has withstood being thrown, dropped and rammed into things on a daily basis with no damage to the toy. The only negative is that a lot of static tends to build up inside the cylinder so all the coloured bits stick to the side. All in all would highly recommend. Very glad we bought this.

My son is almost 3 and has great pleasure in using his Dyson. In fact he hasn't put it down since Christmas day! The balls swish round when pressing the red button, but its when the on mode is selected that the hoovers performance really kicks in. Sound is believable too. In fact he had a Henry with a short cord, I think this cordless dyson is better as he use to get frustrated with the suction plug not staying put.Only snag is it doesn't collect debris like Henry but my son is none the wiser.

Teaching my one year old to clean the house so I can watch more TV and basically do nothing like the husband. Husband for sale if anyone interested.I've not put any batteries in and he's already besotted. Probably buy some when he seems bored and really blow his mind. Genuinely really glad I bought this. He does love it. It would make an excellent birthday or Christmas present and I'll be buying for our niece to go with her wooden kitchen. Worth it at twice the price. Fully recommend.

This was bought as a birthday present for my 2 year old niece... It's great for her to play along whilst her mum does the housework... Doesn't really pick any small paper bits up but it's still fun for her... I read lots of reviews first an decided not to get the ball vacuum as people said it was difficult to get it to stand up when finished with... I accidentally still bought the ball one... Grr but it just gets propped up in the cupboard or against the toy box so no big issue really.
