Of all the water bottles we've purchased/owned over the years, in my opinion these are definitely the best.My kids have been participating in a bunch of various sports for a number of years, so if there's one thing I've become something of an amateur expert on it's water bottles. Not by choice mind you, but because given they're kids we've managed own and subsequently lose about a thousand of them over the last 5-7 years. We've purchased replacements from a variety of stores, gotten our share as promo items from local businesses, and picked up a few at birthday parties. They tend to fall into two primary categories, the insulated bottles which are important for outdoor sports on hot days, and the regular water bottles like this one. We use the insulated bottles maybe a1/3 of the time, and non-insulated bottles the rest.Features that I deem critical:1) Durable - Our kids are rough on their water bottles, so this is important. These bottles fit the bill.2) Wide mouth for easy cleaning - This is a personal pet peeve because from time to time the kids will put juice or sports drinks in their water bottles and if the mouth isn't that wide they are a pain to thoroughly clean. The wide mouth on this water bottle is perfect It's easy to clean, and can fit the larger ice cubes I'll sometimes toss in.3) Mid-sized opening for drinking - Probably because they are still young, my kids often take some big swigs of water as they run off the field/court and a wide mouth for drinking means that often some drink spills around the edges and down their shirt. I don't see this being an issue for adults, though I prefer a spout that I can more easily put my lips around, and these bottle have that feature. But I'm also not fond of the bottles where you have to bite down on the spout to get water out because the water flow is often too slow. My kids often complain of this same issue.4) Lids which stay attached to the water bottle - I'm not sure if this feature is that important to others, but with a dozen or two water bottles bouncing around the house, kitchen, kids rooms, sports bags, cars, etc. it's not unheard of for a lid to go missing. I can't explain it, but it happens more often than you'd expect. I pull a water bottle out of the cabinet and then can't find the matching lid. Seriously annoying. So bottles like these with attached lids are a plus. It's important to note that both the larger lid and smaller drinking opening stay attached to the water bottle when opened, so neither will get misplaced.I know this is lengthy review for a water bottle, but I really like these things for all the reasons I mentioned above. They are a little pricey, but we've ordered some name/phone # labels to stick on them, to increase the likelihood that we get them back if they kids leave them behind.

I love this water bottle! I will take it everywhere, for errands, traveling, to the pool, anywhere. It holds plenty of water for me and most importantly, it DOES NOT leak. I have read a lot of reviews and tested it out and not one drop comes out. I think a lot of people writing these reviews don’t realize while filling it up, that some water spilled over the edges will pool up around the lid and then you got to take a drink and it drips. For those saying the whole bottle empties into their bags and gets everything wet, I think these people made the mistake of not closing it properly.I like that the lid is attached to the bottle, the bottle is dishwasher safe and lightweight, it’s in-expensive (I paid $9.06)and the sea glass color is beautiful. It’s a little more vibrant than the color appears online but still the perfect, refreshing color for me.My husband got me an 18 oz Yeti and although it works extremely well too, it’s very heavy and the whole lid detaches, which I am not a fan of. Yeti’s are much more expensive too.The only negative is that this bottle is so large that it does not fit in cup holders in my 2016 Town & Country minivan. My old van was a 2005 T&C and has adjustable cup holders, loved those. The newer van cup holders are not adjustable. However, I like this bottle so much that that issue is no longer bothering me. I will just have this bottle sitting with my purse on the front seat. It’s still close by and doesn’t leak, so I have now over looked that issue. Part of me wants the 20 oz/.6L bottle so that I can use it in the cup holders, I may eventually purchase it, we’ll see.Overall fantastic design, well made and works like it should. The price can’t be beat! Having this bottle encourages me to drink more water and I feel better. Highly recommend it!

