We've used the plastic version of this water bottle for several years and had been happy with it - aside from the fact that it was plastic. I'd been planning to transition to stainless. When I noticed one of our Camelbak plastic bottles had developed a plastic-y aftertaste I went online to find a stainless alternative. And I discovered Camelbak had finally released a stainless kids bottle! The only difference I can tell is that the silicone valve is a little harder to suck water through for some reason. So it takes a more little work for my kids to get the water out. But the lids w/ valves from the Camelbak plastic bottles fit these bottles too, so you can always use those if you have older ones.Or you can just figure out exactly how to compress the new valve to get water through. I like it so much I plan to get one for myself because it's a more convenient size than my large adult-size stainless bottle. Thanks Camelbak (no, I didn't get anything in exchange for this review).

I’ve had this item for over 3 months now and I have to say I’m very impressed. I spent a long time reading reviews of sippy cups and a friend recommended this. My 12 month old would not take a traditional bottle, we went straight to sippy cups. He had an Eddy for water but I wanted something that would keep milk cold but that would be easy to clean. I have to say, not only does this keep milk cold for an exceptionally long time - nearly all day - but it also doesn’t leak, despite my, now 17 month old, working out if you push down on the spout hard enough it will leak.I’ve only given this a 4 star on durability because it does dent if dropped (or thrown) but it all works well.I’ve put the silicone spout and plastic straw in boiling water to clean and it didn’t break! This is a great cup and I imagine my toddler will continue to use this right up until school. I, myself, have a large eddy for water and I love it for the gym and in the car. Really recommend this brand!

We have been using the plastic version of this water bottle for years happily. I am trying to decrease our plastic use in general, particularly in what we use for food and drink. I ordered a few stainless steal bottles at the same time and these are still our favorites and definitely the ones my kids use the most. Another advantage of the stainless steal is that we can add a few ice cubes and it stays cooler longer than the plastic ones. I will likely be buying more of these. These don't leak when closed as long as all the parts are properly assembled which is very helpful when throwing a few water bottles in a bag.

These cups are great. They are leak proof when used with the lid provided. The spouts are universal but the lids are not. It says it will work with the other Eddie camelbak cups but it in fact ABSOLUTELY does NOT. It leaks everywhere with the regular Eddie camelbak cups. The seals are more heavy duty on the insulated cup closer than they are on the regular Eddie camelbak water bottles. They are leak proof when used with their provided lid. Only reason for the reduced star for leakproof is because it’s advertised as being compatible with other Eddie cups, which it, in fact, is not.

My toddler kept drinking out of my friends' kids' bottles like this (except the plastic versions), so I decided to get our own. I was happy to find they came in a vacuum insulated version as well. Even though these are twice the price of the plastic ones, I didn't hesitate since I (and my sons) love super cold water but hate the condensation. I lost the straw somewhere along the way, but this bottle still works without it, just need to tilt the bottle up as if drinking from a cup.

I love the Camelbak eddy bottles, and so does my 3 year old son. They are super easy to clean and replacement parts (bite valve, straw and lid) are super easy to find.I had bought the original, non-insulated Camelbak Eddy and found that during the summer months, his water would get warm pretty quickly. This stainless steel version solved that problem, it keeps his water nice and cold for hours. If I drop a couple of ice cubes in it before filling, the bottle stays cold all day.

My 2.5 years old really enjoy using this bottle. We've had it for about a month now and been using it at least 4 days a week, both at home and while we are out. Zero leak so far no matter how I put the bottle or if my toddler accidentally dropped the bottle. The only reason why I only gave it 4 starts is because 1 month in we have already got a couple of dents on the bottle coz we've dropped it. It doesn't affect the use of the bottle, just cosmetic.

This bottle is great and durable. My son has dropped it a few times and it has dents and dings but it still has ice in it when he gets off the bus at the end of the day. For the price this is so much better than the plastic version he had last year (same brand/style) except this is insulated versus only non-sweat, heavy duty, and has the benefit that I could engrave his name on the metal in case it is lost.

I love this. My son loves this. It keeps the beverage cold nearly as long as my hydroflask. My only complaint is that I wish I could take apart the top and really clean the silicone and let it dry. I always worry about bacteria/mold in places that I can't quite see or get to. I just try to keep an extra close eye on it and make sure to clean and dry it as soon as we get home. I would buy again.

Best kids drink bottle!! This is the perfect drink bottle for small kids. Keeps drinks cold or hot, is spillproof, and gives them the fun of a straw. We now own three of these and an adult sized one. Will buy again. This is also the only water bottle I could use when I had a dental emergency that all other bottles and cups caused great pain. Highly, highly recommend these bottles to everyone.

Love these bottles. I'm a foster parent and I have kids of all different ages from time to time. The only kids who had trouble with these bottles were 2 and 3 years old. They were struggling with the idea of sucking through a straw and kept tipping it up like a cup, causing it to leak. The 4 and up kids had no problems.

Great product stays cold when it’s super hot out. Straw is easy to clean. Keep an eye on the straw because it tears and can get swallowed. Needed straw replacement after one summer use. Used it most weekends in the summer. The straw replacements are great and comes with the cleaning brush for it.

Great cup as we have had many including the plastic ones. Slightly heavy for smaller toddlers. My only complaint is cleaning the lid. The design is inherently bad as there is a groove in the lid that you can't access or clean. It will eventually build up and you have to buy a new lid.

The only thing that I don’t like about this bottle is that it requires your kid to bite the straw in order for the liquid to come out. We’ve worked hard to break the habit so it’s a little confusing for our kid when he’s told not to bite this straws, except for this one...

We have one of the old kid's stainless that isn't insulated (two-walled). So this one will keep drinks cold in the summer. The straw is shorter than the other eddy varieties.CamelBak - Any chance of a stainless straw the right size for these??
