A replacement mantel for gas burning lanterns. Was used on a Coleman F1 lantern. This mantle is free from harmful radioactive isotopes found in older models but still requires activating outside as the initial smoke given off in preparing the mantle for the first time is harmful and produced in fairly large quantities. The reason for the four stars not five is because of the EXTREME fragility of the mantle once it has been prepared which makes getting the protective mesh cover of the lantern over the mantle a very tedious task.

Because of all the rain and wind in our area we purchased a Campingaz lamp and obviously needed spare mantles. They work really well and am very pleased with them

Go to France Fishing every year using Gaz lamps always need mantles you never know when you mite need them and this year we did and the job was done Terry Holt

How do you rate something that does exactly what it should ? A trusted make, not overly expensive but the lamp will not operate without one. Nuff said.

Only ever buy these for your lumostar to avoid disappointment. All others are I'll fitting or poorly constructed of cheaper materials. Enough said!

I have had Difficulty in finding mantles small enough for my Gaz lamp, these are fine and good quality - thank you.

I rarely change mantles. Trying to fit these was difficult with no instructions without damaging them.

Quite okay, but a faff, like almost all mantles. A bit of a tight fit on a Coleman lantern.

Seem well made and work well when burned in, time will tell about lasting ability.
