These handle grips were to replace some modern rubber grips on my dutch bike and give a more vintage look. It improved the look of my bike. The handle make for a bigger girth and more substantial grip.I bought the black version. The leather grip were not as black as hoped but after a few months it has darkened and actually is now ageing authentically to look as if it came with the bike! It has a nice patina about it.Some have mentioned about the actual leather rings of the grips moving after a while. It's one of those organic wonders and character of real leather - it gives and needs adjusting. The rods inside the grip need tightening a bit - but you will have to first loosen the start ring (not to be mistaken for the end ring).

When I got these, I was concerned that the texture was a bit too stiff to be comfortable, but it turned out to be just perfect. Apparently soft grips aren't necessarily the key to comfort. After reading other reviews, I was careful when tightening the screws that keep the grips from rotating. I had no issues with stripping, and the grips are on very securely. They look really good and match nicely with my Brooks saddle, kinda looks like I made an effort to coordinate the appearance of my bike :D

I just love these things, beautiful addition to Pashley sovereign, after a short amount of wearing in, very comfortable too. They are very large and long, but I did not need to shorten them to fit on the bike, I imagine that some bikes would need the adjustment.

Advertised as black but they are actually a mixture of neutral leather colour and grey. However, they still look good, were easy to fit and give a nice positive grip.

Very nice grips. Be sure you get the correct metric hex key for installation. You will need to tighten screws every now and then as well

These are not for just any bike, but if you are rebuilding an older bike as a casual cruiser, they are perfect!
