This is absolutely fantastic, when I was first supplied with this I thought of some of the playsets I owned as a child and among them was a Paul Daniels Magic Set and a haunted castle, this My Magic Castle set combines the two things brilliantly. I also thought it would be the perfect playset for Halloween (Paul Daniels used to have a magic show screened during Halloween and I recall it as a special event) as it can be an occasion for family gatherings and because of the association with magic and tricks. The castle really is a great idea as it provides not just a focal point for any magic tricks or illusion show a child who has learned some of the tricks can put on for friends or family but it also serves as a great storage solution for the tricks.Much as I loved the Paul Daniels magic set I owned it was a boxed set of trick sand pieces did get mislaid and lost when they were taken from the box and transported from place to place, this set allows for better storage of the tricks and keeping it all together. The instructions and directions cards are mainly pictorial and easily understood, great for any parents or adults who are expected to learn the tricks first and teach them or for any enthusiastic child who wants to engage in independent play learning a few tricks to impress others and keep them guessing as to how they are performed. The tricks themselves are classic slight of hand, transference, small ball magic types of things and a magicians wand is included for any little magicians performing them. A real piece of fun trick set. Recommended.

I always wanted to be a magician when I was a kid. Maybe If this My Magic Castle from Buki was around way back then it would have helped kick start my dream. Its a really well made little toy. Basically the castle acts as both a storage box for numerous trick components and a prop to perform tricks with. It all comes with some very easy to understand pictorial instructions that provide a step by step guide on how to perform each trick. Our 6 year old grandson is well able to understand these instructions without any help from grown ups. He is absolutely fascinated by the tricks themselves too and is enormously pleased with himself when he masters performing them.As well as a cup of tea or coffee anyone who visits the house now gets a free magic show as part of the hospitality experience. As I've already said this is a really well made and conceived to. I'm sure it will continue to amuse our grandson and his audiences for a long time to come.

As a child, I was given quite a few magic sets that I used once or twice but then ended up gathering dust on the shelf. This one is one that I definitely would have played with more as a child -- and, I'm happy to say, it's also gone down well with my son. It's basically a traditional magic set in which you can do various tricks involving cards, squashy balls, etc, but with the added interest that many of the tricks are based around things you can do with the large plastic model of a castle that's surprised. It has secret doors, etc, that are used in tricks, many of which are really interesting, and, for a child, impressive. The combination of magic and the castle is certainly making this set a winner as far as we are concerned.Very good.

This magic set has 10 tricks all associated with the castle building and the draw, doors and turrets. There's a large guide paper for each trick and all this is summarised in a separate booklet. The latter will allow adults to quickly learn the tricks. The tricks themselves are generally mechanical using various in built devices in the castle. As such only a limited amount of coordination is required and so this would suit quite young chooses. I guess age 6 and on would be about right. For a child over 10 I think the kit would be too basic and a more general magic set would be better. My package was missing one of the two foam balls it was meant to come with. I'm dropping one star for this.Otherwise a worthy toy.

A great bit of fun! My eight year old daughter has been really quite taken with this. There are some on-line resources to help understand how to perfect the magic tricks. The guide book is all pictorial (so younger children who haven't quite mastered reading can make a decent attempt at getting the trick right first time), but I have to say it's quite well done and my daughter was able to make a decent attempt at each magic trick quite quickly. As an adult it's either worth working alongside one's child to hone the trick, or better still, have a good look through it all before handing it over.Either way, it's great. My daughter loves the castle theme linking it to the Transylvania films for children!

Our 6 year old really enjoyed this castle set (well more of a European chateau- it’s made by a French company). She loves performing and as a result this really appealed to her. There’s plenty of problem solving involved following the instructions (with plenty of Of easy to follow pictures) and video tutorials and then finally performing a selection of the tricks in front of an audience (i.e. me and any other family members around). For her age group it’s pitched perfectly as she was able to follow most of the instructions and put on a decent performance. It now comes out whenever any visitors arrive at our home and I’m sure it will be well used over the festive period.

come on everyone at some point in their life had a paul daniels magic set for xmas and loved pretending they could do all the tricks. well this is really similar but has the added advantage of coming in a castle which provides a backdrop for your magic show and storage after instead of the floppy paul daniels box !!! so no issues with losing any pieces.simple easy to grasp tricks with ease manily picture instructions, esy for adults to learn and then to teach the kids if needed. It is well made and will last well. a simple timeless classic gift. ideal for the budding dinamo in your life.

This is a fantastic magic set that comes in a castle - which in itself houses some of the props for the tricks. It also provides storage for the tricks which is a great idea, because most of the magic sets we've had before didn't have this feature and pieces were always getting lost. There are great, clear instructions provided which are easy to follow and the tricks are so engaging and enjoyable. Put on a show for Christmas!

A lovely set with a range of activities - they suggest 4+ but I’d say that’s too young to get the most out of it. Maybe at that age with a lot of assistance and explanation - but really from around 7 I’d say it starts to make sense as they will get the full aspects of it.It’s well made and very colourful and overall a good set.