For YEARS I have been looking for a 32oz bottle with a wide enough mouth, without a straw and that would not leak when shaken. Everything I found or tried was too difficult to clean, or had a cap that worked well for shaking OR drinking, but not both. I sometimes add powders such as creatine, l-glutamine, and taurine to my water; even though these powders are unflavored and sugarless, the bottle eventually gets slimy or moldy if not cleaned. I was re-using Powerade bottles but couldn't clean them properly. A Blender Bottle came closest to meeting my needs, but sometimes leaked, and the cap covering the spout only snaps on; the Chute has a little lid that screws on very securely. The spout has a delightful little curve that fits perfectly to your lip. The spout opening is big enough to chug from and fill from a faucet or water cooler, but small enough that you don't choke and unexpectedly throw water all over your face and neck if you tilt the bottle too sharply. The cap is uncomplicated enough to clean easily, and the main opening is large enough for a bottle brush or ice cubes. The cap has some cool features: (1) there's a little loop to carry it with; (2) the spout cover snaps into the loop, so it stays clean and you don't have to hold it out of the way while you're drinking or have it flopping around your nose, ears, eyes, etc; (3) the spout cover keeps the lid attached to the bottle so you can't drop or lose it (the lid). The only awkward thing about it is that it is slightly difficult to snap the cap into the handle. You have to slide it and fiddle around with it a bit. Once I get it positioned, sometimes I just leave it for the day, or until I need to shake it or transport it again.

I absolutely LOVE my 32 oz. CamelBak Chute Water Bottle. It met all the specific criteria I was searching for in a bottle. I wanted a water bottle with a wide-mouth opening. I felt this would be better for chugging water instead of sucking it from a straw-like opening. It's transparent which enables me to see just how much water I have or have not been drinking throughout the day. Since it's 32 oz. I only have to fill it twice to reach my goal of at least 64 oz. in a day. Initially, I didn't care about whether the water bottle came with a carrying handle but now after using it I wouldn't want one without.I hesitated on purchasing this bottle because so many reviewers said it leaked.I'm five days shy of having it a month, using it every single day, and it hasn't leaked yet. The description says you can close the opening cap with a half-turn but it's more of a full-turn. Perhaps some people aren't fully closing the cap which would result in leaking.I don't use a dishwasher so I can't say how well it would hold up on the top rack but it's supposedly dishwasher safe (top rack). The only "cons" is that it doesn't fit most cup holders in vehicles. It'll halfway fit in the cup holder in my 99' Jeep but none of the cup holders in my husbands 2017 Toyota Taco. That said, I feel like it's to be expected that a larger bottle wouldn't fit standard cup holders. Lastly, the cap holder is snug so it makes it a little difficult to snap the cap into the holder single handedly. Neither of these "cons" are true issues.TL:DR - It's awesome. Buy it!

This is a great water bottle!! It is definitely secure- it doesn't leak at all. I have no fears when I drop it in my purse or a work bag full of papers and my laptop. It holds a good amount of water which is a plus. I also love the the caps are attached so that they don't get lost or dropped. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that one if it's biggest selling points, the ability to stash the spout cap in the handle, doesn't work as well as it could. It is VERY hard for me to get it in there. I often have to try multiple times because you can only tuck it in there in a very specific way and it is a very tight fit. Many times I have just given up and drank with it flopping in my face because the time it takes me to take a drink is much shorter than the time it takes me to mess with that darn cap. I'm sure it is some sort of user error, and some of you will have no issue with this, but I find it harder than it should be and therefore annoying- but not enough to make me stop using it.Oh- and it isn't insulated at all so it sweats terribly in the summer if you have ice in there (which detracts from it being leakproof and prevents me from putting it in a bag during those times). Would be great if they would include a sleeve for this. If I could give it 3.5 stars because of the two complaints I have I would- but I don't think they are bad enough to bring it all the way down to a 3.

