Not sure if Byron are aware how these products are being sent out? Package comes with chrome cover and bell push lightly glued together and a transparent back plate. In a separate plastic bag within the blister pack are screws, wall plugs and a bulb(?)Firstly the bell push that is glued or rather gummed to the chrome outer cover needs to be pushed out to break the seal and the gum needs to be cleaned off. The bell push can now be pushed back in (it has lugs on it so it can only go in two ways) and a quarter turn will lock it in place, so no gum required!Now we come to the light, why on earth do you have to fit it yourself? Well this is probably because the person who had to glue in the bell push didn't know how to fit the bulb either.

Looks nice and works well but as other reviewers have said, what a pain to install the bulb if you want it illuminated. Turn the white base a quarter of a turn to remove it, then you’re presented with a space to insert the bulb. The problem then is how you get it connected and staying in place. I ended up undoing both the screws and removing the two metal side clips completely, then making the bulb wires into a V shape, putting the bulb roughly in place before clamping the bulb wires with the metal clips. Fine if you have small fingers but mine are like bananas. Why the manufacturer has decided on such an incredibly fiddly design I have no idea... using an MES bulb would’ve been so much simpler.

This really is a nice looking doorbell. It has a clear plastic base which is screwed to the wall/door frame, the highly polished, metal casing then fits on to that by means of a small grub screw underneath. Simply unscrew the connectors slightly, slide the wires around them and tighten. Brilliant.......however.......if you want it to illuminate as advertised be prepared for some fun and games installing the bulb!!! Had it not been for a couple of the reviews on here I wouldn't of had a clue and probably would of missed the bulb completely, which is in the bag containing the screws. And I consider myself to be quite "handy" !!Once you've managed it though it gives off low orange glow which looks

This bellpush is the best I could find. It has a plastic base but a sturdy metal from. It is not a mere matter of joining the wires and screwwing it in place. Unfortunately there is a bulb to fit which is not connected. From blogs, I learned, after the fact, that a bulb is included but I could not find it. Perhaps I threw it away with the packaging. So I had to buy 3mm filament bulbs and fit them, with difficulty, myself. However, it was worth it. It is so much better than the fully plastic bellpushes.To the manufactrers, I say, highlight the presence of the bulb on the packaging. To those considering buying,

This looked easy to fit and looked nice in the chrome finish. However, took 5 mins to replace the old bell push and then found it was not lit so had to take it apart again and found no bulb in it. Read some of the comments here and found that the bulb was separate and in with the screws! I nearly threw it away so check when received. Followed the guidance of others and found it a real nuisance to fit the bulb and get it to work.Why oh why do the manufacturers not fit it when they assemble the item. And if not why not include infromation in installation details?Overall pleased with it afterwards.

Although the description says that it's illuminated, mine was missing the bulb and Amazon are looking into this. I bought some bulbs from B&Q and fitted one myself. The circle around the bulb is illuminated all the time except when the push is being pressed. It may be that the other reviewer had wired theirs incorrectly and that's why bulb does light except when pressed. Apart from the fact it was missing the bulb (which is a big minus point), it works and now I know people are at my door.

This doorbell looked stunning and was exactly what I was looking for...however the installation and fitting of this "micro" bulb was horrendous!!!By the time I had bent the ludicrously short wires into a position to make contact with the terminals one of the wires "fatigue fractured" and snapped off. I therefore had to order a replacement unit to harvest the bulb !!!!A beautiful doorbell really spoiled bu not having the bulb integrated into the circuit!!!

I brought this to replace a crappy plastic doorbell which stopped working as water got into it and corroded the connecting wires. Once my new doorbell was fitted, It looks stylish and looks good and has weathered rain as it's exposed and not under our porch. I used a clear sealant around the edges to give it further waterproofing....so far, all is good...I've had it fitted for 2 months and it still looks and works as it should...Excellent product.

I plug this yesterday and I quite like that in the night we see the Bell Push light, it's a very small light so don't expect to see the light much in the daylight but still when you press the button the light goes off that help the user to know that something happened.I have put so tape over it to make it waterproof because there is a small gap between the wall and the Bell Push container but apart of that I am very happy

Had new front door fitted, Red with gold fittings. Needed new bell push to replace previous black plastic item, found this one. Received in excellent time from seller.Fiddly to fit on to remaining cable. Comes with a night light - bulb is very small! and adds 'fiddliness' of fitting to cable termination.Excellent item, matches gold door furniture - Brownie points earned fro she who must be obeyed!!

This had a "well made" feel to it, not plasticky at all and the chrome looks good for many years service in all weathers.I had a small fault in thaty 1st one had a faulty light bulb but will not hesitate to get another identical one (considering how good it looks/feels I will most likely get another to have for a spare when this one needs replacing - usually because the tiny light bulb fails!).

I originally gave this bell a bad review because it didn’t light up along with another customer but I have since discovered that that my door fitter didn’t see the bulb because it is very small and discarded it and I now have to bye another bulb (not cheap) so take care when opening the packet, it’s a very attractive bell and once the bulb is in I’m sure it will look great.

Love this doorbell button .Really nice looking button for doorbells !Polished Chrome finish with a replaceable bulb inside that illuminates your doorbell so people can see where it is at night .Really easy to installThis has worked flawlessly and the finish is still absolutely perfect .Great value for money.

The old more expensive one had been in place about five years and fell apart, the button flew off into the undergrowth, the replacement was a ten-minute job. The absence of washers in the contacts to hold the bell wire was a disadvantage, I have a selection so added two of them which took that bit extra time.

This item is well made and good value for money. The most anoying thing is they provide the bulb loose and you have to fit it yourself and it’s very fiddly!! Also, the manufacturer doesn’t provide any instruction on how to fit it.The only other thing to add is the light the bulb provided is very weak.
