I found the BT 11AC WiFi extender very easy to set up and it solved a not spot problem. The LED signal strength indicators make determining a suitable midway location for the extender a doddle. Its receiver appeared to be better than that in my HP laptop as I found I was able to locate the extender within the area where my laptop was struggling to obtain a signal from the BT hub. Having set up the extender the next step is to log onto its signal. When within the area served by the extender on your laptop etc you need will need to search for networks and log onto the extenders output. The extender uses the same ID as the BT hub preceded by EXT2.The logon password being the same as used to log onto your BT hub.I bought the BT 11AC refurbished from the-phone-outlet it was as new at a nice price and with a 12 months warranty. I am very pleased with my purchase. It solved my not spot problem and was easier to set up than other extenders that I have set up.Read full review...

If you have one of the BT dual-band routers that fails to do what the box claims and you can't even get a signal in the next room the 750 version of this extender is a far better and cheaper purchase. If you have multiple floors in need of a boost without resorting to Cat5 then this 1200 extender is a very good solution. Both models are very easy to setup. True plug and play. Just flick the switches to the required settings and press the Router WPS button and then the Extender WPS button and the devices will sort themselves out.Excellent products. At either 2.4 or 5 bands.

I've set up a cctv camera at the back of my property and although the camera connected to my BT hub6 it was very poor and took ages to review any footage or would time out.I purchased the WiFi booster and now have a great connection and get immediate feedback from the camera.Setting it up was relatively easy but the information supplied says to use the password that came with the booster, this doesn't work as you use the same password as the main hub. On the 5ghz setting the unit showed 'too far' so I couldn't use this but no problem at 2.5ghz.

Couldnt get wifi in bungalow bt with this it solves prob. Tho when doors shut red light is on saying 2 far but still wks so im not using up my contract wifi on my mobile when should be able to get all thru house. Where as could have done thru B.T but that would have meant changing our contract & we already unlimited would have cost to change when only half way thru contract. Only realised how bad after having an operation & needing to rest in bed & using all my mobile allowance for first time eva!!! Worth it!

I live in a house of 4 floors and although I just recently got the new fibre optic broadband it could be a little slow in certain parts of the house. Since purchasing the extender it has made a big difference. I was sceptical to start as I thought even from reading the Reviews it wasn't going to be easy to set up but it took just 10 -15 minutes to do. Also if I should change my router again in the future I can use this extender as my previous booster could only be used with the router that I had

This extender is very effective in reaching places in my home where the main router doesn’t reach, I have a return out the back of my house and it reaches the back room with a strong connection for tv streaming, mobile phone and iPad usage with WiFi. Great product would recommend, easy identifiable usage, my only recommendation for improvement is with the instructions as to connect your router to the extender, type in home router password connect your device via the extender to your device.

This has proved to be a very good unit: set up was easy with my Sky Q box, and the signal to the bottom of my medium-sized garden has proved to be good. The ideal location turned out to be in my garage, which is just under mid-way between house and garden. The signal successfully penetrates the upvc garage door and house French doors to the already-installed Sky booster, and, in the other direction, through the brick wall of the garage and an insulated upvc wall of my garden building.Recommended.

While it easily found our Home Hub, once we got it connected, it decided to re-write our settings. Rather than just boosting our wifi as we'd set it up (custom name, so we could find it easier), it renamed the connection (back to factory?) and changed the password on us. My partner had to connect to our home hub with a ethernet cable in order to reset our settings.Might work better for someone who hasn't changed the settings on their home hub, but we're now looking for a stupider extender.

It is a good little device and works well. however the connection isn’t always consistent. sometimes it would say the connection is perfect but then it would switch and say it’s too far away even though i haven’t moved it. i think this is due to doors opening etc. The blue LED indicators on the front are very useful and easy to read but if only there was a night mode or a way to turn then off at night as they are very bright in my bedroom!! Very easy to set up, all round good product.

We bought it because our BT home hub 3 range was weak in places. Took a couple of goes; just follow the instructions. You plug it in near the router and wait for the light to stop flashing. Then you unplug it and take it further away. We took it to the kitchen. The nice blue light goes round and then stops at too close, too far away, or just right. When you're happy with the location go into the settings on each device you want to use and link it to the new 2.4GHz address. Works great.

This is the first device I have used which will give me a good Wi-Fi signal around the entire house. It extends your existing signal rather than using your mains wiring, is very easy to set up and uses the same password as my Virgin Superhub. You can position it anywhere in the house, just plug it in where the indicator lights show you is the best location. I now get a good signal anywhere in the house from the Range Extender and have no need to keep changing Wi-Fi setup. Wonderful.

Great distance works fine of to close aswell good speeds last booster gave 8mbps on 80mbps connection this one give 46mbps speed out of 80mbps that's on 2.4ghz connection 5ghz switch give about 70mbps but if had drop out connection stayed but no connection on device unless reconnect but the 2.4ghz switch on 5ghz wifi signal works best and for distance use 2.4ghz and 2.4ghz wifi signal but looks very nice design hope this helps people decide I'm with vodafone fibre worth the money

Recently had a new boiler and Netatmo wireless thermostat installed. The wireless thermostat connected to my WiFi immediately but the relay that is activated by the thermostat did not. I installed the BT 11AC Dual band N1200 extend, rebooted my router and everything connected no problem. Easy to follow instruction and easy setup. My router is located in a bedroom at the front of the house and the extender in the kitchen at the back of the house All internal walls are brick.

Bought this after our mobiles lost WiFi connection mysteriously and costly bills for excess data usage. Cue much fiddling about, splitting the broadcast band, and discovering that WiFi signals had been upgraded to 1200.This works out of the box, just follow the instructions. It will generate new WiFi signals that your existing passwords will work on. An excellent unit, but it doesn't compensate obviously for your broadband dropping out, which ours does frequently

I needed Wi-Fi in the garden and now I have it. When I first powered up the extender I tried the auto-connect function but for some reason it did not want to communicate with my Wi-Fi - I followed the instructions and set it up manually which was really straightforward. Finding the best placed socket in the house to plug it into was a bit more challenging but after a bit of trial-and-error I found a place where it works well. I've now got the connection I needed!
