What a clever lamp! I was using axa luxx 70 (which has some pretty good reviews) for more than a year before moving to this lamp. The difference is day and night... The beam of this lamp is so nicely spread! If you're cycling in a lighten area, you won't probably notice that it's on (don't worry, traffic will definitely notice you). And i was underwhelmed when i first tried it in the city lights. It seemed to be much less powerful then the Axa. But then i drove off the street lamps into a forest path and OMG! I never thought i will have a dynamo lamp that will give me enough comfort to cycle in a forest, but this one is more than great. It's just clever. When you don't actually need it,you won't notice it's on. But when you get to an area where you do need light - boy does this lamp performs... Yes, it's not up to the level of my rechargeable Moon X-Power 330, but still, this is a dynamo lamp.Fitting it was a joy compared to Axa too. The build quality looks amazing. I really hope this lamp will last. I will have to put it under some real stress as i commute to work in rain snow and sun.

While many like the SCHMIDT Edelux II light, the IQ-X is 10%+ brighter and has additional features, like side visibility lighting and a compartment the rear light wiring connection, keeping things tidy and out of the way.I've been using it for winter commuting for 2 months now and it provides an excellent light, with superior optics making up for what it lacks in raw power against a trail light, due to a better light spread. To address the flicker issue raised by a reviewer above, I only see this at very low speeds, 5MPH and below. It will depend on the output of your dynamo, I have a SCHMIDT SON 28 hub dynamo,a lower power output might move that figure up a few MPH.The stand light seems fine to me and lasts about 5 mins.

In urban regions, the stock worked fine, but when I travelled to countryside I realized the stock light did not have enough coverage, so I bought this.In short, this light covers an area that is about 7-8times larger than the stock. extremely powerful and useful. I would recommend this to anyone who need to ride at night.

I've got three generations of B&M lights, and the light and beam from this is definitely the best. It's really solidly made and looks good too. Only thing that I dock a star for, it flickers at low speeds, and the stand light doesn't seem as bright, or last as well as the previous generation, which isn't great.
