I like the design of these. No more grabbing the tip of the bottle with your teeth to open the bottle. There’s a membrane seal that prevents leaks until you squeeze the bottle, and there’s a way to lock it completely to make it watertight during transport. It has more parts than a standard bottle and is therefore harder to clean. There’s a silicone gasket, a sealing ring, and a plastic nozzle that you need to take apart to clean it completely. But not bad once you get the hang of it. The plastic piece is the hardest part to insert remove because it’s a tight fit and snaps into place.I got the larger size and really appreciate the extra few ounces per bottle. Overall, I really like the capacity, clean looks, and thoughtful engineering. The only critique is that it’s perhaps a bit too complicated, too many parts for a simple water bottle.

This 24oz bottle works very well. The spout is exposed but I haven't seen any dirt accumulate as other reviewers have noted. Its easy access so I chalk it down to personal preference. Only did a quick 30 mile so far ride so I can't comment on durability. I liked it enough to order a second one for my other bottle cage.Pros: It fits in my bottle cage perfectly snug. No amount of rough terrain concerns me. (if it doesn't a slight bend should do the trick. The no spill nozzle is fantastic. You can toss it around in the open position and not a drop will spill. Its easy to clean.Cons: Its more clear with red trim than white and red like the picture suggests. Still stylish. Not insulated.(Minor gripe)

This is one of those items whose functionality is easy to take for granted. But if you've ever had a water bottle leak in your bag, you'd know that you shouldn't be taking ANYTHING for granted. Well I am happy to report that this baby doesn't leak. It's slightly flexible so it fits well into the standard bottle holder without falling out and comes out without much of a fight. Locking feature is nice but it's sometimes hard to open (especially if you get confused about which way you're supposed to turn it, which I often do). Not very insulating at all but I didn't purchase it to be insulating so I don't mind. I would buy it again if I needed!

Like a lot of outdoor people I've had many water bottles. They leak , drip down Your face, get all cruddy inside and are a Pain to clean. Well there has been a change Ya'll ! I tried this camelback and am just thrilled ! YES over a water bottle. Note the open / close system on top. Even when open if turned upside down No liquid flows out. When You cover the spout with Your mouth and squeeze the bottle it delivers a good volume to You. I can leave it sit in the fridge for a few days with tea etc. inside and it just rinses out. Man I love these bottles. Should have had them 15 years ago.

This new Podium is 2mm less in diameter than the older ones (73mm vs 75mm). It really shouldn't be a problem for most cages, but if you have one that is already loose, consider that this one will probably be looser. For me, I actually find that the newer bottle fits my carbon cage better--still plenty snug but slightly easier to insert. The new valve has the nice feature of being under disassemble-able for cleaning. Also has a longer lever to turn it "on" and "off".Now that I know it is not too small, I will happily be replacing all my old bottles with the new model

Love this water bottle. Perfect size, and not messy. When riding you have to squeeze to get water out. This prevents unnecessary dribble while riding, which isn’t good if you’re in traffic and don't want an "OH CRUD" moment. It also has another shut off at the top that will completely keep any water from coming out - like a safety on a firearm! LOL.I highly recommend this water bottle for your bike water bottle holder, in your pack on a hike, on your belt for a run, or just sitting on the back porch. This is a very high-quality bottle that will last awhile.

The jet valve is awesome and the new version is pretty good over the old one, especially when it comes to cleaning. I’ve had my original podium for over 6 years, so they’re durable. This models jet valve is not nearly as controlled in terms of directionality. The old model I could squirt into my mount from a distance. If I try it on this model, the spray pattern is much wider and can be a pain on the bike.Questionable how accurate the volume is but according to weight it’s about 10% on mine.

I have loved this bottle so much I have bought two. BUT I bought them because they are spill-proof, holds lots of water and I can give them to my boys for nighttime water without worrying that they will end up with a bed full of water in the morning. I would buy these again and again, they last forever, durable and overall great to use.

I purchased the black/smoke bottle a fewwweks ago and have tested it in all of my carbon cages with success. It has a slightly different shape than the previous generation podium bottle and I find that it is easier to hold and insert and pull out of my cages(Elite, Arundel Mandible and my Zipp Carbon cages).

I wanted an insulated water bottle and Amazon ended up directing me to this one after checking a few models. This is a slightly thicker bottle then some but it is not like the insulated ones which hold water cold for a long time. Other then this issue the bottle seems to be good quality.

I have had many camelbak podium water bottles in my life, but this is the first time I've bought one with the new "easy to clean" top. That was my one complaint with the older model, that it sometimes got mold in the spout, but with this new feature I guess these bottles are perfect!

The closure is really tight, but it takes some getting used to: you have to open the bottle in the bidon holder first and then you can operate it with one hand. To close it first goes into the bottle holder and then you can close it again. A bit cumbersome and therefore only 3 *.

I already had a previous but transparent model. With water he had no problem but with isotonic he left the drum colored. I bought black Camelbak and I can say that for me it is unbeatable. I can not ask for anything more. It is better than any other without a doubt. Product 10

Nice bottle. Looks cool. Not sure what a couple other are talking about. This is a normal size bottle. It fits my Arundel carbon bottle cage snug. The previous Podium bottle model was actually larger than normal in diameter. This bottle should be easier to clean as well.

bushes plastic bushes expensive, the camelbak world .. but in fact the part is very good .. absolutely tight when closed and drinking turns out to be very easy .. no zoning, no vacuuming orgies .. light pressure and it flows and flows and flows
