I bought this for my 9 year old sisters birthday after weeks of begging. I believed that she would play it for a couple of hours get bored of it and put it in the cupboard not to be seen for many years. However after half an hour she, my brother, the next door neighbour and I were all playing together this coninued for several hours until she had to go to bed.One of the great features of the game is that you can do everything with up to four players meaning that we didn't have to wait for ages until good quality mutiplayer levels were unlocked (as in some previous Disney games). It created healthy competition between us and kept us hooked throughout. Its great fun for all ages, with not just simple racing modes but with others, such as hunter where you hunt down the "baddie" cars using weapons which you collect from Mario Kartesque item boxes. In the races you can do tricks to boost the turbo bar which I think make the game more beautiful to watch.I found the wheel response excellent and it involves you in the driving making you feel that you are the character (of which there are many) you control. The graphics are good for the wii and will please any avid Cars fan with extreme detail on the cars striaght from the film. As well most of the Cars are voiced by the original actors from the movie (major exceptions being Fin McMissle and Lightning McQueen). It's good that the game is based on but not strict to the film, this gives a strong relation to it but makes sure that playing game is not just the same as replaying the film. The game overall feels alot like Mario Kart with Cars characters but this does not take away the pleasure of the game and there are modes which are not in Mario Kart which can be played if you are Mario Karted out.

That game was a nightmare to play at times and frustrating for a child. This one, as has been pointed out, is more in the mario kart mould and works well for it. The training mode is fun and failing to meet the trophy standards ends up pushing you for that "one more go, I can do this" response. The multi player is good fun and very mario kart in style, for example the battle mode and works well for all ages. The only reason I would not give it 5 stars is there is one annoying glitch in the game, there is a move that allows you to flip the car to drive on its side, the way to do this is push forward. Unfortunately, as can be guessed, that is a move it is easy to make by accident and once you're on your side cornering is a nightmare and sitting back down only seems to respond half the time. So you can find a good lap ruined by that one glitch. But it isn't so bad it ruins the game.

My 5 year old son has this game and really enjoys this game, unfortunately it has a really big BUT. My son is obsessed with unlocking everything in all games that he plays and this is not easily possible unless you can connect with other consoles to play / an have parents who are prepared to spend hours trawling through the web to find QR codes (those funny square barcode thingys) to be able to unlock all the cars etc.The game play is easy, though in story mode is rather binary in the controls - either flat out racing or trying to complete a mission that require very delicate use of the controls. This game seems to lack any middle ground. The story line is easy to follow and loosely follows that of the movie,if you have a "cars" fan in your household this game is great, if you are looking for a driving game with a physics engine my recommendation is to steer well clear.

OK, what's the point of a 'game'? Might seem a daft question but to my mind the answer is to 'have fun'.It's slick, colourful, relates very well to the film and the game play is quite varied (racing, attack the baddies, slalom etc). All the characters are in there, complete with original voice actors. There are also progress 'unlocks' to keep it interesting and after months of use, there is still a long way to go to 'finish' it.So there you go - it's fun so it serves its purpose. However, to be critical - the sound is off (delayed or mis-aligned samples) and the controls are a bit strange for an experienced 'gamer'.Does this affect the game play enjoyment of my 4 year old? Not one jot. He loves it.See the first sentence!

There is so much to this game!! A whole range of different cars to choose from (and more get unlocked as you go on), there are normal races, hunting races where you have to shoot the baddies as well as get to the finish line, on where you have to keep enough energy level up to avoid being zapped by Professor Zundap as you race. The tracks are excellent and the controls are easy to master - within minute my six year old was doing jumps, spins in the air, ramming cars off the track and activating his turbo boost!!! Its great fun and I enjoy playing it with him!! We have a couple of steering wheels for our controllers which certainly adds to the fun. Highly recommended for any Cars 2 fan.

What a fantastic game! I enjoy playing it a lot! So happy to have bought it! If you like racing, this is a game for you! You have lots of tricks to choose from. You also have personal training sessions where you can practise your driving. These little cars can do more than you imagine. You can choose a car before each game and you can choose the scenery of the race once you pass the first level - win the first race. Once you know how to control your car with your remote, it is a great fun! Graphics are amazing and the sounds are super!I use Wii racing wheel which helps quite a bit. Buy it and enjoy the race! The safest driving ever: on your TV screen.

Purchased for my 5yr old grandson for his 5th birthday, as he'd had the Wii and super Mario cart for Christmas. I was a bit unsure how this would compare to Mario cart, but have to say it is fab. For younger ones or the novice it take you on a practice lap that tells you how to get points and gain energy, the voices and characters are just like the film. it has different levels, courses and missions that will keep them entertained and is well worth the money. So if your looking for something other than Mario but just as entertaining this is deffinatly a "Best Buy" game. The whole family have enjoyed playing this, young and old.Would 100% recommend

My little brother had this game for Christmas from his dad, and he really enjoyed it, and he completed it within 2 weeks. When he went to bed one night after he had completed it, I thought I would have a go (and he still doesn't know I have played on his game). The graphics were good and the plot is the same from the movie, but my only issue is that I had completed it in 1 hour. It's a lovely challenge for young children, but when an adult gets his hands on the game, it is too easy.

I bought this game for my 5 year old son and he loves it. He has not looked at his Mario Kart game at all since he got this but I think that when he's mastered all the levels on Cars 2 he will probably go back to Mario. The game is set up to be a training simulator and you train to become a spy car just like Finn McMissile. You can train as Finn or a any other character from the Cars movie. I recommend this game if you like blowing cars up (but obviously not in real life).

There are other Mario Kart like games out there, but this is certainly one of the best. With plenty of features, complex tracks (with shortcuts), and some features (fancy jumps, 2 wheel driving, etc) that Mario Kart doesn't have. I was surprised at the quality of this game and would recommend it to those who already own Mario Kart and want something similar but new. If you don't have Mario Kart I'd recommend you get them both!

Great value for money. My 9 year old son had been after this game for ages, however, I wasn't keen to get it as he already has Mario Karts. That said, although it's a 'driving' game it's totally different to the one he had and neither of the kids have tired of it... Each level unlocks new characters providing motivation to continue playing. The different circuits around the world are also a good fun way of learning.

One of the best Wii games for children ever produced.I would recommend the kids age between 5 years and 15 years.Still great fun for adults.Really comes alive with multiplayer mode. You each need a Wii controller but 4 can play on a large TV screen. We have being playing it for over 6 years already.Even better if you use a HDMI adaptor and cable so you can play in high definition.

Fantastic game become a spy or the best racer in the world this game offers everything that was in the movie so if you have watched that you know what you can expect from the game. The game has many missions you start as a trainee special agent in chrome you then build up your ranking to release other cars and tracks great game highly recommended.

Great game with voice of Michael Caine which is great fun once you get your agent status which in all is a long winded process. When achieved the real fun begins with so many tasks to pursue. Highly recommended for adults and kids alike which can give hours of entertainment especially in turbo and firing rockets at opponents mode.

I have two boys who are just crazy about cars. The controls seem ok to them. Although I find them a little off. Although I don't play the Wii much unless I hear Mario kart. It holds their attention and if I let my eldest have his way, he would be on this all day. Good game if you have children that love Disney cars.