The CamelBak Chute is the ideal water bottle for me. It's extremely well made and available in a variety of colours and a few different capacities. All of the parts feel premium and to be fair look premium. I've been hunting for the right bottle and this is superb for the office and gym due to it's robust build. The lid has a handy grab hook that you could use to attach it to anything and it makes it really easy to grip with a finger whilst managing a few items walking about. The cap is genius. It screws off and clips into the carry hole in the lid. To stop you losing it there's a semi-rigid plastic harness which doesn't intrude on use at all.The 'chute'bit I guess is the drinking hole whihc lets a decent amount out whilst still being manageable. After a few months importantly the bottle doesn't make water taste disgusting like cheaper bottles can and do so in my opinion the build and function of this make it worth the money, I bought one for my wife and i find that we both drink more fluids now as we cart these around with us.I've recommended this bottle to a few people now and the parts can be replaced. This is a superb bottle worth every penny.

I have problems with drinking my goal of 13 cups of water a day (3L's). Bottled water is expensive and wasteful and tap water in a cup just doesn't motivate me. Plus it takes too long to go back and forth to the kitchen at work. This bottle solves most of those hurdles for me.I drink 3 of these (1 Liter if it's filled up) and I'm done! I try to knock one out by noon, another before I go home, and one more before I go to bed. It's not ideal but it works for me.As for the bottle itself, the carrying handle works great. I have a caribeener that I have my keys on, I can clip it to this easily. I also have a sling bag I take to the gym that I use that same caribeener/keys and clip my bottle to my bag.The bottle fills and drinks easily. It does't have a lot of spots that trap water when you fill. Just shake it once or twice and you're dry enough that your clothes don't get wet the first couple of swigs (I hate that). Cleaning is easy too, no complicated mechanism to mess with. The cap screws on tight and secure without much fuss in opening or closing. What can I say but it's a super fine water bottle that is durable and well designed.

Superior to Nalgene in every way. It's like CamelBak took a list of the "cons" of a standard 1L Nalgene bottle and specifically addressed them all with the Chute to make the most nearly perfect water vessel they could. Water sloshing all over your face with a Nalgene? Chute has a spout. No comfortable way to carry a Nalgene? Rubberized hole/handle on the Chute for easy two-finger carry. Threading annoying your lips with a Nalgene? Chute put the threading internal to the cap. Nalgene too fat to slip easily into the exterior bottle holder pockets on your pack? Chute is leaner and taller for an easier fit. No annoying bite valve/straw to clean, check.Wide mouth lid to allow for easy addition of ice or attachment of water filtration systems, check. Available in an assortment of colors, check. They really knocked this one out of the park!I had been a Nalgene fan for years until recently learning that they donate a significant amount to an organization that provides questionable medical services, so I was looking for an alternative use of my dollars. Thanks to CamelBak for making a great product and staying consumer focused!

My first was a lost-and-found. After scrubbing it inside and out, I loved it. Sturdy, holds a lot of water (or juice, or tea). Then, I lost it on a flight to Europe. So when I got back home, I ordered a new one through Amazon, because I had grown so attached to the one I'd lost. The only thing thing that bothered me about it was, I had to hold the cap down with my finger to take a drink. Not that big of a deal, especially once you get used to it. But still, a minor nuisance. So imagine how stupid I felt when this arrived, with instructions, and I learned that you can stow the cap in the handle. Duhhh. Not without some effort, mind you: You do need some finger strength to squeeze it in there. But I love it.It's huge, so it can sustain me on an hour's drive (where I can reload), and it's tough. I've dropped that thing so many times, and nary a crack. It won't fit in any car cup holder I've seen, but it's not awkward, either: I've always found that it'll sit there, barely in the cup holder, but not going anywhere.I've seen dozens and dozens of water bottles through lost-and-found, and this is the best.

An good office/gym water bottle. But... just good.Pros:- The way it pours into your mouth is satisfying. I don't know any other way to put this but it actually is- The cap and lid are very tight. I have never had a problem with leakage.- Having 1L in a managable-size bottle is really nice. Less trips to the water cooler which means walking past Kristen's desk less which means you think about her less; but it still hurts. It still hurts, Karen.Cons:- The cap leans back and snaps back into the lid... which i guess is nice so it's out of your way when you drink but it just seems clunky, and the rubber washer/connector thingy that it's attatched to is just not a very great solution to holding the cap on.- The actual color combo that I got, blue, green and grey. Doesn't look very professional and people always look at it whenever I'm in the water cooler area. Stop looking at me. Stop judging me. I'm trying the best I can. What has she told them? What has Karen told them that they look at me that way?

