I had such high hopes for this - it looked excellent when I first looked at it. Unfortunately it basically fell to bits on its first use. Initially it was excellent - simple to assemble and caught the wind with only the lightest touch. My daughter and I had a very happy hour with it and it did look spectacular.But.The first problem was that the material started to fray quite badly. About half an inch off the bottom of the kite. Not too bad now but if that's from less than an hour's use what it's going be like by the end of the summer? Secondly, the kite has a spine based on a fibre glass pole running it's length. This is held in place by two stitched pockets at the top and bottom of the kite.

Much better quality materials than other kites, but it did take me an hour to adjust the string to get it stable in flight. I've binned the instructions so can't check, but I found it only flew stable if the diagonal struts are assembled so they're behind the upright strut. Once I worked that out and spent a while adjusting the position of the ring on the up-down string, it flew well.However, it does need to be flown. A drop in wind will see the nose drop and line go loose. You need to tug the line occasionally to ensure it doesn't stall and dive nose first. Also, don't let it go too high as the sag in the line makes it hard to pick up the slack if the wind does drop.

This is by far the best kite I have ever had. It is extremely well made, very light, durable and very easy to assemble, you only need to put two struts into place and away you go. The kite also comes with its own stuffsack. The kite almost launches itself as soon as you hold it up and is very stable in the air and truly beautiful to look at. Quite a few passers-by commented on it, and we never got tired of watching it in the sky. We flew the kite on a gusty day and managed to keep it in the air even when the wind died down. It provided an afternoon of entertainment for us and our young boys (aged 3 and 4), who managed to keep it in the air as well. If I could award this kite 10 stars instead of 5,

Fantastic kite no need to adjust flew first time by us and our 5 yr old on holiday, had loads of comments too! The only reason why I have given it 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the edges of the wing tips fraying after first use, not dramatically so, but still a shame, maybe we were unlucky, but it flies great so can't really complain!

Great Kite and my daughter loved it. I've tried to fly kites on a few occasions throughout my life and have never been able to fly one. This one went straight up and stayed up. Even my two year old daughter could keep it flying... Maybe I just had good luck the first time but definitely would recommend for the little ones.

purchased for a 3 yr old girl for her birthday. she loves watching it and very easy for her and her friends to use independently. good quality material and ready to use in 2 minutes the first time, 10 seconds after attachments fitted. Only downside is when wind is less the ring needs adjusted to get into air and keep up.

Perfect present for a small girl. Very robust, which it needed to be on the windy day we first used it. It was certainly stronger than the rated windspeeds advised in the instructions, but although it crashed a few times, no damage was done. Really good materials and as a result a happy granddaughter!

Great kite for my 5 year old daughter, she'll run up and down with it for hours.Only annoyance is that the strings needed adjusting on the kite before it could be flown, it simply would not fly and it took 20 minutes of trial and error to get the kite airborne.Other than that, great!

Really beautiful butterfly kite - bigger and better than we thought it might be as it was good value. My daughter loves it and it is great to get the whole family out together to fly it. Very pleased with our purchase.

Amazing kite, flew really high and looked beautiful. For those saying it didn't fly well, did you unravel the ribbons? Because if you don't that will weigh the kite down and it will only fly for a few seconds.

Bought this on behave of my friend for her granddaughters. The Kite arrived in the dates specified; it was well packaged and was as described on in the product information. Her Granddaughters just loves it.

This is a great kite... took it to the beach and it flew great. Every little girl around was jealous of this kite. It's got a very long tail of ribbons that flutter in the wind... it looks really beautiful.

This kite flies really well and my 5 year old step daughter picked up flying it quickly and finds it easy to manage. Looks beautiful when in flight and has had a lot of good attentioin on the park.

Absolutely brilliant. My 5 year old daughter can fly this on her own; which is all she has wanted to do since seeing Mary Poppins. A good price, fast delivery and perfect for children.

A good buy, looked and the reviews first and was a bit iffy, but went ahead. It flys well, have found the bottom of the wings have frayed a little, but it in no way stops any flying.
