An attractive, if basic , bottle - there's no fancy label, box or promotions here. The bourbon itself has a pleasant oaky aroma; it's sweeter than most Scottish whiskies with an almost spicy taste you don't get with Scotch. It's very drinkable, although obviously, don't expect it to taste too much like Scotch. It has a good, strong kick and is good with ice or some water. I imagine it would be good with mixers too, if you're prepared to adulterate fairly expensive spirits, although I prefer this straight/neat.Whether or not it competes it with single malt Scotch like Glenrothes, Macallan, Glenlivet etc. is largely a matter of your own preferences, especially when you consider it costs about £40,

i am writing this review of Bulleit 10 Year Old Whiskey as someone who enjoys a tipple now and then rather than a seasoned connoisseur of whisky.The presentation of this "frontier whiskey" is straightforward and honest looking - no fancy labels or claims on the bottle. Once opened the aroma is sublime, the adjective of smokey/oaky is certainly applicable. What I particularly like is that as much as it has an obvious alcoholic kick, this whiskey also has a definite flavour which is sweeter than Scotch Whisky with a smooth, spicy/burnt caramel aftertaste which makes it dangerously moreish. Both the aroma and taste evoke the atmosphere of the Southern States to which I'm a frequent visitor.To me

Lots of lovely complicated flavours with an underlying sweetness.The bottle is very butch and wonderfully old fashioned. I had a look at their website to try and work out it if it was a real brand or a made up one like Bombay Sapphire. Hard to tell but tastes good and looks good.Unlike a Scottish whiskey the mash is made of corn and rye not just rye. The flavours reminded me of Isla whiskey without the smokiness. It is pretty delicious and has a real kick.If you are a regular whiskey drinker I believe you would enjoy this. Bear in mind though that it is definitely sweeter.Update: I cannot tell you how popular this has been with all the guests! All gone now and on my husband's Christmas List

Honestly after trying this stuff I find the regular Bulliet pretty blan now and I like the regular. Are there more complex whiskeys out there? Maybe, but for me this gives me what I want a truely powerful and intense expression of a Bourbon. The ten years gives a much bolder more intense experiance, smoother, the rye and oak comes out very powerfully you get the vanilla sweetness and some fruit notes but it’s really bout the rye and oak with an improved finish. It’s not a light sipper like something like Woodford reserve its bold and intense. Great expression, great Bourbon deffo one of my favs

This Bulleit Bourbon 10 Year Old Whisky is a real treat for those who enjoy bourbon and want to try something a little different. My partner is a fan of Bulleit Bourbon and was pleasantly surprised by this variety. He is not normally one to drink Scottish whisky but he did enjoy this drink from Bulleit. A little more sweeter and mixes well with cola (I think that is probably sacrilegious!) Also mixes with ginger ale and as it is with ice. A lovely drink, that can be enjoyed as it is or by adding a mixer. Price is reasonable for this 70cl size and the bottles looks good.

This is a rather nice Bourbon whiskey - it tastes very similar in style to Jack Daniels, but there is no hint of harshness that the JD gives. It's distilled at 45.6% ABV and that's just a bit too strong for my taste so add a couple of ice cubes and the taste is really pretty good. As far a Bourbon's go this a really good one. There's a hint of smoke in the taste and it goes down well!

A very simple bottle that belies the fact it is quite pricey. I don't drink whisky so can't comment, but my husband likes whisky - he is no expert, but he says it has a delightful rich and warm taste. He has just finished a bottle of Welsh Peat Whisky that he loved, and he says this is equally as good in a different tasting way.

I was expecting a nice presentation tin so was a little surprised that quite a nondescript bottle arrived. Though to be fair all the effort goes in to producing a beautiful tasting whisky. To me, it was slightly sweeter than other whiskys I have supped in the past, which makes it even nicer.

A big, distinctive Bourbon at full strength. 45% ABV, with an almost honey'd, spicy taste, quite lovely and a great Bourbon with a lovely nose and a lingering palate and an extremely enjoyable experience. Very highly recommended and a real find.

A really nice alternative to jack daniels if you enjoy bourbon. It is a reasonable price and tastes great. Very sweet and goes down easy. Would make a nice treat for a bourbon lover in your life and won’t break the bank. Highly recommend!

Bulleit Bourbon is one of my favourite bourbons, I've had this bottle before and it's certainly one for any bourbon enthusiasts, full of flavour and many notes to discover, give it a try! :)

Strong, distinctive flavour that sings on the tongue. Has a spicy and smokey after taste that lingers. Easy to drink and certainly well rounded.

I’m a big bourbon drinker and tasted a few but this is a lovely bit of splash was meant to save it for Xmas but polished it off in two nights ?

Oaky, spiciness from the rye, buttery, treacle. Loads of flavour and very drinkable.
