I had an order for prints including frames & mounts to do for costumers and I was half way through it and 3 of the ink cartridges ran out nearly at the same time, so the order had to wait. Now I can understand people going to use third party inks because of the price. I have seen these refills systems and although they might be ok and can be chipped now, I still see the odd leek from them dying the inside of the printers. It’s like this; you have to weigh certain things up.I use my Canon Pixma Pro 100 with different high quality papers and images being a photographer and there is no way would I compromise neither the Printer, Image Quality and High Grade Papers with third party inks as when you add up the price of the above items, well in my opinion it just doesn’t make sense and many other photographers will agree 100%.These genuine inks do the business. If you’re looking at these inks and your saying “wow they are expensive” they are for one reason and that’s quality. Always worth every penny in my book. Simple.

Initially I thought £75 or so was very expensive for ink, but once I used it and saw how it last and worked out how much money I could make from the prints I am very pleased.I managed to print 30 A3 prints half B&W half colour before running out of ink, and that was only black, light grey and dark grey that I ran out of, the rest of the ink was almost all full. It cost me £16 for 30 sheets of high quality photo paper. So I worked out that I sell A3 prints for £12, which multiplied by 30 is £360, so spending £100 on Ink and paper really didn't seem like much. This means selling two lots of prints (30 and 30) would pay for the Ink to cover all 60 prints, the paper AND the printer (Canon Pro 100).Amazon is the cheapest, most secure place to buy this Ink in the UK, I certainly couldn't find any cheaper, so If you are looking at this ink questioning whether to buy the printer that requires this ink then I would say, don't worry, it lasts.

£58 is not cheap, and you know that they're diddling you. However - they do go quite a long way, and Canon actually guarantee the quality of the photos for about 30 years. I have a Canon Pixma Pro 100s, and when I printed out my first pics, I was blown away by the quality. For all the pro's, I have to say that the blacks are slightly out - but with a bit of fine tuning in Lightroom, it's OK. Anyway, if your'e a dedicated B and W person, your'e probable loaded, so go for the top of the range Epson printers - they're better at this.I have an older printer that I use ink from a third party in - they're good, but not as good as these.Well recommended, and I reckon kind of worth paying the extra money.

We all know that manufacturers make more money out of their ink and paper than they do on the original purchase of a printer.I had a HP Photosmart printer and used compatible cartridges for it. Although they worked fine and did not clog the print heads, the colour was never quite right and the prints came out too darkWhen I bought a Pixma Pro 100, I made the decision to use only Canon inks (I'm not sure you can buy compatibles anyway). Now the prints come out exactly as I see them on my calibrated monitor. These inks may not be cheap but they are definitely worth it if you value your work.

This product is a basic necessity for the running of my printer, so not really subject to a 'review'.I purchased three multipacks through Amazon UK, even though it involved getting my son who lives in London to forward them to me in NZ, because I had difficulty buying them here. I am well set up now for the forseeable future. It was a pleasure doing business with Amazon UK (even though they do not deliver directly to New Zealand), and with Inkubus, the firm supplying the ink cartridges.

if you want the very best prints then use this genuine Canon ink.Why spend a fortune on your Camera gear/Computer/Screen calibrater/Printer/Paper only to buy Non Genuine ink to spoil the prints and potentially kill the printer..The ink lasts a good while But Like most things in Photography, You pay a premium. £ 90 is a complete rip off for ink.... Then again.....so is paying £2000 for a lens...Suck it up - pay the money- enjoy your prints.

Obviously you will only buy these inks if you have the Canon Pixma Pro 100. They are very essential and these inks are a very competitive price. They are boxed in their individual boxes, not just in the plastic bags as some 'cheaper' inks. If you have this printer, then these are about the cheapest inks on the market, unless you want compatible inks, which are not recommended and could damage the ink jets on your printer.

Canon multi-pack. The box is filled with the inks in their individual retail boxes; so lots of unpacking to do but does mean you could resell any you don't need or just store on your shelf knowing exactly what it is.These are the original Canon inks and give the print quality that Canon designed for the printer.

This genuine Canon product is supplied at a very reasonable price when compared to that of other sources of the same product. I previously purchased a third party product which I had to return when the printer refused to acknowledge it. No such problems with this one so thumbs up all round

Needed a quality ink for professional finish. Test results so far, excellent. It would have been a great idea to have had these ink pots chipped so that they could have been used in those printers that use CL1-8 cartridges as the cartridges are the same fit?

2.12.2017

I would always recommend the original Canon cartridges if you require accurate colour rendition when printing photographs and using Canon printers. It does make a difference although none of us like the price we have to pay.. Why are they so expensive?

These were bought as a Christmas present for my husband who uses them regularly on his Canon printer for photographic work.He is very satisfied with the quality and performance of the printer in conjunction with these inks.

The ink is good but rather expensive. The printed result from the Canon PRO-100 is almost indistinguishable from the simpler ink system in my Canon MG50 printer. The A3 facility is rarely used.

As one would expect these are top notch cartridges. However they are expensive hence 4 stars, I have no choice but to buy them as non genuine cartridges destroyed my previous printer.

Tried cheaper "compatibles" but they simply didn't give good results on often leaked. Have used compatibles on a i9500 no problems but pro 100 more fussy - worth buying