I liked it so much that hubby grew jealous and wanted one. My son wanted one. The PTO looked on with thirst and their inferior landfill bottles. I am the queen. I stay hydrated. I need to drink 2 of these a day to get the reccomended amount of water. So when I bought 2 more for the fam, I was happy. They too can experience the happies that came out of this majestic bottle. The fam hasn't used theirs yet but that means I've just gtot more n other colors so I can accessorize. They are spillproof if you get the tops on all the way. If you're like me, you'll hurt your wrist trying to screw the top on and still have a trickle of water run down into your bosom for the gaggle of women to gossip about.Atleast I'm not in the floor BARBARA, reaching for the top of the plastic bottle you've dropped 15 times. You say that bottled water is cleaner well germs roll around on the floor, don't they? Don't even get me started on how bad that is for the environment!

I love this bottle. I have kind of an obsession with finding the perfect water bottle, and I think the search stops with this one. I got the purple one. I was a little worried about leaking just from reading other reviews, but I've shaken this thing every which way with various levels of water and not a single drop was spilled. The lid is a little funky in that you can pop it on without really sealing it, and it's hard to tell at a glance if it's twisted on or popped on, so you have to be careful in that respect. My favorite part is the capacity. Since it holds 1 liter, I'm doing so much better with drinking enough water. My goal is to fill it up and finish it twice a day, and this bottle is really making it easy.I love that there isn't a straw since those things are hard to clean thoroughly. I also washed this bottle in the top rack before using it and it came out just fine. I'd recommend this bottle to everyone in every color, I love it.

I purchased this item twice it was so wonderful the first time! I actually had to dispose of the original because of my own lax in cleaning it properly, so I would HIGHLY recommend sticking this thing in the dishwasher after every use. But the product itself is sturdy and washes very well in the dishwasher. It is surprisingly insulating for having no obvious insulation, and it keeps my drinks cold for a while when I load them up with ice, whereas other bottles would lose the strength of the coolness rapidly. This bottle also doesn't sweat much when it's full of an icy beverage! It's got a great wide mouth for ease in drinking or pouring. The only downside to this bottle is that there is no grip or contour for fingers, but I don't find that I have difficulty keeping hold of it because, again, the sweat is minimal and it's not often slippery. Great product, will probably be buying an extra in the future - again!!!

This may be the best water bottle I have owned. I have taken this bottle everwhere. As rough as I am on these things, this bottle has taken a serious beating. I have dropped it full of water, and figuring before it hits the ground that it will crack, but to my surprise it doesn't. It has barely even scratched. Two fingers fit easily around the handle to make carrying comfortable. The handle is made so that once you unscrew the cap, it can be pressed into the handle, so that you can drink without it getting in the way. However, unless you want the cap getting seriously in your way, make sure you push the cap back into the handle. I've been using this bottle for a while now. Its a nice tough bottle. The threads for the cap being on the inside of the opening make the outside smooth and comfortable form which to drink. All and all, I am happy with it. I would purchase this bottle again if I ever needed another.

I was an avid Nalgene user and decided to try out a Camelback. I dislike the idea of having to suck out of the straw mouthpiece that is normally associated with Camelbak products, and I want to clean as little pieces as possible (hence my love for Nalgene 1L bottles.) I was excited to find the Chute which seems to be what I'm looking for! I was nervous after reading other reviews about it leaking even though the website said it is a leak-free bottle. I've had it for a few weeks now and it does not leak as long as you really twist the cover tightly on. That isn't even the reason that I gave it 4 stars as I think most leaking is human-error.The feature of storing the small cover in the handle is a little hard to do.I think it is getting easier to snap in but it does take a while!Besides having to tighten the top tighter than I'd like, I love this bottle. Go for it!
